1) If fingerprint unlock doesn't work well, change the FOD pressed color (Settings > Extensions >System > Customization >Fingerprint pressed color). Green works really well for me and is really fast. Check what works for you the best.
2) Pocket detection doesn't work well, as in most other ROMs.

Will look into this in the upcoming build. September source will be released soon. Will try to fix in that build.
I would love to try this rom, but can someone please answer these questions?
1. How is the battery life? SOT?
2. I faced charging issues with other roms, where charging will stop and start again every few seconds, is anyone facing that?
3. Will safety net and google play certification work?
4. How are the thermals?

You can check the screen on time and the apps used. Battery life is pretty good. I've tested the ROM before release for few days. No problems with charging. Safety Net works and Widevine L1 too. Google certification works as well. If you want to game, I'd suggest you to flash Gulch Kernel. The current kernel is for good battery life. Thermals are pretty average. Will try to update those in upcoming builds. Experience on the rom is very smooth.
Thanks for the quick reply.
The battery life looks excellent. Thanks for creating/maintaining this ROM.
I'll play around with this and give you more feedback.
Added latest completely working OOS Camera and Gallery.
Does this mean 4k60 works without crashing? I am currently using Greatness Gcam for oneplus 8.
Battery Tweaks under customization
Does this let's you change governers? battery saver/balanced/performance?

Everything in the OOS camera works perfectly as on oxygen os. Even 4k60.
And I'm attaching the battery tweaks screenshots. You can check it out.
Thanks again for the quick reply.
It might be a good idea to highlight the above answers in the first post, since these are the faqs anyone will have who are looking for a new rom.
Sorry for so many questions, but i have been facing these issues with other roms and it's good to see that this rom checks allmost all the checkboxes.
Final question, how is the 5Ghz wifi range? Did you face any issues with that?
Can't wait to try the rom.

I can't really answer that question. I don't have a 5Ghz Wi-Fi router. But tired to connect with hotspot from other phone using 5Ghz and it seems to work fine. Again I can't be sure about it.
I would love to tryout this awesome rom from the screenshots and all the positive feedbacks. I have two questions regarding this rom. First will the fingerprint registration and unlocking work as fast as OOS10?. I tried different custom roms they had this of unlocking where no matter in what position I put my finger on the sensor it just won't unlock. Second although I was able to have L1 on Pixel experience also, and DRM and Netflix showed L1, I wasn't able to play HD in neither Prime nor Netflix. Is this present here?. Awaiting your reply on these issues.

The fingerprint is really fast. I've mentioned above too "If fingerprint unlock doesn't work well, change the FOD pressed color (Settings > Extensions >System > Customization >Fingerprint pressed color). Green works really well for me and is really fast. Check which color works for you the best."
For L1 checkout new build and updated installation instructions.

Thank you for such a fast response! Really appreciate it. Will definitely try it the first thing in morning and will give my review on it.
Hi, I installed your rom, but sadly I did not get widevine L1.
I was on 11.0.3.1 and I checked I had L1 after unlocking bootloader also, but after I booted in this rom, I got L3.
I used msm tool to go back to android 10 and upgraded to 11 using system update.
Am I missing anything?

You probably did not flash OOS 11 on both the slots properly. Flash it on both the slots properly and then clean flash AEX over that using the given boot image. I have L1. You can check it out.
Are the below steps correct to flash oos on both slots?
1. Go back to android 10 using MSM tool.
2. Unlock bootloader.
3. Download oos 11 complete zip using oxygen updater.
4. Use TWRP to flash zip twice (slot will change the second time)
5. Then proceed with installation?

Yeah try that or you can even extract the payload.bin and manually flash to both slots using fastboot. You can find instructions on xda for that. I'll try to include copy partitions zip in the next built so that people don't mess up the installation.

The Rom is really Awesome, buttery smooth with all the customisations one could need. There's a problem however. I am attaching the ScreenShot of the DRM info. I have L1, Netflix too shows L1. In HDR type it shows not supported, whereas on OOS it did. I am able to play Full HD on Netflix but not on Prime. I have set the Quality to Best but still it plays at 480p. Any fixes for this?
Also one thing I noticed was Hardware Acceleration is not available in prime. I don't know if it's related but just an observation

Hum thats a nice rom for a nice device; oh wait, my device is great, yours is mini lololol
congratz bro =)
I'll ask here the same here if you don't mind, as i won't be able to test this either soon myself... cann someone using this confirm if:
1. left/right cursor arrows are immediately shown when using keyboard (think so as it is a cm feature but in carbon for example you have to press a button first to see them)
2. is it possible to always show volume panel expanded
3. is it possible to assign long-press action to nav bar buttons to show volume panel without using hw volume buttons
4. can date be shown is status bar
finally recovery included in the rom is still cm one right? so twrp image should be flashed apart with rashr?
tia
Finally! SlimRom for our Z3C! Yes!
BTW: Did anyone managed to make Sony Camera app for CM based ROMs? Stock camera (Android camera) is horrible. Too much noise.... (yup, i lost my DRM keys and im forced to stay with stock FW with DRM mod)
EDIT: "Error executing binary in zip" FAILED.
Flashing via TWRP.
@moly82
1, as far as i recall, cursor keys are not shown immediately. there is an option to enable volume keys cursor control ( tbh i deleted the inbuilt android keyboard and use super swiftkey by djdarknight).
2. no. not at the moment but as stated in OP "SlimLP is currently in alpha/beta stage, some settings are already in place, much is still missing and it will come with time" so it may be a feature that's included at a later date.
3. you can assign long press on nav buttons to perform numerous tasks, unfortunately not the task you request.
4. Yes date can be shown in status bar.
and yes recovery is Cm, however i recommend flashing fotatwrp by kyasu https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=95916177934529111 apologies i assumed most people with unlocked bootloader would have flashed this by now.
cheers
MOTHER****ING YES!!
Been waiting for this almost a year already (since I bought the phone from day one!!)
@Carach_CZ
Ive flashed this rom 5 times or more and never experienced any issue. if your still having problems flash the fotatwrp from here https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=95916177934529111 via fastboot or flash using the app "Rashr" from playstore
cheers

same here! the long-awaited ROM finally arrives!! awesome! thanx @AnGrY sCoTsMaN! will report if any bug/s found(IF there's any!)!
cheers!
@AnGrY sCoTsMaN
Thanks for your hard work!
I have a question before flashing - how is this ROM doing in terms of battery life? Also, does the Ambient Display feature work on our Z3c?
Thanks in advance!!
Awesome, working great so far. Thanks so much.
WiFi disconnects quite a bit - had the same problem with cm, but cm seemed worse than this. This is so much better so far.
Vibration sensitivity control is missing, I understand this is alpha, so that feature is probably coming in the future - but just thought I'll bring it up.
Cast button on quick settings doesn't work, but then it never worked with any other rom on this phone anyways.
The compass in quick settings doesn't work, is there a way to calibrate that? Looks like another cm issue anyways.
None of the above is suppose to be feature request - just hoping to help u make this awesome rom better.
Thanks again - my new daily driver.
My first boot is taking about 10 minutes now, is that normal?
Cheers.
@flintfirewalker cheers for the feedback. Yeah some features we usually expect from slim are still missing but I imagine slim will implement them soon enough. I only noticed the WiFi dropouts last night myself but will look to see if there is a fix. As for the compass, it appears to work in my quick settings, whether it's calibrated correctly is a different story.... I'm sure there will be an app to help calibrate it. I will stay on the look out for update and fixes. On the plus side... The dedicated camera button now launches the camera lol
Sent from my Xperia Z3C using Tapatalk
Hey you're right, the camera button launches the camera... Sweet. Been missing that feature since I dumped stock. The button doesn't take pictures or focus at the moment, but very promising so far. I'll be checking this forum frequently for updates.
Some bugs I've encountered:
1) when activated in power menu, airplane mode cant be turned off the same way (the button is "stuck"?), I have to turn it off from phone settings
2) when connected to the magnetic charger, celullar coverage gets destroyed and you cant get a signal until reboot
3) changing dpi causes play store to not display modal messages (like the one that shows app permissions) and recovery to fail (its not readable at all)
4) some apps fail to be updated, for example dashclock, need to uninstall completely from rom and reinstall from play store
5) battery life is awful (or maybe i´ve been to comfortable with stock amazing batt life)
6) screen rotation acts up (even though is disabled, desktop and app drawer still rotate), maybe is a launcher issue
7) NOISY camera (but thats to be expected)
All in all, a GREAT first release. Thank you so much for the time invested and for the port, I hope you keep updating and maybe become a device mantainer
Some requests:
1) slimsizer, I use it a lot (i like my rom to be MINIMAL)
2) a good kernel recommendation (battery life on this one is just sad)
On another note, do any of you have any apps broken since lollipop? Some of my favorite games dont seem to work (might and magic , platinum solitaire, bejewled are some of them)
I´ll keep testing today and report back any bugs
@daha2002 I would check our setup!
1, nope,working fine for me.
2, cant confirm as I'm at work right now.
3, nope,working fine here
4, hmm OK I'll look into it
5, fair play battery life not as good as stock, but you've not been running the rom long enough for a true evaluation of that.
6, nope, works fine here
7, yep

sorry for off topic question, but why haven't you published validus builds for z3c?:silly:
I wouldn't call the battery terrible. Yes , it's worse than stock, but it's pretty good for custom rom.
I'm guessing once the WiFi disconnecting problem goes away and maybe with another good kernel in tow, the rom battery will be as good as the stock.

Notes
I've been using this on my T585 since yesterday and I have to say it's amazing!
Nice and smooth, tons of options and the home button wake works out of the box, woohoo :victory:
It does have sysserv, so Substratum themes don't need a reboot to get applied. My version did not have the Substratum key added, not sure if this final version does. I'll post the key apk once I find out if it needs to be installed seperately :good:
It's a grrrrrrrreat rom ... try it if you have the time
Screenshots are with Flare Substratum Theme btw
Edit: So I talked to @srgrusso and the key is NOT included. I've added it to my post now - if you want to use Substratum simply install the app and then the attached Substratum Key 1.0.apk. Then you can build + install your overlays and head to the Manager tab, select them and enable. No more reboots
Substratum key removed since it's now included in the rom :good:
How does it compare to stock or rr remix? Stock ROM is smooth as butter. I tried rr remix but some games I play ran poorly on it so I went back to stock and the performance was drastically different.

I can't tell how well it runs games since I've only played PUBG on mine. I never even considered play games on mine because of the specs. I always play my games on my OnePLus 6T. There are some differences between the stock rom and most of the custom roms you find here for the this tablet. Most of the code has been converted to 64bit where the stock rom only runs 32bit code. Also the custom roms are running a different kernel. The only thing I can say is try it and let us know.

correct, i forgot about that. substryatum.key is missing from this rom, maybe srgrussu can include it in source (same was on our lg v30)

No idea how many users actually use Substratum anyway though ... but hey, installing the apk takes 2 seconds, so that shouldn't be a problem
So I went ahead and flashed this rom and I gotta say it runs pretty smooth, just as smooth as the stock rom. I did notice though for some reason when you have gboard in float mode there's a white line that runs across the screen where the full size board would be, it doesn't do that on stock or any of the other roms I've tried.
Overall I say this is a pretty great rom thank you for working/releasing it.

Substratum key has been added. No need to install it anymore.
To see complete change log see link in post #2
I dirty flashed the update without any issues :victory:
These steps should be followed though, if you already have Substratum AND the seperate key installed:
Disable or uninstall all overlays
Uninstall Substratum
Go into apps/all apps, find the Substratum Key (NOT the helper) and uninstall that too.
Then you can dirty flash, wipe dalvik/cache, boot up and install Substratum again.
Now while building the overlays Substratum MIGHT flake out on you and show you an empty screen with that spinning circle, but you should see it still building them all in the notification area. It's simply a visual glitch, but it still works :good:

These steps should be followed though, if you already have Substratum AND the seperate key installed:
Disable or uninstall all overlays
Uninstall Substratum
Go into apps/all apps, find the Substratum Key (NOT the helper) and uninstall that too.
Then you can dirty flash, wipe dalvik/cache, boot up and install Substratum again.

This probably isn't the right place to ask this question but I don't know where else to ask. When I google "Substratum", looks like some sort of special VPN network. But the XDA forum makes it look like another "theme" UI for Android. Which is it?

are these links to separate kernel files, that we install with TWRP on an already installed ROM, or are these files of the ROMs, that include the overclocked kernel?

Hi,
Would you please tell whether this rom support hd content on Netflix and Prime? Does this rom have L1 cache?
Also, how is the battery back up?
A few screenshots would be helpful.

Woohoo it's finally here.
Before flashing the ROM, you might wanna use latest twrp to flash OOS 11.0.6.1 on both slots and then go about flashing ROM. You might end with L1.
Can you tell the steps for that?
Initial impressions-
1. Rom is fast. I think, other roms with Dora kernal start lagging after sometime. I hope Linux kernal is better. It seems to be better.
2. Default launcher is pixel launcher which has zero customisations. Not even, changing grid size on home screen and app drawer.
3. Netflix and Amazon prime don't support hd content because of L3 cache. I hope, it can be worked around.
4. No camera app is included in rom. OnePlus camera would have been perfect. Camera app would have to be sideloaded.
5. One big plus is that it supports face unlock. Other roms available currently don't support face unlock. Also, fingerprint unlock is very quick.
6. Battery life also seems good. There is option for avoiding battery drain when phone is idle and it works very well.
Nice Work, it's my first costume Rom since the OP6. I will give it a try.
One problem: Magisk root request is amazingly slow, takes 5-10 seconds

#2 If you want to change grid size touch & hold on home screen and choose Wallpaper & Style, scroll down and you have it. Pixel Launcher is better for me, because I like the authentic Pixel look, with new A12 style date and weather widget on home screen.
#4 No camera app is a big bummer and it's very strange that we don't have a fully working GCam 8.4 mod for guacamoleb.
Why screen blinks whenever I lock phone by pressing power button? If it is not bug then how to change please.

I did not include a camera app as we are not allowed to include OOS cam and most people seem to not like camera2. Just firgured this was the best way to go about it. Then people can just install their preferred app. I use Gcam Wichaya and it works well for me
Firstly thanks to maintainer for this rom. I've been using it about 3 days and here is my thoughts.
1- I haven't encountered any major issues, the rom works fine as my daily driver. But sometimes lockscreen shows two different clock at the same time. Idk if its my fault or a bug but its there. (screenshot attached)
2- Overall, the rom is fast and smooth. I can see little stutters here and there but its rare.(except twitter app but probably apss fault)
3- Battery life seems fine to me. I haven't encountered any major battery drain and also overnight battery drain is around %3 which is very good.
4-Wichaya gcam works fairly good. Face and fingerprint unlock works almost perfect. If you are looking for a custom rom, i can recommend this one.
After a reboot, the alertslider must be switched to re-set the profile. If it is on vibration and I reboot, the sound is back to normal and the slider is on the vibration position.

Does this rom have Quick Unlock feature? If not, please include the option in the next update.
Also, if this rom comes with some pre-installed camera, can I disable it?
I have been on this ROM for about a week and it has been really good. It has that scrolling/inertia bug that affects certain apps (Skype, fore mostly on my end) and that's about it. Is there a way to fix this scroll issue?

Yes we do have Quick Unlock, you can find it in Settings > Security > Press the Gear Icon next to "Screen lock".
We ship "Camera Go" by default. By disabling the "pre-installed camera" if you meant to ask if you can uninstall Camera Go, no, you cannot. You can however use "Miui Camera" modules (https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/useful-mods-for-custom-roms-mojito.4494371/)

To describe better, on initial app launch, you can scroll fine on the main chat/gc list. after opening a conversation then going back to the chats/gc list, the scroll works but it loses the inertia effect entirely. I hope this helps. Thanks!
Good morning, I have a problem , I come from pixel experience, I had no problem Until version 13, which I decided to go to pixel os, All good, except for the duration of the Cell phone battery and fast charging, It only works with the screen on, If the screen is on, charge slowly, If the screen is off, load fast, I already updated the firmware and everything is updated, thank you!
also, the battery is not lasting long, it drains fast

There have been changes related to this and I do not experience this issue on my test versions. I would expect this to be fixed in the next version.
Hello!
I have a huge problem with the A13 builds: when I first boot my phone, everything works nicely. Then, I update the Google services and whatnot and eventually, I lose all network/4G connectivity. WiFi still works fine, though. When I reboot my phone, I get 4G connectivity for a few seconds (so that I get a few notifications from my messaging apps and stuff) and then it disappears again.
I had this problem a few months ago with an earlier A13 build and I solved it... by reverting back to the A12 build.
I figured, now that progress has been made on the development of the A13 branch, why not try it again? Well... The problem is still there.
What drives me nuts is I seem to be the only person on Earth to have this problem, nobody reported it in this thread and I've tried to maybe find something similar for a different phone / ROM... to no avail.
Any idea what might be causing that?
Thanks!
EDIT: never mind, I've found the answer. It's my visual voicemail app. It's probably not compatible with A13 (hasn't been updated in a while, I think) and it instantly breaks the connection as soon as it's installed. Uninstalling the app solved the problem right away.
I highly don't recommend this ROM, I am getting huge battery drain, bad performance and bad cellulars...

So is this modified stock? Asking because stock has some pixel excelusive features that roms like LOS dont have. Like a different less feature filled camera apk no option for the charging optimization and I believe the better voice translation is also only available on stock.
Do we get all the pixel exclusive stock goodness on your rom?

The main ones I KNOW are missing in LOS are additional camera options... cant give you specifics as I am on LOS atm, and there is no option for adaptive charging, adaptive sound and one other adaptive something, i think adaptive battery.
Also not sure if we lose the "better voice translation"
Ok, newb question I guess.... Its been a couple years since i've been actively modding any of my phones and I'm a little fuzzy on some details. Such as:
Can I relock bootloader following flashing this ROM?
What about root, do I need to root first before I can flash ROM or just unlock BL? &/Or do I need to root after flashing ROM, with Magisk, or is it already installed?
Thank you so much!
You can just unlock the bootloader to flash a custom ROM
you can root it if you want, just reboot to recovery and sideload the magisk.zip after you flash the ROM you want them direct install in the Magisk Manager app. there's not too much point in root unless you want LSposed (Xposed) or additional mods not provided by the ROM.
I'm not sure if you can relock the bootloader on this ROM, I know you can on Graphene OS and ProtonAOSP but idk if it's available on all ROM's.

Sweet, thank you! So no custom recovery needed either?
That was actually the very thing I was wondering after contemplating root (whether or not it is necessary and for what I may need it) So if not doing additional mods theres no reason to really have it then? Seems like it used to much more often be the case that root was required. It also makes it easier for bad actors to manipulate your phone, right...
Thanks again! One last thing... Does Android pay work with this ROM? (seems like it also used to be that custom roms broke various functions of the phone more often....)
Idk about this ROM specifically, I would test it out for sure. It worked out of the box with Evolution X, so maybe!
Depends on the ROM... Some will have you flash all fastboot images, others will have you flash a few fastboot images that contain the recovery and a few others and then have you reboot to recovery and ADB sideload it.

No I haven't added bootloader locking support yet . You have to separately flash magisk.
Installation...
To install this rom am I first installing vendor-boot.img from fastboot and then sideloading?
Thank you!

Flash boot, vendor_boot and dtbo from fastboot. Then fastboot -w and go to recovery and sideload the rom
Awesome! Thank you so much!
oop, one more thing, I flashed .img files and booted to recovery. I'm in zephyrus recovery however.... still sideload like usual, or apply update?

I got it, easy peasy..... Thank you!
What features does this ROM include and if anyone has tested this ROM how is battery life? I'm trying to find a good ROM that has Pixel features, Face Unlock, and good battery life if possible. EvolutionX has come the closest, but battery life is downright awful on it.

Pixel features are there, face unlock too. Battery life is subjective so can't tell. It's pretty good here tho.
