Question Low volume bluetooth - Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite 5G

Hello,
This is my first Xiaomi phone and overall im pretty satisfied with it. Thé only issue om having is, i use my phone constantly through bluetooth in my car and when playing music i have to crank it up to 25 tot have thé same effect that i had with my Huawei P20 on volume 12 in my car.
Is there a fix for this? Ive seen through Google that changing thé region would do something but u tried some of them but thé effect stats thé same.
Thx

Hello,
Yes, I also have this problem in my Renault Megane. With my old Mi 8 Lite, no problem, the sound was much louder...

got this issue too.
MIUI, inbuilt smart equalizer is particularly at fault there.

Install Goodev volume amplification and set to around 7%. U welcome

@Anarchy4jaxx
Tested the following things thurs far:
1) absolute volume is turned on by default (louder -> poor quality)
2) absolute volume turned off (volume significantly lower)
3) disabling bluetooth a2dp offload (after reboot nothing happens)
4) changing region (no change in volume, maybe just higher volume step)
5) The next possible step is to find a way to get access to modify system via root, but its read only... eh
This low volume i suspected was due to my bluetooth devices, but the same devices work at higher volumes using other phones or computers - basically anything that isnt this phone is louder. I suspect that it is the software [im guessing you're on stock rom like me?] It may be worth trying to flash a gsi aosp build as a way to check if this is a MIUI specific problem.
This is a big concern for me because i bought the device specifically for audiophile purposes -> assuming bluetooth is the future, 5.2 version is future proof. I hope this low volume issue isn't hardware related.

Yeah i use it in the meantime, but i would like a permanent fix. Soundboosters make the songs sound less Quality, if you know what i Mean. But in the meantime it Gets the job done.

Van erre megoldás? Láttam a Google-on keresztül, hogy a thé régió megváltoztatása tenne valamit, de u kipróbált néhányat, de thé hatás statisztika thé ugyanaz.

My Opel Astra is fine with volume when connected over BT. The only thing I see asa problem is that I can't read SMS messages on vehicle's player any more, as I used to with the previous Mi9T. I know it's not android 11 related, but Miui (12.5) or BT version (v5.2) related.

Huawei P1 Low Volume
I felt the same with you, the volume should be louder. Anyone has a solution?
I have the same issue. Even I usually listen to the music via BT headset,in the car I connect P1 with the car radio through 3,5mm jack and output definitely needs to be louder. If there is no way,how to fix it in ,then we have to wait for the new firmware I guess.

Ascend P1 low volume solution
This is a trick I figured out on my Huawei U8100 to boost volume that also works on the Ascend P1 (U9200). The effect is not huge but I guarantee you it works. This works explosively huge on the U8100, but Huawei seems to have "fixed" it partly on their new phones.
- Turn off/quit all music players, then start the FM radio.
- Click the "power" button to activate the FM tuner, then use the volume buttons to turn the volume *all the way down*. Not kidding.
- Press the home button and start your music player as usual. Adjust volume to maximum (the FM volume is maintained separately, so the tuner will remain quiet).
You can go back to the FM app and turn it on/off to see the effect. The difference is small on Ascend P1 but gives audio more punch and quality. The FM app will remember its volume setting when you start it next time. Running the FM app can also fix the problem of audio cutting out or quality going bad if you're not using the stock 4-contact headset.
In combination with this I use the latest version of Volume+ (I downloaded free version from the developer's web site). This version of Volume+ does *not* need root. Don't crank it too high because this can cause distortion. Use the EQ for best results, see image for my settings.
This app uses the Android EQ API available since Android 2.3. The Ascend P1 unfortunately has known problems with stereo imaging, which is the reason a bit of Stereo Widening in Volume+ helps.
Georg
PS: The FM app has a widget which makes it quicker to access to turn on/off. Lately I'm using a bit more gentle EQ, no bass boost, stereo widening = 1 for a more natural sound.
It works!
This seems crazy but it works, it´s not much more spl but it´s definetly better, anyway i bought a Fiio E3 Headphone Amp for 10 bucks in adittion to this trick and a litte bit of EQ my Ascend P1 it´s quite good

Thanks Urmet77... your fix is for rooted devices, I rooted my device yesterday and applied your audio configuration fixes, definitely works great. It is the definitive fix for the low volume problem, but requires knowledge of rooting, linux shell, and superuser commands. The best non-root solution is still my post above.
Good thing with Ascend P1 is that you do not need to replace your phone's ROM to achieve root. In other words, you just do enough of the rooting sequence to acheive su privileges, but can stop before flashing a new recovery ROM or firmware. I also did not lose any user data or settings, although you are still strongly advised to back up.
Some pointers for those interested, keep in mind it's possible to permanently disable (brick) your phone. You are solely responsible for any mishaps.
- Rooting guide: www . androidiani . com/forum/modding-huawei-ascend-p1/279692-guida-huawei-ascend-p1-u9200-aio.html
- You'll need both ADB and fastboot drivers from the Android SDK (step 2 under "First of all").
- Test Fastboot drivers using 'fastboot devices'. My Huawei showed up as "?", this is ok.
- Links to get Clockworkmod and SU_Busybox_Package.zip are in the second post of the rooting guide.
- I had trouble using volume keys to boot into fastboot/bootloader mode, had to use the ADB command "adb reboot bootloader".
- Do just steps 1 - 9 under "How to Root".
- Then you can apply Urmet77's volume fix: www . modaco . com/topic/361718-fix-low-earphone-volume-fix-for-huawei-p1-p9200-stock-ics-403
For the last step you'll need to know how to transfer files to and from your computer to the system partition, activate su, remount /system read-write, set/restore any required file/dir permissions. Remember a wrong command can brick your phone. I reduced the volume settings somewhat by editing the .conf files to be sure distortion is minimized, my settings in all 6 .conf files under [Music] ... <headset>:
Headset Playback Volume=12
DL1 Media Playback Volume=113
This is still plenty loud, thanks Urmet77. I still use Volume+ to add a bit of EQ and stereo widening, many EQ apps on Google Play do the same thing.
Now a shameless plug... I use this phone to develop my audio apps "SoundWire" (live audio transmission / wireless headphones) and Music VU (rapidly updating level meter and spectrum widgets for any music player). Look them up on Google Play.
Georg
Headset Playback Volume=12
DL1 Media Playback Volume=113
My default is 18 and 115 but it depends on earphones i dont have any disortion and u are welcome for the fix
Has the issue been fixed in official update?
Hi there,
I'm considering buying the phone, and I was just guessing, since the original posts are quite old, whether the issue has been solved in any of the official firmware updates released so far.
Thanks in advance.

Problem with music listening

I`ve a problem with listening to music on my L9. I use Poweramp player. When I set the volume full to show the information about a fact that is not healthy blah blah blah ... and after a few minutes of listening to disconnect the headphones. Plug it in again, I set the volume almost full, and again the same problem. Headphones work fine. In winamp I do not have this problem. How do I fix this?

No, it`s not. I tried on other headphones and it is still the same. At maximum volume phone stops see headphones-I do not know how to precisely call it. Just disconnects. On the polish android forum I've seen that not only I have a problem with that, however, no one can find a solution.

Headphones should work, also the crappy Headset coming with the phone.
I encountered similar problems with a headset and a multimedia headphone adapter for Symbian phones.

First thing first.....How is built-in LG Music is doing? Is it working fine with speakers and headphones, etc?
Maybe he's talking about the volume limiter? Whenever you plug in something to the headphone jack, it pops up a notice about restricting volume and/or listening to volume at high levels can cause injury. I know that when plugging the L9 into something as a line-out, I have to crank the volume to max AND crank the volume of whatever speaker/device it's attached to.
For comparison, running the same app and music via a bluetooth media device the volume is equal to that of my iPhone. AKA: it sounds "normal." So it's using some sort of volume limiter on the 3.5mm out as far as I can tell, and I haven't been able to find a way around it. Though I haven't been looking too hard.
There´s this auto-volume-down mechanism, which allows to re-up the volume to max afterwards. But also the phone (P760) seems to follow the EU regulation, which is obligatory for toys only. Volume set to max is still not loud enough for me, as with my Nokia phones. But with Poweramp and Music Folder Player you can get a bit of extra juice, which is sufficient to me. For rooted devices there´s an app to directly control the Linux ALSA sound interface, but I won´t need that.

Minimum volume too loud on Oneplus X

Hi,
When I use the x oneplus as alarm clock, I find the volume too loud. Is it possible to change the minimum volume of the speaker?
Thank you all.
nobody ?
Are you on stock rom?
Me too.. Yea I think the min volume is way too loud..
I have the same problem, I nearly got a heart attack when it rang in the morning for the first time. I "fixed" it by decreasing the volume of my alarm .mp3 (I used Audacity to do it).

Really, is it the only way to fix this ? Noooooo !
I totally agree !
I wanted to use the minimum sound level when I'm at work... and it's way too loud ! It disturbs everyone.
I have to put the phone in vibrate mode... and I miss some calls because it's not strong enough...
Is there another way to fix this issue ? (with root privilege for instance ?)

I think (not 100% sure) this can be solved with an alternative kernel.
I got it kind of solved with Temasek's CM13. It comes with Viper and I'm using it's equalizer. But it more of a workaround rather...

pubg volume or any other app volume solution

Hey ppol... Many pol are upset with poco f1 for its low volume while playing games like pubg, enemies footsteps are so unheard and u get killed....
Even after setting up the mi sound enhancement nothing seems to be working,
Heres the solution which i have been using successfully,
1) adjust the equalizer and earphones in ur mi enhancement.
2) download volume booster by goodev from google store.
3) before running any app... Related to sound, switch on volume booster, i am using only 10% of the enhancement as thats sufficient for my ears and headphones, as i have noticed till 20% boost it becomes extremely loud... Ahead of that is a persons individual choice.
And vola now u can play pubg, in ur wired or wireless headphones loud and clear. And plz. Dont forget to switch off the volume booster app after u have played the game as without earphones this app also boosts the speakers of the phone (not good for speaker life) and even drains the battery if its running in background.
And the best part no root is required!!!
Kindly note i am not responsible for nything goes wrong or ur phone or ear gets damaged kindly install and use the app at ur own risk and plz. Dont go deaf loud.

I am using 10.1.3.0 itself, there are no changes in this version as well related to sound, in fact i think deep bass has taken a hit in this update.
Anyways its a option i suggested, some ppol need loud earing some ppol... Need low earing, its just the matter if anyone requires lil bit of more loud volume.

We've been discussing general Poco F1 low volume level in another current thread in this forum. I suggested investigating sound booster apps available from the Play Store. I've heard of this problem with other Android devices and people have looked at this route to improve the volume level for music, media, ringtones, etc. I've no idea how well these apps work but it is probably worth looking into as a possible solution to your problem.

Redmi Note 9S Bluetooth volume bug

I've just got the Redmi Note 9S (global version) and the phone looks and behave very good. I didn't faced wifi or display issues. But when I connected the phone to my Sony WH-1000XM3 headphones, i noticed that the volume is very low, I even needed to turn up the volume to the max on the headphones to get a comfortable volume.
I reported the issue to Xiaomi on MIUI forums and they ask me to send a logcat, so if this is really a bug, I hope they fix it on next update.
Someone here has suffered the same issue? It really bothers me, because I use the phone mainly to listen to music.
On my former phone (Mi A1) I didn't even have to touch the headphones volume control, only having the phone volume control to the middle I got a comfortable volume. Same with my laptop.

I use the same headphones. but I don't have the issue.
I do have another issue: when playing a youtube video (in background, I'm using "noadsbackgrounplaybackyt") after a random amount of time (e.g. 45 minutes) the music suddenly gets very loud. I have to disable bluetooth and connect again for normal sound.
When I use other bluetooth earpieces (mpow 5) the sound is very very loud and the only way to listen to it is to turn the volume down to the last option. Furthermore "James DSP" is not working.
I'm on the latest MIUI global (11.0.7.0) on a note 9s
Finaly I can't get Viper4android to work (probably because of the audio-editor.conf bug). For some reason I don't have write access to vendor/etc. although Magisk is allowed to edit. It's not that much of an issue because "James DSP" is working, but I've always liked Viper4a a bit more.

I think the Note 9S have the volume control messed up, I did more testing with my BT headphones, with an USB DAC and with headphones connected through 3.5 mm jack and I've got somewhat inconsistent volumes, the best result was through USB. Also I noticed that the volume steps are bad calibrated, you turn the volume up one step but the loudness increases half ( is difficult to explain here xD). You noticed this?
Hope these are software related issues and Xiaomi can solve it with a software update, and non hardware-related issues, due to the early life of the phone.
I am also having the same issue. Connected my AirPods and have to have the volume full blast to even hear it well. Have you figured out a solution for the problem?

No, I don't. I ended selling my phone, many bugs without solution.
Go into developer options and there's a setting for absolute volume
In my case - Go into developer options and disable a setting for absolute volume. And then Sound effects->Headphone remote buttons-control volume level. Normal volume in headphones now.
