Hi,
When I use the x oneplus as alarm clock, I find the volume too loud. Is it possible to change the minimum volume of the speaker?
Thank you all.
nobody ?
Are you on stock rom?
Me too.. Yea I think the min volume is way too loud..
I have the same problem, I nearly got a heart attack when it rang in the morning for the first time. I "fixed" it by decreasing the volume of my alarm .mp3 (I used Audacity to do it).

Really, is it the only way to fix this ? Noooooo !
I totally agree !
I wanted to use the minimum sound level when I'm at work... and it's way too loud ! It disturbs everyone.
I have to put the phone in vibrate mode... and I miss some calls because it's not strong enough...
Is there another way to fix this issue ? (with root privilege for instance ?)

I think (not 100% sure) this can be solved with an alternative kernel.
I got it kind of solved with Temasek's CM13. It comes with Viper and I'm using it's equalizer. But it more of a workaround rather...

I have ICS Final installed on my phone. I found a really worst problem about ringtone. I was playing music on earphone and suddenly received call from my friend and the worst thing was the ringtone played on earphone in high volume. I almost could lost my hearing power due to such dangerous behaviour of this rom.
is there any solution for this?
I think there is setting related to this in cm settings!

Do you know any way to root without unlock bootloader?

stefss: I would suggest if you do not know about modding/rooting/unlocking/etc., then stay away from these methods as you may brick your device (unusable). These are for advanced users.
Did you try checking the audio settings (Settings > Sound & Vibration > Audio settings). Try toggling the Mi Sound Enhancer switch (by the way, I observed that turning this switch on reduces the audio quality and changes the tone; better to turn this off).
There could be many reasons why you are hearing a buzzing sound:
1. Your earphone drivers might be slightly damaged. This is the most common reason (I too hear a buzzing sound on my earphones). Try using the same earphones with other devices to confirm if the cause is earphones.
2. Try playing the audio track from Play Music and toggle the equalizer settings. (setting the frequency bars to extreme values is another cause for a buzzing sound). Change media players and again check for the quality.
If you have tried the above and still hear the buzzing sound, then consider exchanging the piece if it is under warranty.
Note: If you try to mod/root/etc. your phone, you will void it's warranty so be careful.
I try with 3 new earphones, everyone is buzzing.
Audio settings is ok. Phone is new, this is reason why i think is good.
Every media player including youtube is buzzing..
But when i put headphones everythink is ok.

Get it replaced if it is under warranty.
It'd be awesome to enable the earpiece as some other devices have for media sound, that would help a lot in noisy situations, especially that the speaker is on the back.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=mobi.omegacentauri.Earpiece tested on Kate, works great... Although if you meant you'd like to use your earpiece and loudspeaker at the same time, that's not probably possible, but even if it were, it would have made hardly any difference.

Haha xD now I see it is written there... So I just tried installing it under my current rom (latest official CM13) and it still works just fine. Have you tried installing it? I have Kate. The first time I used this one was under stock stable (miui_HMNote3ProtwGlobal_V8.1.3.0.MHRMIDI_14698da799_6.0.zip).
The volume is controlled via media volume, not phone volume. So you press a volume button and then have to manually adjust media volume by expanding the volume panel.

Im using the latest lineage, im not going to change between roms just for a potential feature and not necessarily a gimmick, i still question your use of application considering it still was marshmallow what you had used

What do you mean you question it? Like I have any reason to lie about it? I can make you a video if you want. ATM I have ResurrectionRemix-M-v5.7.4-20161113-kenzo, the app also works.

nonono, i just don't understand how you're running an app without having the requirements for it
Hi. I have a J7 2017 (SM-J730F) since it was released, and there is a problem related to the main speaker that has happened to me several times.
Sometimes, the speaker stops working. Headphones, Bluetooth speakers and the call speaker work perfectly, but the main one doesn't play any sound. Instead, if you listen closely, you will hear a low static noise when something is supposed to be played, and like an electric sound when the sound is meant to be stopped.
If this happens to you, maybe you have noticed that rebooting the phone won't fix it, even in safe mode. But there is a way to make it work again: just turn down the phone and wait a couple of minutes before turning it on again.
If you have other problems with sound and/or other possible fixes for it you can share it here, so somebody may find it helpful.
Omfg thank you I thought the speaker was dead

You're welcome
It must be a software problem
It works!
That is right.
This problem occurs after you do the root.
Power off and wait for a minute or two, then power on is enough to fix this problem.
Note: This problem always occurs when you do soft reboot with a third-party application, but it does not occur when you restart in the normal way.
I liked to share my experience with this problem.
Anyway, thank you.

I've never rooted my phone, and when this happened to me my device wasn't even rebooted. It's more like a software issue, and Samsung must fix it.
But the important thing is that this fix works to everyone, so you're welcome
Recently, my J7 Pro speaker went from loud to small even though I put it on Maximum Volume, does anyone know any solutions to this ?

If you have Sound Assistant installed, check that "individual apps volumes" are set to the maximum.
Thank you dude, legend
Well, doesn't look like a software issue to me.
Thank you man it's work :fingers-crossed:

Hello,
This is my first Xiaomi phone and overall im pretty satisfied with it. Thé only issue om having is, i use my phone constantly through bluetooth in my car and when playing music i have to crank it up to 25 tot have thé same effect that i had with my Huawei P20 on volume 12 in my car.
Is there a fix for this? Ive seen through Google that changing thé region would do something but u tried some of them but thé effect stats thé same.
Thx
Hello,
Yes, I also have this problem in my Renault Megane. With my old Mi 8 Lite, no problem, the sound was much louder...
got this issue too.
MIUI, inbuilt smart equalizer is particularly at fault there.
Install Goodev volume amplification and set to around 7%. U welcome
@Anarchy4jaxx
Tested the following things thurs far:
1) absolute volume is turned on by default (louder -> poor quality)
2) absolute volume turned off (volume significantly lower)
3) disabling bluetooth a2dp offload (after reboot nothing happens)
4) changing region (no change in volume, maybe just higher volume step)
5) The next possible step is to find a way to get access to modify system via root, but its read only... eh
This low volume i suspected was due to my bluetooth devices, but the same devices work at higher volumes using other phones or computers - basically anything that isnt this phone is louder. I suspect that it is the software [im guessing you're on stock rom like me?] It may be worth trying to flash a gsi aosp build as a way to check if this is a MIUI specific problem.
This is a big concern for me because i bought the device specifically for audiophile purposes -> assuming bluetooth is the future, 5.2 version is future proof. I hope this low volume issue isn't hardware related.

Yeah i use it in the meantime, but i would like a permanent fix. Soundboosters make the songs sound less Quality, if you know what i Mean. But in the meantime it Gets the job done.

Csatlakoztassa a vezetékes fülhallgatót. Beállítások-hangok-hanghatások-hangerő-add-custom channel-test-végig egy egyéni csatorna, amely rákattint a fűtetlen. Aztán vissza a hanghatások-blutooth füles connect-hang fülhallgató-válassza ki, melyik a legjobb. Sajnálom a rossz angolt.

My Opel Astra is fine with volume when connected over BT. The only thing I see asa problem is that I can't read SMS messages on vehicle's player any more, as I used to with the previous Mi9T. I know it's not android 11 related, but Miui (12.5) or BT version (v5.2) related.
