[Q] Need Help, Which Android tablet is better?

I am looking for a tablet for my family member but as there are many models with different features and sometime they overlap each other. Also price is a concern as I have budget of up to $160 (+/- $10).
As I search on net for tablets, lot of Chinese tablet came up with the price around my budget and many less than that. I summed up my search to Ainol tablets including Ainol Venus and Discover. But as I read the reviews regarding both tabs as well as other Ainol tabs, it seem as there is falling trend of quality or maybe they had such experience from having Ainol tablets.
So it would be very helpful if someone guide me in choosing a tablet from Ainol Venus or Discover or maybe better than both within my budget. Also there's another tab, Pipo S3 tablet as it is Dual Core whereas the above tabs are Quad Core. This is the another factor which made me confuse to decide for a tab. Either should I go for Dual Core or Quad Core? Please guide.
Tab with these features would be better:
7 or 8 inch, IPS screen would be plus, 16:9 screen ratio would be better, 1 GB or 2 GB DDRam, 16 GB internal memory, no GSM/3G required, bluetooth would be plus, dual camera (regardless of megapixels), Android 4.1/4.2, HDMI output, OTG port
Thanks in advance.

[Q] Android development boards

Hi everyone,
Today, I'm asking you about something a little bit more specific that just what kind of hardware should I use to develop on Android.
Indeed, I'm currently working on a multi-part project based on Android, mixing software and hardware parts.
I've got my Nexus 5 which is quite good as a development platform but it's my personal phone and, well, it would be quite ****ty if I bricked it.
So, now I need a development board with the following hardware:
Procs: ARM Quad procs 64Bits or Intel Dual/Quad 64Bits
RAM: 2GB Ram minimum
Storage: 16Gb / 32 Gb
System-Storage: eMMC Flash NAND 4Gb
Connectivity: BTLE 4.0 - Wifi b/n/ac - LTE/LTE-A
Even if the product do not have all the requirements, the Intel EDISON platform seems gorgeous to me as it has the perfect size/form factor for my project.
Unfortunately it do not support Android Out of the box, and I'll have to provide extra migration effort if I use this board for my project.
So, my question is, how do you proceed when you've got a multi-part project?
Why kind of dev board do you use? Do you develop on a relatively close to the finished product platform or do you use a more versatile devboard and then create prototypes etc on another project phase?

Is Portege Z30-A enough?

Recently I lost my macbook air, core i7 and then bought a Toshiba Portege Z30-A {Intel® Core™ i7-4600U (2.1GHz, up to 3.3GHz, 4M Cache), 8 GB RAM, 256 SSD}
My question is, is portege Z30-a, a perfect notebook for android rom development and android application development?
or I should buy another brand or model? I just operate my portege z30 3 days and feeling the display is not comfortable!
please help me to decide!

Surface Duo 2 and LG G8X

So, Surgace Duo 2 is out there, and I am willing to know if any feature of surface duo 2 could be ported to our LG G8X dual screen, such as Surface UI, Whatsapp for dual screen, etc.
With the first surface Microsoft updated their apps (outlook, office, etc) to work better with dual screen and those apps works on our LG G8X just as the surface duo. So I hope that the other improvementes done at surface duo 2 could help us either.
I am leaving yhis post here so anyone that notice any feature of duo 2 that can be portable to our device let us know here! (For example, the microsoft Ui).
Cheers

Duo updates

Does all the Duo updates that have recently come out bring the Duo close to the Duo 2 capabilities including the camera?????
