Power Saving Mode Sets Automatically - Samsung Galaxy S21 Questions

This is driving me crazy but every once in a while power-saving mode turns on automatically. Does anyone know of a setting or anything that may do this?
I checked under automation and Adaptive power saving is turned off.

When does it happen in terms of battery charge state?
Try clearing system cache.

I don't know, it seems random but I just set up a task in Tasker so when it switches to change it back. This has been going on forever now.

If it kicks in at 20% battery left it's in a battery conservation mode.
Otherwise clear system cache and Device Care app data. Make sure it's not a 3rd party app causing it.
If it persists, factory reset. If still there it's either a firmware or hardware issue.
If a workaround works like not discharging past 20%, use that rather than go nuts.
Or if you can still return the phone, do so. Lots of issues with this model.

I personally dislike SuperPower, as it's still in BETA phase. However, some decent features are to turn off mobile data (internet is pretty much turned off, however you can still make and receive calls/texts).
Switching to 2G/3G is good, but if you turn your phone on and off in quick succession, like accidentally letting it sleep, this could become a bother.
My advice is don't use it, though, and just turn off things like Auto Sync and Freeze unused system apps.

actually, it lets you decide a delay time when you put your phone on sleep to not cause that problem.

I like SuperPower, even though it is in beta stage. I use nero v3 w/voodoo. Prior to having voodoo, I experienced significant lag time when waking the device while it was switching 3g/edge or wifi back on. Now with voodoo I have no lag at all really and It saves a lot of battery life! bobbbb has a good point though, By turning off auto sync and freezing some apps. That will help out. There again, Its all personal preference and what YOU are trying to acheive with your device. Super quick with not so great battery life. Or a modestly quick device with great battery life. To each his own? Try playing with the settings and monitor for any changes. Also recondition your battery. Good luck!
just out of curiosity what are the settings you guys are using? so far i have 2g/3g switching and max 400mhz in sleep state with 30 second delay, anyone try the force install sidekick?
*edit* just read looks like sidekick is to be used on aosp roms

Market Needs Background Data to be Enabled?

So I updated the market to the newest version and occasionally when I open the market it tells me I have to have background data enabled. Problem is I have background data enabled. I can open the browser and everything else works but when I try to open the market and keep getting this error.
Is this affecting anybody else? Anyone have a solution for this? Thanks.
Rebooting the phone seems to fix the problem but it's real annoying to have to do that.
I have the same issue from time to time, Using task manager to force close market usually fixes the issue
I went back to the original market.
The new one wouldn't load last nite and is not all that much better for the hassle.
I'll wait until they get it worked out.
I noticed when the low battery power saver kicks in it disables the background data. Whenever you pull up the market with a low battery, you’ll get this warning. A quick enable cures the issue.
You can adjust the power saver behavior or disable the feature entirely.

Well this happened to me, except that the market still says background data needs to be enabled even after I've enabled it. I even installed 2 apps from the market in my desktop browser.
Killing the market fixed it though. Seems like the market app just got stuck thinking it was down and didn't refresh or try again.
Aside from using a task manager and rebooting my solution to this is just go to Settings -> Manage applications -> market -> Clear Data
it seems to work hope it helps

[Q] Battery and bootup problem

Something strange happened to my phone. One night I installed an app that can turn the phone into sleep mode instead of pressing the button at the uppermost right of it. I still have around 70+% battery by that time. The next morning, I was surprised that my battery is already out. I charge it but was stuck at the cyanogen logo. I removed the battery and tried to open it, this time the animation boot happened twice before finishing. I removed the app but noticed that my battery begun draining much faster than before. Just letting it on idle state will reduce it to 40% in 9 hours. The bootup problem is also present every time I boot the phone - it will get stuck at first at the logo, remove the battery, turn it on again where the animation will happen twice before the phone become usable.
Checking the phone usage, mobile standby and phone idle have the largest usage. I read some threads mentioning something about wakelock or something that prevent the phone from going to sleep. Checking the Spare parts battery history, only two things are present - Running (100%) and Screeon on (5.1%).
Any help or tips to know the real problem? Thanks

this will happen when install every crappy tweak **** - i'm not understand why users have to install extra apps for buttons
to help you something:
wipe your system, not the data - only if it doesnt work after wiping the caches.
than try to boot ... if its doesnt nrmal booting, reinstall the rom and do a full wipe. sometimes apps installing libraries in system.
^
I was thinking of reducing the usage of the hard button so I used it. Will resintallation of the ROM afefct my partition? I have a nandbackup before this problem happened, but I still do not have the partition by that time.
And how do you do it by the way? Just flash again the ROM? Thanks
Edit: Wiping the cache seemed to help. It doesn't stuck at the logo, but the animation still happens twice instead of once. Gonna observe the battery usage. Thanks.
100% running, that means your phone is not in sleep, but only with LCD off. Grab betterbatterystats([email protected]) and check your wakelocks.

Based on the betterbatterystats, the gpslocationprovider is the culprit. But my gps apps are off and are not running any services. Any idea how can I stop it?

Off GPS ,on only when needed

I copid a gpa.conf somehere in this forum. I replaced it with the originial and I'm currently observing whether it will return to normal. My gps apps are off, and both wireless and gps sattelites are disabled on my location & security tabs.
I'm planning on doing a restore to at least remove the boot up problem. But my last nandbackup was still before I partitioned my sd card and flashed dark tremor, and configre a2sdgui. If I do the nandrestore, do I have to disable or remove dark tremor and a2sdgui, or remove the partition of my card? Thanks

I has the same gps wakelock even disabling GPS- reboot and the thing is gone
I changed it, but my phone still doesn't sleep. Although this time, the gpslocationprovider is no longer shown with the betterbatterystats. It just states that my phone is awake for around 47 minutes but my screen is just on for around 4 minutes. I've already rebooted several times and wipe the cache but its still like this. Still trying to find other ways.

Data keeps turning off

Hi all,
I'm facing an interesting predicament. Lately I've noticed that my mobile data is turning off by itself. Initially I thought it was JuiceDefender throwing a wobbly, but then I noticed that its event log was full of comments like "Mobile data is back under JD control" and something about reloading a profile. By watching the notification in the drop down menu I noticed that it was perpetually restarting itself.
I uninstalled it, and tried another app called 2x Battery and the same thing was happening. The data toggle in the setting menu of MIUI was greyed out to show data had been turned off, and 2x Battery stated that data had been toggled by the user.
It seems to be that a third party app is deactivating mobile data. Is there any app out there that can log when an app deactivates data, so I can find out the culprit? Has anyone else experienced this kind of issue before? Any other ideas/suggestions?
Any help appreciated

i would suggest u to safe ure stuff and make a hardreset if the problems is still there afterwards reflash your rom
Thanks jiffer1991.
Sorry, I should have pointed out that I had already performed a factory reset/wipe plus Dalvik cache wipe and a fresh install of MIUI and it didn't seem to make a difference.
I am currently on my second factory reset and install of MIUI, this time without installing JuiceDefender at all. I am now seeing if the problem persists without JD. If it doesn't I may try using a Tasker profile to emulate JD's data controls. So far, things seem promising as there has been no issues so far. I'll keep this post updated, in case anyone else is having the same experience.

oh ure using miui rom
i heard of that error when iam remembering right...
have a look at this

Ok, so the saga continues.
I have created a basic Tasker profile to turn off my mobile data 5 minutes after the screen is turned off, and turn it on again when the screen is turned on It all seemed to be working fine until just now when I turned my screen on, data started as normal, I opened up my browser and started surfing only to be met with "No internet connection". I checked and lo and behold, the data has turned itself back off again.
@jiffer1991 - I've already tried a reinstall of MIUI, plus the cache wipes, to no effect.
I'm starting to run out of ideas here! Any thoughts anyone?

whats about this they found another solution
http://miuiandroid.com/community/th...working-about-phone-status-not-working.17106/
Try setting/Battry and perfomance/Mange app baatry usage
Under power saving mode option
Off >Restrict background activity.
I did some Googling and confirmed that every time I turn on the Mobile Hotspot it immediately deactivates the Data Saver. So now the question is whether there is an app that can automatically turn the Data Saver back on onnce the hotspot is turned off?
I also encountered that problem in Redmi Y2 even after hard reset...
I don't know what to do...
Pls help me out...

My YP-G70 is acting very weird

I have the US version and it has been acting up. Web pages would randomly freeze and stop loading or bring me back to the home screen. What weirds me out the most is that I have always had my wifi setting to off when screen off but I noticed that my battery dropped very quickly today from fully charged this morning and found that it somehow got changed to wifi never off.
Could I have somehow gotten a virus? How can I check? I am running the stock ROM.
Thanks
This is not my forte, but sit tight and be assured that someone who knows more on this issue will answer your question.
Maybe a factory reset would fix it?
Sent from my Nexus 7 using XDA Premium HD app
Take a deep breath, then check what apps are draining your battery the most. More likely than not it's just a poorly coded app that's the culprate.
Settings -> About Device -> Battery Use
Things should typically be pretty low (Except the display), but exact percentages will vary depending on what you've been using lately. If you want a nice control, restart you Player, then leave it alone overnight. If something shows up pretty high, it's probably your troublesome app.
I attached some screenshots of my current useage. Mind you, I haven't really been using my player much this morning, so the percentages might be lower than normal

Does the factory reset erase everything (ie. pics, documents, apks) or does it just get rid of settings but leave my files untouched?
Is there anything else I could try before a reset?
I can't remember, but at the very least a factory reset will kill your apps. I want to say there is an option to keep files, but you'll want to back it up before you try that.
My recommendation really is to restart you player tonight, leave it on, and check battery usage in the morning.
You will lose all your data. However you could root and do a Titanium Backup, then restore after reset. You can always unroot.

My concern is not the battery usage but the fact that it was acting strange, especially my wifi sleep policy setting changed to "Never." I have always had it set to "When screen turns off." I am just worried that my security has been compromised.

Something new I just noticed. Seems like my Player is now trying to get a GPS lock despite me not having any program that is using the GPS. I am probably going to try the factory reset first before flashing to another ROM just because I am new to it and am a bit apprehensive.
But at this point I am just really curious as to what is going on. Has anyone ever heard of these issues of the player changing the wifi policy and trying to get a GPS lock?
Should I be worried if someone is trying to track me down?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=33058335
I've got the GPS locking issue. I have it at least since my factory reset, maybe since I got the player. My best guess is that it's Google's location services trying to establish where you are. I get rid of it (and keep it from draining the battery) by firing up a GPS test app and closing the app.
No advice on the other issues though.
brought ubprine
Take it easy, everything will be OK.
download the custom rom,it already comes with a custom kernel.
DO A BACKUP just in case.
you can apply with odin in tar form or zip on external sdmicro.
make sure you get the right ROM(international hard home button or capacitive buttons on US).
---------- Post added at 09:14 PM ---------- Previous post was at 08:58 PM ----------
First befor applying rom
don't forget to BACKUP.
wipe data/factory reset.
wipe cache partion.
advanced.
wipe dalvik cache.
do each 2 time just in case.
