WINDOWS 10/11 , CHROMEOS , UBUNTU - Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 / S7 Plus Questions & Answer

Do you think there's any way to install WIN 10/11 on our tablet? (No emulators)[Dual Boot Maybe], even the ARM version works.
I am also ready to install (dualboot) chrome os (CloudReady), but for that we need the device to boot from live usb which maybe isn't available on our tablet, and if it is, please guide me.
I've done my part of research and I've been using the tab s 7+ for about 4 months now. I need windows or a full on chrome desktop experience of windows. My last resort for this will be Linux/Ubuntu, which i am not willing to go for, but will do if i have no other option.

I haven't heard of anyone installing windows 10 even windows 11 on an android tablet like the tab s7
Your best bet would be Linux or smth like that because the kernel would be similar.
Windows can’t be installed because Windows use a different kernel process from Linux and android, nonetheless, I don't know if anyone has managed to run it.

Won't happen.
The bootloader will not allow it and Win 10/11 does not support the Qualcomm 865 SOC.

I don't think the 845 was supported either, yet the Oneplus 6t runs Windows 11 though
Here's Windows 11 running on a OnePlus 6T months before it gets Android 11 [Video]
A talented developer has managed to install Microsoft's new Windows 11 platform on the OnePlus 6T, a device even lacking Android 11.

It loads and kinda runs, but core SOC features do not work.
So no, the 845 is not "supported".
No network, no bluetooth, no sound, partially functioning GPU... that's not a functional device.
An of course the high risk of bricking your device.

it is windows 11, idk if windows ARM would run it but idk, i rather not risk breaking my phone for installing windows

Hi,
I came across this article on how it can be done. https://www.androidauthority.com/install-windows-on-android-868800/

Hi,
I can across this link talking about software that can do it....not sure about the authenticity of the same.
Here's how to install Windows on Android tablets
You can't directly install Windows on an Android tablet, but you can certainly use it on one. Here's how to use Windows on an Android tablet.

I wish this was possible .. now i am selling my tablet over this hhhh i mean cause i need to run windows

While the Windows 11 ARM Versions start to slowley emerge for some android devices, give Parsec a try for your Remote Desktop work. It differs from RDP, since over parsec you can actually use the Host PC's GPU.
There are some android tablets that have Windows 11 up and running: https://www.notebookcheck.net/Xiaom...devices-that-can-run-Windows-11.604674.0.html

[Q] [IDEA] Dual-Boot

I am waiting for my Archos 70 to come in. It should be here the 6th. and I was just wondering would it be possible to dual-boot windows on it? Sorry if it sounds stupid but this is my first tablet and just wondered if it would be possible.
and the reason why i would like it is because I would love to run android as the main platform but would also love to be able to run certain programs like Rosetta Stone while I'm on the go.
Not until the ARM version of Windows becomes available. You might be able to CE but I haven't seen anyone do that yet. You will also need to install the SDE to dual boot.
sorry to sound noobish but what is sde and CE?

SDE is the "Special Developers Edition" of the Achos Firmware. You install it on your Archos & it will let you boot into a developer's menu which you can use to boot into other operating systems (at this point, Linux Based stuff including Android).
CE is the old-school embedable version of Windows that was used on PDAs & stuff 10 years ago. It is the precursor to Windows Mobile. It is still used in some cash registers & other specialty machines. Maybe you could manage to install it on your Archos...you won't be happy!
If I do use windows i will only use it when I want to use Rosetta Stone if it's compatible. But if we can do that we can switch between android and windows whenever we want?
NOOOOO.
You could only install Windows CE if ever.
And that is not a PC Windows.

[Q] Asus FHD 10 ME302C (x86) boot windows 8?

I know it's possible to unlock the bootloader for the FHD 10 but how would I boot windows? I noticed people flash rooted images after they unlock bootloaders, would booting windows be the same? Would I need to create a windows image and then flash it like one would a rooted image?
Here's how to root the FHD 10 . Flashing full versions of windows 8.1 on and android x86 device seems like something no one has done yet. It will be awesome when it happens though.
Technically the hardware could support Windows 8, but I doubt we'll be seeing anyone trying to bring the OS to the ME302C. There just aren't enough developers interested in the tablet and it's not as simple as putting windows onto a new computer is.
windows on mobile devices (all versions) does not get as much support as android. and they are not open source so their hacks and mods are very few.
A $250 Win 8 tablet will draw in developers. I believe a lot of Asus Transformer Prime Devs will be interested.
As for installing windows, your right, tablet bios' are very basic.Either a bios will need to be ported or something like twrp2 could be used to make flashing a windows image manageable.
The biggest problem is getting things to work on x86, even the asus bootloader unlock was written for ARM and needs to be recompiled.
Another problem is storage. Even 32GB is not enough for Windows (not RT).
If you managed to install OS on SD, it's a different story.
Windows 8.1 has a minimum storage requirement of 16 GB. Installing programs would be best on a micro sd card. Although the fhd comes in both 16 and 32 gb. Enough to install microsoft office and some other productivity apps without a sd card.

WINE 3.0 for YOGA BOOK

Wine 3.0 has been released recently and it now supports android, especially x86 android, like our beloved YB.
Unfortunately, im using windows version.
ive tried the WINE 3.0 on my Shield Tablet (arm), it works but with limited function. i only got to play with the windows calculator. media player comes pre-installed but doesnt run. maybe because my android tablet was ARM-based.
ive discovered that for android, the C:/ directory is at /data/data/org.winehq.wine/ - so you would probably need to root your device.
for those who have the YB android, pls let us know what you think
I tried to get Office 2016 working in Wine 3.1 but got an error upon install. I haven't had a chance to try any other installs

Question How can I move from Windows 10 to 11?

Explain the full process for me because I want to migrate my system window 10 to window 11.
If your computer supports Windows 11 (you can check it using "Windows PC Health Check App").

And also intel cpu greater than 8th gen or Ryzen 3 (3rd gen or up) / Ryzen 5+ (2nd gen or up)
Yes.
I've had it running on my 2600k but didn't like it and went back to 10. Rufus is your friend. To hard finding drivers when I did it. January when I tried. Planning on waiting a couple more builds then trying it again. I mainly want Android Subsystem so I don't have to emulate
If you don't have the hardware to run it, there is a good build called ghost spectre. It's what I use and it's great.
