Got the phone delivered to the UK today (Grey Import from HK).
All is good and I'm pleased to see EE wifi calling supported, however for some unknown reason EE Wi-Fi Calling takes up a lot of the Status Bar, meaning no notification icons will fit.
I've tried System UI tuner, but no option to turn it off. Any ideas / suggestions?
Thanks!
Found the option to switch this off - in display settings for some unknown reason. Hope this may help someone else

Has anyone found out how to disable the WiFi available notification when you aren't connected to a network?
My suggestion is to shut off WiFi when you're not in range. HTC has widgets that make it quick & easy. And you'll save battery.

thanks for that suggestion but that is not an option for me.
Go to your Settings ==> wireless and networks ==> wifi settings ==> notify me (uncheck that box)
Did that
Sent from HTC Rezound using Tapatalk.
Mine has always been unchecked but regardless continues to notify me when wifi is turned on.
mine is also unchecked and the notifications still pop-up
any other suggestions?
Only ROM's I've found this to be possible on were the Sense-less ones. Otherwise, you're going to have to live with that. Same thing goes for the SMS sent messages request. It's annoying, but it is what it is.
Are we talking about the little notification in the notification bar or the full screen notification. Unchecking that box will stop the full screen notification but the little WiFi icon will still pop up in the corner. If that bothers you you should lay off the caffeine.
anyone found a way around this issue. there is bound to be away to enable the normal notifcation check box
I, too, have found this to be very annoying!

do any custom roms have the old option to disable wifi available.
Yep both Nils and Joelz BAMF you can turn off this notification. I just did it today as a matter of fact.
does anyone know how they enabled in their custom roms
Hi!
My problem is that my phone says my mobile data is turned on even though it isn't.
I noticed this problem a few days after updating to Oreo.
Anyone with a similar problem or a solution?
What's your mcc and mnc simcard's number ?
They are shown in apn settings.
Can you try with another carrier ?
Just checked, works as intended her. Telenor.
Is it perhaps linked to location services? Can you actually use data?
I can use my mobile data
Do you have developer options turned on? Chech in there. There is a setting to keep mobile data active.

Nope, it is not turned on.
Please Share:

- a picture showing data switch disabled with a 4g on the status bar
Mcc: 226

But please tell me how am I supposed to take those pictures for you?
EDIT: Sorry, realised my mistake.
The correct pic:
STRANGE
Is there any 2g or 3g available for your sim to connect to where you are ?
If not, maybe you are on voLTE (with volte/HD icon disabled by default) ?
If yes, try to connect to 3g or 2g, is there a 3g or 2g in status bar then ?
Its strange how your switchs on pic stay blue when off.
What's your firmware region and version ?

When my mobile data is on, it tends to switch to 3G, and it displays it.
I don't think that my sim supports voLTE.
I'm on B360 and I've got the EU version.
Ok, so when your data is 'off' and 4g is shown on status bar :
What's your kind of network shown in Settings / About phone / State / Network / Sim1 / Kind of data network ?

4G
Ok so, to resume your problem ;
- When data & data roaming switchs are off, they seemed to stay activated on settings screen and phone still displays 4G on status bar and network type screen ?
- When data & data roaming switchs are on, phone displays 4G and sometimes 3G/H+ on status bar and network types ?
Your screenshot looks taken from nougat and not from oreo ; Color of switchs seems dark blue and not cyan like on default emui8.0.
Did you apply some theme or did some mod ?
Are you sure you are on STF-L09C432B360 ?
Did you get it from C432B183 with official ota ?
From a rebrand ?
At the bottom of network settings you took on screenshot there is an advanced option with a data always on switch which are not the same the one in developers settings ; Did you try to switch it off ?

It's a feature of EMUI which is normally hidden, you can disable it with the app "EMUI Tweaker" on Play store and the setting "Displaying the network type" and then reboot

Thank you very much! The thing had no value, set it to 0 and rebooted.
Great to hear a solution to your problem.
Now this icon problem is solved, could you tell me.:
Does your data and roaming switchs still are blue when off ?

Hello guys,
I'm on the verge of buying this phone with the global ROM and before buying it I would like to know if the notifications on this phone work properly. Can anyone confirm this? I don't want a smartphone where the notifications not work or partly work. Anyone with this phone in Europe that can tell me more about the Europe edition?

I assume Europe version is international global version, then yes all notification is work, but it won't keep notified you, once notified and it will don't have any indicator in top status bar, you need to pull down to check but they do have a dot indicator in the icon if they is any pending notification at notification area.
The notification may not coming in if you let the default on of "Smart Power Consumption Protection", this once turn off then no issue. You can do custom Power Saver after turning this off with 3 more options as "Allow running in the background", "Prohibited running in the background" and also " Intelligent control". Intelligent control is default setting, this feature I find it useful as for example I never need notification from Facebook and Facebook is sucking battery, thus I can put it under "Prohibited running in the background".

So you are saying all notifications works but sometimes it won't notify you untill you look at the notification bar slider. Also another question. The Europe versions doesn't have the navigation gestures but can you actually hide the on-screen buttons so I could use pie controll and keep having a full screen.

I mean the notification work but it won't show icon on top, you need to slide down to see. They only show a dot in apps.
Mine is not europe version, I from Malaysia and mine is Malaysia version and navigation gestures is there and I am using it. Sorry I cannot help you on this.

Just another question. Does your Find X support L1 or L3 on YouTube and Netflix?

Hi Guys,
Got the phone today. Anyone got wifi calling working?
Ordered the phone from Amazon germany. I'm on EE in the UK. Not getting any options under call settings.
Thanks
VOLte seems to be available on my device (Belgian LG G8X)
I can't say if it works though...
Where is the option for that? Love the phone. Getting a really good battery life. But gonna have to send it back as no wifi calling.
From the Home screen, tap the Phone icon Phone app icon (lower-left).
From the Dial or Recent tab, tap the Menu icon Menu icon (upper-right).
Navigate: Call settings > Wi-Fi Calling.
Tap the Wi-Fi Calling switch to turn on Switch on or off Switch off.
Note If turning Wi-Fi Calling off, tap Turn off Wi-Fi Calling when prompted.
Note If activating Wi-Fi Calling for the first time:

Hi,
I am unable to find these settings. Can you please share a screenshot.
Got it in my update today
I have LG G8X (India) and i got voWiFi option in an update just today (24th March). Check for updates or wait for updates of the option is not already available.
Hello,
I don't know if this is a bug, a "feature" or just my device but would anyone be able to check their "Call & Text on other devices" Quick Panel icon to see if it toggles the feature on or off and let me know? Mine takes me to the settings. I used to have it enabled all the time on my phone and I would toggle it on the tablet as required. That way I get to enable it only when I need to use it on the tablet.
Since migrating to my S23 U from my S22 U and updating my tablet to One UI 5.1, the option now takes me to the settings page instead of simply toggling the feature. This is the case on both the phone and the tablet (S8 +) so I think it's either a bug or a "feature"
Thanks in advance
I don't have a S23u, but a S22u and tab s8 ultra...my s22u was setup with call & text with the tabs s8ultra. worked like a charm. My s22u screen broke and sent in for repairs. I used an old s9+ lying around. For some reason it asked me to change to s9+ for call & text. I ignored the pop up...when I got my s22u back call & text was disabled. When opening call & text I had to re-register/configure my s22u for call & text as it automatically changed it to my s9+, although it never worked on s9+. After changing settings it worked on s22u and tab s8u. re-register/configure call & text

Yes, the same. The icon is not activated (disabled) although the function itself is enabled. When pressed, it jumps to the Settings of this function, where Calls on other devices and Messages on other devices are now separated. In Calls, my GW5Pro watch and in Messages - empty!
Google messages has this bug that keeps any notice below sms screen flickering forever.
Looks like they modified the Quick Panel icon to take you to the settings so that you can toggle individual options i.e. call and/or text on other devices. I can see how that could be useful but I really miss the ability to simply keep the feature "on" on the phone and toggle it on/off on the tablet as required.
I would have preferred two icons one to toggle calls and one to toggle texts if they wanted to give users the option instead of the extra steps especially since it's called the Quick Panel for a reason lol
Thanks for looking guys. I really appreciate it
