My contacts are empty - Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 / S7 Plus Questions & Answer

In Google Contacts I can't see any info, but when I press the edit button, I can see the details of the contact. No issues in the default Samsung contacts app. Anyone else having this issue? Anyone know a fix?

GO SMS Facebook contact issue

Hi, I am using both GO Dialer and GO SMS and have come to notice that both my Google and Facebook contacts show up in GO Dialer, though only my Google contacts show up in GO SMS. I have tried possibly everything I can think of, yet I still am experiencing the same problem. Hard pressing on a Facebook contact and hitting Send SMS will lead to me to GO SMS, but it will only show the number of that contact. Wondering if there was a way to fix this or do I have to literally add everybody to my Google contacts?

It has something to do with Go SMS not being able to get the contact pictures from Facebook or something. I had this issue before and I believe that downloading Friendcaster and syncing with your contacts would work. Try that out to see if it works.
EDIT: Just make sure that if you go that route that you link all of those contacts together so you don't have any duplicates.

on the Contacts App look for "Contacts to Display" it's right before the settings
this is for messaging, not in contacts. In contacts everything is normal but when i try to add contacts in messaging, it shows double
I would like to know if this is also possible, It's annoying to see all the contacts in messaging apps

[Q] Help Editing Contacts

I am on a stock based rom using gmail to sync my exchange account email, contacts, etc. I have removed the stock mail app. When I try to edit an Exchange contact, it doesn't give me the option, i.e. I press the contact name to open, then press the the three dots in the upper right, no option to "Edit Contact". I can edit all google contacts without issue. I seem to remember being able to edit Exchange contacts when using the native mail app. Any ideas on how to solve this?

Google Contacts App - Link contacts

Can anyone please explain me how i can merge multiple contacts with the Google Contacts app? According to https://support.google.com/contacts/answer/7078226?hl=en, i should tap the hamburger menu and use the suggestions. But the suggestions area is empty for me. For example, i have the same contact in multiple accounts. One in WhatsApp, another one from a exchange server and the same contact from a DAV service. Now, i want to merge/link all the 3 contacts to one entry. Some of my contacts are automatically merged. I see that, because i can WhatsApp them from the merged entry. But other contacts are not automatically merged and i see no way to merge them. In the automatically merged contact, I have a menu entry to unlink the contact, but in the unlinked contacts not. I think, if there is a way to unlink a contact, there must be also a way to link the contacts.
Any ideas or suggestions?
Same problem here and without solution too
I wish there would be a more intuitive description or a solution. I didn't want to save my contacts on Google servers. That's not a solution, because, i think they are not save there. I didn't trust Google in such a case.
