Question Swiping doesn't work - Redmi Note 10

Hello guys, I am having trouble on using Redmi Note 10 Global as the swiping stopped working from a week.
Its too difficult to use Gesture Navigation, Scrolling etc. where swiping is used. But tapping works on anywhere.
I thought it was due to MIUI but the problem still exists even after I installed xiaomi.eu
Is it just me or is it for everyone? Is there any fixes to this problem?

It doesn't matter if it's global, EU or otherwise.
The phone doesn't care and has identical hardware.
The difference can only be in the build quality and especially in the versions. It is necessary to use the latest available version for all types.
So in these cases without full backup. Perform a factory reset.

Good Stable CM13 ROM from existing ones

I am currently on MIUI 7 global stable and want to flash CM13. Can you please guide me to which are the options I have currently for :
- Good calls and call volume (I use 3G only..no LTE)
- Bluetooth pairing and music through bluetooth headphones
- Working Camera
- Fingerprint (I have a FPC102..checked via AIDA64)
No offense but I saw most of the devs mentioning in the bugs section "You Tell" but there are some ifs and buts..
I already have TWRP flashed..
Most of you might have already tried all the ROMS..hence asking your opinion..thank you dear friends and the wonderful devs
Official CM13 has almost no problems for me (I say almost because I haven't encountered any that haven't been fixed in a day or two). Fingerprint is faster than MIUI tbh. Must be because fingerprint is baked-in in android marshmallow. Don't have to bother with MIUI force closing apps (torrent apps always closed after some time in MIUI) . Multitasking is great! With MIUI my phone felt like a 1.5 GB phone with its aggressive memory handling. Regarding camera the camera quality may have degraded slightly or it may just be placebo. But the MIUI camera app is definitely nicer and faster. That's the only thing I'm missing from MIUI. Some people have problems like fingerprint not working (even if Aida show FPC102), battery always stuck at 2% or 50%, led not working etc with official Cm13 but none of those problems for me . So stability would probably depend upon your luck.
I haven't tried Santosh's CM13 as it is said to lock bootloader again. I have tried resurrection remix but some bugs like recent apps showing even Android system (which has been present since resurrection lollipop in all devices. It doesnt hinder much but Android system is not supposed to show in recent apps. To understand what I'm talking about, when you open say a YouTube link it shows menu for which app you would like to open the link with and even that will be present in the recent apps.) and data not working ( data may be fixed by now though). I haven't tried other because Official one satisfied me very much.
Try the official one for once and see if you have any bugs. If not restore MIUI. MIUI 8 is coming and it seems it has some cool features but nothing to bring me back to MIUI.

Where to start...

Hi guys. Just got confirmation that the 32/4 GB model I ordered has been dispatched so hoping to receive it in a week or two. Will need to get it up and running ASAP when it arrives, because my daughter is itching to get her hands on my current phone to replace her broken one, but as this is my first LeTV/LeEco phone, and my first Chinese grey import phone, I am a little confused about where to start to get it set up as I need. I am not sure if it is coming factory sealed with the Chinese stock firmware, or with a reseller installed ROM, but since the reseller said it is "preinstalled" I'm guessing factory stock. I have read through many of the threads on these XDA pages for the device, but as there are various ROMS and various stock SKUs it is a bit overwhelming. Hope you guys can give me your opinions.
How I am hoping to get the phone set up is as follows: at least basic Google functionality (Play Store, Calendar Sync, Contacts Sync), as little visible Chinese language as possible (preferably none), no active bloat (I definitely don't want to see the LeEco TV and video crap). Stability and decent battery life are more important to me than trying to get a more vanilla android experience, so I am thinking a stock ROM or stock-based ROM are better for me than trying Resurrection or CM (at least at first).
I am wondering if I should (a) stay with the stock Chinese firmware, try to install basic google apps and root/debloat it myself, or (b) flash the stock Indian firmware and root/debloat it myself, or (c) flash one of the debloated stock based ROMS. And if I go for option (c), I am not really sure whether to go for TeamSpain or Cuoco. What are their relative merits or demerits?
Hope some of you guys who already have this phone can give me your recommendations. Thanks!
P.S. My native language is English and I do not require any other languages (as long as I can install Google Japanese keyboard)
I've had mine for two weeks.
1. Download all the updates (latest 17s)
2. You can then choose between US or UK English.
3. Play store is pre-installed so download all the apps you prefer, like mail, browser, calender etc. and in App management go to Default apps at the bottom and then make your choice.
4. Remove the Le TV screen on the left of the home screen by long press it and click on the eye on the top and Le TV will dissappear next time.
5. To remove the Live button on the home screen you have to download a Launcher, I have the Nova launcher (Prime) and with the Prime version I can hide all the bloatware apps.
6. The Leeco bloatware is very resource friendly and
doesn't use upp any battery for what I can notice and with a launcher like nova there is no need to potentially ruin your phone already because Leeco will probably provide a couple more updates.
Any questions feel free to ask
@Barnis78 has already mentioned the most important things.
i for one use it with the Standard Rom Chinese 17s and Google Stock Launcher. And i Love it.
I don't remove Bloatware cause as Barnis mentioned it's no Problem at all, and you've got the Advantage that you get all the ota updates..
Thanks guys, that's really good stuff to know. I have Nova Prime too, so if the bloat is not impacting on device resources I may just do as you guys and go stock.
@Barnis78 do contacts sync properly with Google?

It did not with 16s, it turned out that the Google account settings didn't have the Contact option so I downloaded the Google contact sync 6.0.1 apk and restarted the phone and it worked. You will have 17s version
when the phone is updated so check when the Google account is setup if you have Contacts sync in the settings.
One more thing, if your calls disconnects after 2-3 minutes, go to the Dual Sim & mobile network settings and turn of VoLTE HD calls.

Phone calls, they did disconnected after 2-3 minutes when talking to people. I didn't know what the reason was at first but the reason was the 'Volte HD call' setting. You have to phone a person who also have the same setting, the carrier also has to support it of course.

Sorry mate, I was just joking - you know, phone calls, nobody makes phone calls anymore.
Actually, I do hardly make or receive any calls nowadays. But your info is good to know anyway. Thanks.
I'm thinking it might be better to flash the latest official Indian firmware, rather than the Chinese. I gather the Indian one has Google play services already built-in. Is it a simple process to flash that one? And is there any disadvantage to using the Indian firmware over the Chinese?
I'm also interested in the same, wether Chinese or Indian is the better deal regarding Stock firmware?

I'm running stock and the latest Chinese 19s, there isn't a single issue up until now. I had to recalibrate the fingerprint though. The battery life is very good, I charge once every 24 hours, I get like 6 hour more compared to the 17s version.

How do you update to the 19s? Do you have to do it via TWRP, or you can simply change the rom file to update.zip and then update from the file manager? Thanks

Was using Cuoco92 latest 17S based, but flashed stock 19S last night. It's a lot more effort to get it set up - get google stuff installed and working properly, root, debloat etc. But once it is done it seems to be working well. Latest xposed v86 works, fingerprint sensor works well, they fixed the theme selector bug (though I use Google Now launcher, so that isn't really relevant to me). Not sure about battery yet, but 17S was ok so if it is the same I'll be happy.

I'm running original, no root so with this update you download and place the file in the root directory in the internal memory, (no subfolders) I downloaded direct to my phone so I had to cut the file from Download directory and place it direct in the internal memory, the phone won't find the file otherwise. Then you have to rename the file to update.zip. Then go to System Update in settings and do a Local update, the phone will find the file automatically. Just leave the phone when it's updating, it will take several minutes.
I am also running 17s stock chinese firmware. I have Nova launcher and everything seems to be working fine. my carrier does not support VoLte so I have it disabled.
I am holding off on the 19s until its deemed stable by Leeco and add it to their OTA update. I dont want to beta test it
19S, with root and xposed, gravity box, and the leaked Pixel launcher is very stable and useable. Very pleased with it.
Started having a lot of problems with play store yesterday, both on Chinese 19S and 17S-based Cuoco92. In the end I decided it was too much hassle and just installed the Indian 16S. It gets lower Antutu scores and you have no control over the Dolby Atmos settings (as far as I can find) but otherwise it's stable and smooth and has a lot less bloat than the Chinese firmware. Overall, it's probably a better option I reckon.

Battery drain issue at X2_X820-OS-OP-FGXOSOP5801607292S firmware Indian firmware.
For some reason my phone pretty much discharges 30% itself in about 12 hours while idle. WiFi is off, GPS is off, Bluetooth is off, Sync is off, all opened programs are closed. On LE_X2_X820-CN-FN-FEXCNFN5801607221S-5.8.016S or 17 firmware battery is good

Hi,
I can confirm that the Phone as delivered is free from bloatware for the most part (if doesn't sit around in the background) , The Chinese EUI factory rom 5.8.015s (mine has had zero problems) Is incredible fast My first run Anatutu was 145,725 and the EUI system menu style while not AOSP like it more than effective. Just install Google now and you are good to go.
I had a minor problem with finger prints but once I calibrated the sensor and used a better finger, Its funny how over time certain fingers are worn, lol.
I was going to root mine and Rom it but once I got my Max 2 I have been too busy snapping photos, videos, making calls to even bother !
I am looking forward to maybe android 7 from LeEco, which I'm sure they are working on, Again taking nothing away from the developer guys here.
If you want to be your daily driver I would leave it alone for now unless you want to.
cheers

[X829] physical capacitive navigation buttons malfunction - touches are ignored

Hi everyone,
It's a brand new phone (arrived yesterday) and I'm upset immensely.
Physical capacitive navigation buttons sometimes miss up to 5 touches in a row. You click them and nothing happens.
I have a suspicion that it's due to LineageOS that I installed right after buying the phone but I've got a feeling that a stock firmware had the same issue.
This phone has a thick protection film (factory installed) but the main screen receives all the touches without any problems - only the capacitive buttons work poorly.
Should I install the factory firmware back? I don't want to remove the protection film because it's very sturdy and nice.
Has anyone experienced this issue?
Common sense would say remove the film and try without before concluding they are faulty.
The factory installed screen protector is real flexible, they pull up easy and go back on easy. You could try lifting it at the bottom and then trying the buttons to see if it makes any difference. If you do it slow you can bow the screen protector to a 90 degree angle without unseating the top half.
I've figured out it's actually a lag in LineageOS. The ROM wants me to slow down - IOW when I let the OS finish drawing, all the touches are registered just fine.
This is absolutely confusing since my Nexus 5 with a two times slower CPU and four times slower GPU never missed a single press, while LineageOS misses way too many presses.
I wonder if this issue affects the stock ROM as well and other ROMs for that matter.
The best way to reproduce this issue is to have several apps running then pressing these buttons in a quick succession:
"Recent Apps" -> "Home"
"Recent Apps" -> "Home"
"Recent Apps" -> "Home"
"Recent Apps" -> "Home"
"Recent Apps" : totally ignored
Then even when I have the settings app running sometimes the "Back" button doesn't work at all: open the settings app, then quickly press "Security" and the "Back" button immediately after it will not register (100% reproducible). If you press "Security" then pause for a second, then the Back button works.
IOW it's lags and lags only. Now I wonder if it's a LineageOS bug or something is wrong with my device.

Not had that issue on my x829 on any rom I have used. Always instant including on Los.
I'm going to record a video and show it to you. Hold on.
I suggest you install stock rom and try that and without the film. May have even been a bad flash?
What's the meaning of "bad" flash? I wiped everything except user data, I cleaned installed LineageOS 20170409 with zero mods or extra zips aside from gapps. It's as clean as possible.
Here's the video:
No need for video as we believe you lol. Just mean it did not install correctly etc. If you never even tried the phone in stock form you have no idea if it was there from the start etc.
I found Los had too many bugs for me and it got hot so never tried again. My phone also did not come with any screen protector just the film it has on from new.
It could be an hardware fault and installing a stock rom should tell you.
I'm afraid of installing stock for a couple of reasons:
1) I've got a X829 hw which doesn't have an official ROM available anywhere on the internet and I didn't know I should have dumped it prior to flashing LOS.
2) I've heard stories that TWRP may brick your device if you update from a custom ROM to a stock ROM. I cannot find a manual how to get to stock after flashing a custom ROM.
3) Since there's no X829 ROM available, I'm not sure which one I should install - Indian or Chinese, and if they are 100% compatible with my hardware.

I'm pretty sure WIPE actually wipes everything (and I did wipe everything) so there's no way to mis-flash LOS.
All roms are compatible on x829 and can confirm as tried them all. Currently on 23s Chinese. You can install from twrp and no need to rename it. Need to boot straight back to twrp after installing stock or stock recovery gets installed which has happened to me twice but easy to re install twrp.
No issue going from stock to custom and back as I have done it many times until I settled on stock Chinese as its got least bugs of em all.
It's not an isolated issue: people are having it too: https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=71452126&postcount=83
I've just flashed boot.img from lineage-13.0-20170225 and the system feels a lot snappier than before, however some touches are still not registered. It's all kinda unpleasant because when I was buying this phone I was hoping that custom ROMs are as good as the original Nexus 5 firmware, but it's clearly not the case. There are very rough edges all around.
Custom roms on these will never be as good as on a nexus as nexus official roms get fixes quickly but you don't from Le eco.
ResurrectionRemix-M-v5.7.4-20170329-x2.zip is free from this issue but I don't like this ROM for other reasons (built in ... Russia; no OTA updates; has tons of dubious features, like root access; it's old - security update from January 1st, 2017; various things are missing as if someone hacked it from another ROM and forget to add the necessary strings). Damn, I really don't want to use the Chinese ROM and it seems like with LeEco Le Max2 it's either the Chinese ROM or have bugs and lags.
Edit: please tell me how exactly should I flash the stock ROM back?
Wipe everything as usual and then install the zip with TWRP? That's it? No hidden pitfalls or anything? I don't want to brick my device.

Yes install just like you said above. Just need to either download play store from Le store or download apk online like I did. I just google latest. Don't try and flash gapps as it don't work.
I have the same touch problem.

Touch screen lagging on changing direction

Hello. Few days ago I've got Huawei M5 10
And I've found strange behavior of the touch screen.
Long story short :
If you slowly move finger in one direction, and then change the direction, touch screen doesnt detect changing of direction and doesn't follow the finger. It waits for 10-15 (or more) pixels and only after that it places touch point into correct position.
I wanted to add video but XDA prohibits me
Its not a problem in regular work, but its annoying in games because you can't take aim in any shooters.
Do you have the same?
I haven't gamed much on my 8.4", but when new I initially experienced some buggy scrolling, possibly similar to what you describe, inside web browsers and what not.
If you are experiencing the same, I recommend:
Upgrading to the latest available OTA. (I actually hate upgrading software, but this was forced o me after a boot loop)
Disable/Delete Chrome (so it doesn't take over for Android System Webview)
Uninstall any updates to Android System Webview (after a reset, some buggy behavior returned for me immediately after updating Webview)
There are other things you can do if rooted. But those were the big things that seemed to fix touchscreen behavior for me. fwiw I can't discount that my upgrade to B153 may have helped, but I suspect that Chrome/Webview was the issue all along.
Thanks for answering
I've already updated Android and even tried to play with screen resolution (thought that because of huge resolutions touchscreens have this problem)
I can't paste link to YouTube but you can find the video named 'huawei medipad m5 10 screen lagging?'
I show there a bug.
Notice that in the name of video Mediapad replaced with Medipad. It's okay.
I'm having the same problem as you but i am pretty sure this is a software issue... But it doesn't bother me much as I use my tablet more for work than games
Hi, did anyone find a fix for this problem?
I don't have this problem on my 8.4. I play alot of first person shooters.

[Q] Notification Delay Problem.

Hey everyone,
I've been having this awful problem with some of my apps (not all) on my Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite phone, running the 10.2.2.0 Global Stable ROM. Most of the times there's a delay in receiving the notifications - sometimes I get them instantly, sometimes the delay is just 2-3 minutes, but sometimes it's a lot more than that.
I literally tried every single option and guide on how to receive notifications instantly (e.g. this one right [**HERE**](http://en.miui.com/thread-268224-1-1.html)), but sadly non of this fixed the issue. I even rooted the phone, just to be able to convert some apps to system apps as stated in the guide above, but that didn't help either.
Having the absolute same issue on my other phone - a Redmi 5 Plus, which leads me to believe that it's not the particular phone, but most probably a MIUI thing. These same apps deliver notifications instantly on a Samsung or an HTC.
Does anyone here experience the same and is there a fix for that? Thanks!
It's more like an android thing, I've got that in all my phones so far.
It's a matter of MiUI, it needs to polish a lot the issue of notifications, especially for teams that have notch ...
