ROMs with VoWifi on A3 2016 (A310F) - Galaxy A3, A5, A7, A8, A9 General

I'm looking for a way to get VoWifi/wi-fi calling on my girlfriends phone. at the moment it's on official lineage OS, so a way to patch LOS to enable it would be great, if it doesn't affect stability, but switching to another ROM, even if it means an older version of android, wouldn't be an issue. stability is the biggest concern.
I've read that VoWifi is enabled on some versions of the stock ROM, could i just flash the unbranded BTU version of the latest stock? or is there a good modified, debloated stock ROM for the A310F?
thanks.

Do custom rooms on nougat update the mod platform to 1.6?

Planning to get a new moto z from a carrier since theybare having a sale and not charging anything for the phone. Fiancé is planning to switch to that carrier anyway since her workplace and is switching all phones to it.
I liked the idea of the moto mod and was thinking of getting the new turbopower pack by Motorola instead of the incipio one. I read that the turbopower requires the moto mod platform to be at 1.6 for it to work. I believe the nougat update brings the platform to 1.6 right?
At the same time, I want to use custom roms on this phone and I read that going to official stock nougat updates the bootloader and brings problems to custom roms. So my question is, can custom roms update the mod platform to the latest while keeping the bootloader on marshmallow? Can we flash nougat custom roms while on marshmallow bootloader with no problems?

Is VoLTE possible at all with Kiwi-24?

I'm currently running LineageOS and don't want to flash stock unless I can get VoLTE. I've tried reading through posts but I'm still a bit confused as to whether it's available on stock Kiwi-24 or just stock Kiwi-22.
Thanks for the help.
I finally determined that it's not and kept my rooted ROM.

Confusion around Firmware versions for Custom ROMs

Hi all,
I recently purchased a Poco F1 and am planning a trajectory for flashing a custom ROM and kernel when the limit expires on unlocking. However, I'm having issues following what is the latest firmware, or MIUI version, or Android release for the unit. Let me explain:
This unit came with a MIUI 9 version that promptly got a two-step OTA to MIUI Global 10 10.0.6.0(OEJMIFH). It is running Android Oreo (8.1.0).
However, discussion in custom ROM threads as late as this week refer to MIUI 10 8.13.x builds and betas being the most recent firmware, and advise to use these firmwares that are based on Android Pie as the base for flashing custom ROMs based on Pie. Despite the older MIUI version number, the Android version is newer.
In addition, there are complaints around the touch performance of this device when using 8.12.x or earlier firmwares that I am not experiencing with this 10.0.6.0 firmware, and I don't want to introduce issues in the process of preparing this unit for a custom ROM.
Basically, I'm not sure what my trajectory should be if I wish to use a MIUI beta ROM, or if I wish to flash something like LineageOS while retaining or updating the touchscreen firmware appropriately. Can I simply unlock the bootloader, flash TWRP, then flash a custom ROM as I have done in the past on other devices? Can I update the touch firmware separately?
Any help would be much appreciated, thanks.

If you flash a custom ROM over what you have (Oreo), you will retain the existing firmware & modem. If it is compatible with the ROM flashed, you will not have any issues.
It is possible to flash firmware & modem alone at any time if it is available separately.

Custom ROM YouTube won't load

I've seen this issue crop up in many custom ROM threads but I haven't seen any resolution.
I am using the US998 model.
After installing several custom ROMs (LineageOS 16.9, LiquidRemix 10.X, AospExtended, and ResurrectionRemix 7.0) and opening YouTube it never gets past the loading icon to display any videos. I can see the options such as Library, Inbox, Subscriptions, etc but none of them load content. The app never transitions to even previews of content or text.
I've tried the following
Clean installs of each ROM (and GApps) from stock Pie
Stock Pie and dirty flash of custom ROM
Uninstall of YouTube with Titanium Backup, then install YouTube from Playstore
The only custom Pie ROM that has YouTube working is Havoc.
I've tried Magisk modules like YouTube Vanced but it doesn't fix the problem.
I enjoy Havok but would prefer a less customized ROM like Lineage (it's my first choice).
Has anyone found a solution for this?
Same exact issue after buying a new LG V30. I didn't have this issue on my old one. Also worth mentioning, my camera doesn't work as well. Everything works on Stock pie. Tried a couple custom roms, none of them work. Same issue as mentioned in this thread: https://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-v30/help/camera-app-issues-upgrading-to-pie-t3974765
Except that thread talks about stock pie, not custom roms.

You read about the camera degradation issues and other sensors for custom ROMs if you've been on stock Pie, right? Even if you downgrade back to Oreo, you will forever have to run permissive kernel on LOS-16 based custom ROMs and it can affect certain functions on stock Oreo as well.
We have enough warnings in all the Pie KDZ threads, it's clearly detailed in the Root Sticky Guide, and linked in the WTF INSTRUCTIONS.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-v30/how-to/root-v30-t3927154
* ALSO do NOT update to LG stock Pie yet if you wish to run LOS-16 "Pie" custom ROMs -- at least for now. See REASON HERE. Stock Pie update conflicts with LOS-16 Pie, even if you downgrade back to stock Oreo. After stock Pie update, your phone has been permanently changed/degraded when going back to Oreo for custom ROMs. Using Permissive kernel can overcome some of those issues, but you have been warned.
Whereas you do need to update to stock Pie first as a foundation before trying to install "Android 10" LOS-17 custom ROMs. However, those ROMs are still unfinished work in progress -- so if you don't like them and want to go back to the older stable LOS-16 "Pie" custom ROMs, then you've totally ignored the warning above. Again, stock Pie makes permanent changes.

Basically don't update to stock Pie if you want to run LOS-16 custom ROMs. If you downgrade back to Oreo, you will have flashlight/camera problems and other sensors. Some of that can be overcome with permissive kernel, some can't.
It's one of the reasons I'm still on stock rooted Oreo with Anxious V30 mod and Xposed mods and have not yet updated to stock Pie on my main phone.

Unfortunately I bought it used with Stock Pie on it already, but was still able to bootloader unlock it through the downgrade method.. Is there any way to remove these issues or is it permanent? Would downgrading to Nougat be possible/remedy anything? Is my only option to stay on stock and wait for LOS 10 to be ready?

Definately download the stock firmware first. I forgot, and I'm having a hard time getting the right version.
I did not check headphones yet, but audio/video is all well. Currently I have another OS (Evolution) installed, I might revert back to LineageOS in a few days. I will check headphones then.
Main issue I'm having now is the mobile service connection. It's very unreliable, and the data is always off. Also on Evolution OS, so it might be the phone's hardware. (Did not check out of the box.)
Edit, okay, back to LineageOS 17.1. Don't know how, but the modem works now.
It was about this file: amss_fsg_poplar_tar.mbm
I think because I installed Lineage 19 without simcard.
I tried to flash stock ROM, but could not get it to work.
A lot of "invalid Zip format" errror messages...
So I tried LOS 17, and it al worked, then dirty installed 18, and then 20. And modem worked, but then failed.
Back to 17.1 again, and up till now no problemos.
