Case with built in battery for Pixel4a (not 5g) - Google Pixel 4a Accessories

I seem to find ones for the pixel4a 5G but not the plain 4a. Not sure if I can trust chinese sites on this.
Anyone actually bought a case with built in battery? (Specific models or links please)

The manufacturers seem to stop for the 1st gen.
Probably because of the 5G launch.

[Q] Sub-Model and Case Fitment?

Been searching for a case to order so I will have it ready to go when my Note II finally ships. However, I'm seeing some information on ebay indication that some of the cases only fit the GT-N7100 model and will not fit other sub-models? I was under the impression that there was no difference is shape/size among any of the carrier variants? Can someone confirm?
Here's just one such case that I found that alludes to fitment differences among the variants.
Black Flip Case for Note II
I have heard talks about the edges may being different, but I really doubt it. This hasn't been confirmed and from the leaked pictures the phones look exactly the same. I'm pretty sure the only reason the USA has different models is due to carrier frequencies and technologies (GSM & CDMA).

I hope you're right and am keeping my fingers crossed. However, it does give me pause in pre-purchasing some accessories for the phone.
I was hoping there was a way to use the front cover with replacement battery door and a case but it looks impossible unless someone made one specifically for it. You would think Samsung would have had the genius to design one.

What S7 SM-G930F (Exynos version) battery?

I've been looking at the samsungparts website and they have multiple versions of the 930F and each has multiple batteries in its respective section, by that I mean it has two batteries listed with different a part number each and slightly different price.
I don't know which one to order. Why would they have two batteries listed?
Sent from my [device_name] using XDA-Developers Legacy app
If someone knows please let us know because i'm interested too.
From what I can tell, every S7 variant (snapdragon/exynos) uses the same exact battery. Which makes sense from a manufacturing standpoint.
here's a tip though, don't order one that says Samsung on it. Samsung doesn't sell replacement batteries so they are all counterfeits. I tried one and the connector broke off about 2 months after installing (it broke off inside the phone, with the back glass sealed... wtf?)
Find another brand on amazon or some other website you trust and order a battery that is highly rated, it's your best option.
EDIT: Wow, did not know that there was a genuine Samsung parts distributor... Here it is
This is what you want:
https://www.samsungparts.com/GH43-04574A-BATTERY.html
Model is GH43-04574A / EB-BG930ABE
EDIT AGAIN: I see what you mean about the different Model Numbers, GH43-04574A VS GH43-04574C. I'd assume they are just from different suppliers, or perhaps a slight revision, but they should both be compatible. Order either you should be fine.

Samsung does have replacement batteries, they just don't retail them it doesn't mean an approved service center cannot buy them and resell them. In addition others simply buy new phones and part them but indeed most of those are counterfeits.
I am currently also looking to buy a replacement battery for my S7 but all these sites in EU dont seem trustworthy. Places like samsungparts.eu and samsung-parts.net kinda look like the usa one but i cant find any real information about them if they are official one's.
I think snapdragon

Where to buy from? UK

So here's the thing I want the pro version of this phone... But I have no idea where to buy from.
There's so much conflicting reports about global versions... And local versions...
Firstly I feel the posted price for the European phone is insane... A massive markup from the Indian and Chinese version. But truth be told I've yet to actually find a reputable EU /UK based seller...
So far I've only found the dodgy shops that import from China. So I have no idea if I'm really getting a 9t pro with b20 and widevine/windvine? Support and a locked bootloader... Yes I bank on my phone... Or a hacked global rom k20 that doesn't have these things.
I've also heard that the Indian k20 pro does have all this support but there's no hard facts in it...
I live out in the country so I can't live without b20. And I bank on it so I can't use a hacked rom.
So where am I meant to buy this phone from at a reasonable price?
Amazon Spain or Germany
Have a look at this thread https://forum.xda-developers.com/k20-pro/help/9t-pro-8-256-varient-t3964710
It looks like there are some sellers now selling the official global version, as opposed to the European version. The global version comes with the 2 higher 8GB RAM variants that are missing from Europe. They also seem better priced than the European phones.
It might be worth waiting a while to see the feedback from people buying from the sites mentioned. The OP in that thread has a site that certainly looks like it's the genuine article that is listed.
As for the Indian model, it is physically missing the NFC hardware, so probably won't be a viable option for you

Rob that's what I'm on about... Those are k20s with a hacked "global" rom... Which means no widevine and no b20.... Precisely what I'm not after.

The store in first post in that thread appears to be selling a legitimate global Mi 9T Pro. It claims it has B20 and comes with official global MIUI factory installed. They say it is sent factory sealed, they haven't opened it to install anything. If you go to the global MIUI site you'll see the Mi 9T Pro advertised with up to 8/256GB, so that is a genuine option of the global Mi 9T Pro. I've not followed the thread fully since, so some of the later stores mentioned could well be selling K20 Pros.
yeah and there specs say it also has a microsd slot... which its very well known it doesnt... I wouldnt trust that specs list at all... so no its a rebadged k20 and no the official mi site doesnt list a mi 9tpro with 8gb and 256 flash... only the k20s do...

ok there is on Mi site in any case doesnt mean eglobal are being truthful with what theyre selling... Like i said. They list a microsd slot in the specs list. And ive been seeing tons of sellers on aliexpress and ebay selling k20s as 9Ts...

That eGlobal listing has changed slightly since I first looked. They've removed the text I saw that explicitly stated it had band 20, now it only lists it in the specs, though there they only list frequencies, not band numbers. So I'm more dubious than when I first saw it.
The Wanda mobile ad seems genuine too and they do seem to have a better reputation, but again I wouldn't want to be the first to try it. I'd wait until others have confirmed. Most of the big Ali sellers are OK, you just have to pay attention to what you're looking at. They may lists both names in the title, to make sure you hit the listing no matter what you search, but they are normally up front in the description as to what they are selling. You just need to remember the distinction between Global Version and Global ROM in the listings.
It's interesting that none of the Ali sellers are selling the 8/256GB global version of the Mi 9T Pro, it looks like they all have the EU versions, from what I can see from a quick search. So this does cast more doubt on what eGlobal and Wanda are actually selling.
Indeed this is why its been so confusing... Didnt help at all how Xiaomi fractured the distrobution and models... They really fooked this one up i think both in marketing and in handling and distribution.
I bought mine from ebay uk from a chinese seller it came sealed £370 128gb
Are you looking for 128gb, 8gb RAM model? There is some decent priced one on eBay UK for £350-400 which seem reasonable. Since buying it from Aliexpress is £310ish +£22 for delivery.

If you pay with PayPal and raise a case for fault advertising you'll be ok.
I'd message a seller to ask and confirm first and at least you've evidence
Before I bought mine I asked the guy to send me the IMEI number and checked it against the database everything checked out that database isn't wrong. Plus there's PayPal guarantee. Mine is what it says it is and I'm on B20 4g with 02.

Yes because sellers never lie do they... ive already seen tons of K20 pros with "global rom hacked flashes" being sold as Mi9t pros...
And to be honest paypals guarantee are never perfect... Ive had cases before when ive been missold things. And paypal sided with the seller. Even when I had unsumountable proof... Paypal could easily see it as "well you got a phone didnt you?"
Im sorry no random sellers on ebay particularly Chinese based ones are a safe bet.
But if there is a list of trusted sellers... or sellers who have been proven to send the correct phone... Why dont we make a list?
Sam why not list the sellers name here as well as the others who have found trust worthy sellers...?

A k20 pro with dodgy software would read as a mi9 t pro that is correct but it would definitely not have band 20 and a couple of other bands because in the china k20 models those bands are permanently locked and cant be unlocked through software. Plus the IMEI database would see the correct model as a k20 instead of a MI9t Pro. Just check the sellers reputation feedback etc and save a bit of money its not that big a deal not all chinese sellers are unscrupulous.

Planning to buy an A10 - how do I know if my country's version is rootable/moddable?

Due to my current phone breaking down, I'm now searching for the cheapest phone available that is able to run a custom ROM, has a fingerprint scanner, and most importantly, is sold at a major store in my country (Costa Rica). The vast majority of phones I can find are either Huawei, which is notorious for being practically unhackable and therefore are a no-go, or Samsung, which is a 50/50 chance. From what I've gathered, the Samsung devices whose chipsets are compatible with modding (Exynos) are typically not available officially in Latin America (which usually carries the Snapdragon version instead) and so the Exynos versions must be imported from Europe, which might take months of shipping and end up overpriced. Despite of everything, however, after checking in several stores in my country, the Galaxy A10 seems to be the only phone I could find that lands in the sweetspot for capability and price - if only there was a way to mod it, that is. My question is, is it possible to know beforehand which models of the A10 are rootable and/or moddable in any way, and which ones are not? (Remember, my current phone is broken and so I must jot the compatible models down in order to compare before paying)
No 30-day money back guarantee? No CoD's? 1-800...
So basically not the us version a102u (the u is the start of the country code in the device f/w # ie.A102USQS5ATA7)
BUT I don't know if your internet shopping listing will provide you with that before purchasing. They may just say yes to get the sale. (Don't ask the barber if you need a haircut)

buy an a20, the a10 is extremely useless for developers
unfortunately
usa variants are not unlockable. its simple. every other variantshould be bl unlockable

I'm super confused with Root/ROMS & different models

I bought a 7T Pro Mclaren 5G a while back off eBay, it was the T-Mobile 5G model and I live in Canada, so when I got it, I tried to unlock it and couldn't, after a long back and forth with the seller, I ended up finding out from T-Mobile that the phone was reported lost/stolen so I had to make an eBay claim, got my money back, and I was going to buy another one, but then I found the Nubia Red Magic 5G so I decided to wait it out until that released since on paper it has better specs for less, turns out it's an absolutely horrible phone and I'm sending it back because nothing works and you're locked out of changing anything.. but back on topic.
Once I get the refund from Nubia, I want to buy another OnePlus 7T Pro, I would prefer another Mclaren model and I like the way that one looks more, however, I'm even more confused now that I'm looking into root/roms for it.
Canada doesn't have 5G yet, so there's no reason to get a 5G phone other than future proofing, but honestly 4G has been fine and I have no issues, so not having 5G isn't a deal breaker, and I noticed on the normal 7T Pro forum here, there's lots of root and rom threads for the non Mclaren phone, but the confusing part now, is the Mclarens actually had like 5 different models that I know of, the HD1910 (china model). HD1911(india model). HD1913 (europe model), HD1920 (europe 5G), and HD1925 (t-mobile 5G).
From what I've gathered, the HD1920/1925 are "hotdogg", and the HD1910/1911/1913 are "hotdog" so I have a few questions, given that there's basically zero support for root/roms on hotdogg, I want to buy a hotdog variant, the non-5G model, but this forum doesn't say anything about the non-5G Mclaren model being included or not, so is the Mclaren HD1910/1913 model the same as the normal 7T Pro HD1910/1913?
I was looking up differences on the HD1910 vs HD1913 and the only thing I've found according to some other forums and sites is that the HD1910 is just cheaper with different firmware, but the global firmware can be flashed on the HD1910, essentially making an HD1913 for cheaper? However I have not been able to find the HD1910 for cheaper with shipping to Canada, the HD1913 seems to be the cheapest option for me.
I'm going to be buying an HD1913, but, the question still stands, is the normal HD1913 the same as the Mclaren HD1913? The only thing I found between them is the Mclaren has 12GB RAM, so would this cause issues with root/roms if I use root/roms designed for the normal 8GB RAM HD1913?
Any info is appreciated.

There are two McLaren editions afaik. The T-Mobile branded one and the international one. There was a serious issue with updating OOS firmwares when unlocking the bootloader on the T-Mobile devices.
I'm not sure if all custom ROMs are supported on the McLaren edition unfortunately. Also the back of the McLaren edition has far more text on the back as the pictures suggest. Look here: https://images-na.ssl-images-amazon.com/images/I/61VYQo5lEuL._SL1600_.jpg

The HD1920 is the Internation 5G, and the HD1925 is the T-Mobile 5G, but there are also the three other non-5G models, the HD1910/1911/1913, and I'm looking at an HD1913, so that's the non-5G international model, I just don't know if having 12GB of RAM is going to cause issues if I try to root it using tools for the normal 8GB RAM HD1913 and same goes for standard 8GB RAM HD1913 specific roms, can they run on the 12GB RAM HD1913?
I'm just confused because the "Mclaren model" (hd1920/1925) has it's own forum on here, but everything there only mentions the 5G models, nothing about the non-5g Mclaren hd1910/1911/1913, and over here in the non-5G section for the hd1910/1911/1913, there's nothing about the non-5G Mclaren models, so is this phone just compatible with the normal hd1913 stuff because they're the same model number, or does having an extra 4GB of RAM actually make it different resulting in root tools and roms not working? I'm so many confused lol
From what i know is that the International NON 5G McLaren (HD1913, i own this model and i am in the Netherlands) can be seen as a normal Oneplus 7T Pro... Oneplus customer service confirmed this for me.
The OnePlus support page has a download section for roms for all of their devices, but McLaren was not present in this list. They confirmed that i can flash the 7T Pro firmware and the hardware should handle itself, and the extras like the boot animation and themes are stored somewhere within the hardware so you'll keep those as well.
In case of rooting, i think you can use the tools for it as most probably magisk is used and a patched boot img will be made and flashed from your existing firmware. However i have mayor trust issues so i did it myself, used fastboot and adb commands to pull the boot.img and patch it in magisk manager and flash it via fastboot. Just make sure after each OTA to use magisk manager and flash magisk to the inactive slot so you'll keep root after reboot.

Okay awesome, this is exactly what I needed to know, I feel a lot more confident about buying the non-5G one now, thanks!
I'd rather wait out the whole situation about 5G and what it's dangers are for your health, as everyone is spitting out rumours about it (talking about the amount of radiation it sends out and that stuff, not the 5G causes corona bull****). Besides it will take some time for 5G coverage, just like it did with 4G so getting a device right with it in an area that is not covered yet is a bit waste of money... For me 4G is fast enough.
5G will most likely also cost you a lot more money each month.

Tbh 5G is a standard that includes different frequencies. If any concern can even be valid, it is millimeter wave as the other frequencies are already deployed.
And even in this spectrum it isn't harmful at all. Keep in mind we absorb slight space radiation all the time. Keeping a high wattage (I'm talking about 50W+ radiation close to your reproduction organs will do harm but that's a whole other kind of scale).
It is unfortunate that people often try to pinpoint the first thing they hear like Corona caused by 5G. It is important to remember how everything works and what is plausible and what not
Perhaps 5G isn't that harmful, i still keep my caution as i haven't had the time to inform myself fully yet... Just viewing articles that come by during lunch hours.
My first thoughts from hearing the news about people setting cellphone towers on fire because of 5G causing Corona... Wich deactivated and damaged the tower and the use of emergency numbers... What an absolute ********.

Yeah I'm not after the 5G at all, 4G has been more than fast enough for what I use a phone for. Plus, Canada doesn't even have 5G yet, that's why I'm looking for a non-5G OnePlus 7T Pro Mclaren, no point paying more for the 5G model and lose some functionality to root/roms for a service that isn't even provided yet.
As for the whole 5G thing, I think the main concern behind it was people not understanding that 5G ranges from like 24MHz to 300MHz, and it's about the frequency. So a RADIOwave goes up to I think around 1GHz, and MICROwave frequency is like 1GHz to around 300GHz. and some microwaves operate at around 2.45GHz, so already your standard wifi router in your house is already spitting out microwaves from 2.4GHz to 60GHz depending on what model you have and what frequencies you're using, the difference is the wattage, a router is basically nothing in comparison to an actual microwave oven that cooks food, those can go up to 700w for a normal household model, even more for industrial models.
So basically, we're already exposed to microwaves everyday, the wattage is just so low that it doesn't cause us any hard, and even if it would over a long period of time, our immune systems can rebuild faster than the radiation can cause harm, same as getting x-rays at the dentist, harmful, but our bodies are stronger. It doesn't cause any concern at all. Now there's known information that the US Military uses 95GHz with a custom panel that's attached to Hummers for crowd control to break up riots. The difference is that people think that the 95GHz range the military uses which is proven to produce enough microwave non-ionizing radiation to make rioters bodies uncomfortable, they over heat and get sick from heat stroke with too much exposure causing them to stop rioting, it's not life threatening and tests have shown no signs of skin cancer as a result, but it's aggressive enough to work.
The issue though, is that when people see 5G going from 24GHz to 300GHz and the military uses 95GHz for crowd control, people think that if 5G uses those higher frequencies it's capable of, it's going to cook everyone like a legit microwave oven. The only difference here is that ONE of those Hummers produces up to 2.5MEGAWATTS for a 2 second burst at full power using two diesel engine generators. So far all of the 5G towers that are being burned down, they don't have a diesel power plant at every tower, and each tower drawing power loads like that would overload the entire grid. So from everything I found when I was looking into why people are burning down towers is they just don't understand how low the wattage is on a 5G tower and there's people hyping up these hummers saying that 5G will cause you to die and Covid-19 is just a government cover up and it's actually 5G and all this other nonsense, but in reality, 5G is completely safe, if someone DID hook one up to a 2.5Mw source.. we might be in trouble lol
Now I'm not saying it's SAFE, like, end all game. There were studies in Germany about just cell phone towers in general, they did a test with like 1000 people in a 400m radius of cell phone towers and the people closer to the towers were 50% more likely to get cancer from testing, and 10% observed cancer right at the towers, but this is also over the span of a 10 year test. So, ALL cell phone towers cause cancer, it's just a matter of how close you live to one and how long you've lived there, and even then, you have a 90% chance of not getting cancer, so the risks are still low. Not comforting, but low enough that I wouldn't start losing sleep over.
Here in The Netherlands we don't have 5G either, but it is planned for this summer (which is cancelled this year). There are phones already out with the specs ready... And even if it was already supported, i am not willing to pay 10 to 20 euros a month more for the speed i am not gonna use.
But does Canada only have the 5G variant in the stores? Or is the phone not available at all?
As far as i knew the concern here was that it would cause cancer or certain health issues in the long term, as it would need more transmitters/towers to cover the area for certain frequencies. I never believed in the first place it would be extremely harmful. What i do know is the closer you live to one off the towers, the more chance you get of developing cancer and a few other things. Besides, i have a high end router in my bedroom and i am not dead yet.... Maybe i should move closer to a tower so it would go quicker....
Governments do stupid stuff... but i believe they would not allow a network to be installed that would be that dangerous, or keep installed if things do turn for the worse.
I also believe that this is going too off topic that eventually a mod will warn us
