Hi,
I just got a Mediapad M5.
In Thailand, AppTwin allows only LINE app.
I heard that outside China, Huawei enable Facebook and WhatApp, while in China, Vchat something.
I do not understand what the problem Huawei face in enabling/disabling certain apps.
Why cannot Huawei let the user choose one or two apps in AppTwin by himself/herself?
Is there a way to work around this limitation?
I searched and found one guide but it does not work any more with new firmware (by using adb command).
The way that Huawei choose to enble certain apps in certain regions means that the app can be chosen and changed.
Could someone please give me a guide how to?
Thank you.

I find that Huawei's own AppTwin is very limited, it will not even clone FBM Lite.
I tried to install Parallel Space and it does not work with my M5 (some people seem to work).
I tried App Cloner instead and it works.
So my suggestion is if you have no luck with Huawei AppTwin, try another app instead.
Hey all.,
Recently I bought a rm7 pro and debloated many packages.
After a while I installed virusTotal and checked for system apps.
I found screen recorder and system UI to be infested by a malware, as stated by the Sangfor AV engine.
Moreover even some google packages were flagged as malware.
But when I checked the same package on miui,it wasn't shown as a malware.
Is realme even injecting on google packages??!!
Does anyone use modded apps, e.g. Instander & Aeroinsta, that try to block ads? I've been using they in my mobile devices (Samsung J7 & Xiaomi Mi Pad) and they work as intended. But they don't seem to work in the A52s. The ads are still there. I wonder if anyone knows if the A52s has a way of bypassing checks for these ads, or if I need to disable anything.
SOLVED: It's a problem with Android 11.
Hi,
I bought a Mi Pad 5 Pro 5G and I think I can see how much I hurried up. There is no Global version. In CN ROM only English and I would prefer Polish.
What's happening? Does any of you know if Xiaomi has any plans to do something with this model?
Do I have any system alternative? Maybe a pure android ... I have not found anything on the internet for this model to be uploaded. Please help!
I'm a bit broken
(sorry for my bad english)
You can find a couple of threads about GSIs on the Pad 5 (non Pro) forum. People (incl myself) have had some success in installing some GSIs on the Pro model too. You can't use the Xiaomi pen on a GSI (or custom ROM I think), however, which is a massive downside to some people.
Yes I think the software development for this tablet is really slow. It's no-one's fault. I used to own Mi Pad 4 and they had a huge range of custom ROMs available. I optimistically assumed it would be the same for Pad 5. I was so wrong... If the stock ROM (MIUI) was half decent, we wouldn't need volunteer developers. Such a shame.
If I had read more about how bad it is with the Pro version - I would buy something from the competition, such as Samsung. A bit of money wasted because I have equipment with potential, but soft kills it. I hope that something will move with the next android, for example 13. Shame for Xiaomi for treating customers in such a way. I do not understand the lack of a Global version. I bought a device from China, paying all taxes. Feels like cheated.

Without sounding like an asshole. If you did a little research on this forum or even google searched about the pad 5 pro before buying it, you would have avoided buying a device not suitable for you.
It was well documented that the Pro version was available only in China and didn't support all languages.
No need to feel cheated, you just failed to research the specifications.
As far as development for this device, I would contact people working on Poco F4 roms. It's basically a pad 5 pro with a small screen. I'm sure they could cook something up.

Thanks for the info. I will look for. Regards.
Is there any way to upload the Polish language to the Chinese firmware on the CN of the Mi Pad 5 Pro 5G? Currently, there is only Chinese and English and the Global version is not available and probably will not be.
Are Google services on Chinese ROM working properly?

Everything works with google. Just have to set the permissions correctly for Google apps.
Chrome translates perfectly and even assistant works in different spoken languages.
Download Gboard keyboard and everything will work.

Make sure you set google to always allow otherwise the MIUI privacy protection will block all sorts of settings and add ons. It returns blank messages to google so you can't sign in.
This has frustrated a lot of users.
You can try an app called MoreLocale 2 (available on Google Play Store or GitHub) to use a language other than the specified ones on the MIUI Chinese ROM. It changes the locale setting. I can't remember if your device needs to be rooted or not. I haven't tried myself, but I have read a few people saying they could get Japanese available on some (but not all) apps and system menus. Polish is probably available too, but you'd better check. You need to execute some adb command to get it work.
GitHub - c-lis/morelocale: This application will change system locale and country setting.

First of all, the device does not need to be rooted. The disadvantage of this solution is that you have to set the language again after every restart. But I found another solution:
It is even better than MoreLocal2 if you change the language in the Android language menu. The so called AOSP Dashboard is accessible via Apps like "Activity Launcher" or "MIUI Downloader" (Both on Playstore, I suggest Activity Launcher).
For Activity Launcher: Open app and search for "SystemDashboard", then open "com.android.settings.Settings$SystemDashboardActivity"
This way you get the same result as with MoreLocal, but 1. you don't have to set something after every restart, 2. you don't have an unnecessary app because you can uninstall it and 3. you don't have to assign authorizations, since everything runs in system dialogs.
* I use my Mi Pad 5 Pro with this solution.
** With "same result" I mean a mixture of English and target language. MIUI apps / system apps mostly but not always remain in English. Everything else should be in the target language if the apps support it.

Play market Through the virtual space (Gbox, Gspace)
NFC there is a payment, in Russia we use our program "Peace Pay"
Chinese programs are removed through the usual settings, several non-removable ones can be disabled by adb
