I just received a Nokia 5.4 to replace my aging 7.1. I can't really tell if the 5.4 has video stabilization or not, where as in 7.1, the stabilizing effect is unmistakable. So is there a setting that I have to turn on to get the effect? From most reviews, it should have video stabilization.

Hi,
I've question about Video Stabilization in ICS roms. LGCamera have 'Video stabilization' but I don't know witch devices support this option. Also apps CameraICS and CameraICS+ support 'Video stabilization' but i don't see any checkbox to set it.
After select in LGCamera Video stabilization i can't see any changes in videos.
Video stabilization works or not ?
I don't think S2 has video stabilization. I guess it must be implemented partly on low level (firmware) of the camera module which is the same for gb and ics roms. regards!

Hey guys,
I've got an xperia mini on ICS and, although it's not my main phone I still carry it around for it's pure small-factor-size. Just seems to fit anywhere.
The only thing I'm not impressed with is the video recording. It's S**T. Camera capture is pretty decent but the video recording is so blocky and jpegy it looks like its been compressed to play on a calculator. (and yes it is set to high quality in settings)
Now I don't believe this is the best the camera module can do. Is there no kind of app that can capture raw data from the camera and not compress it quite so much?
Am I asking too much?
using RN4 snapdragon running Cardinal AOSP. No matter which camera app i use the video recording is always dark and cropped in. Its even worst watching the video on a pc as the video is dark as well as zoomed in or cropped into almost half. Whats causing this problem and whats the solution ?? I believe the video quality is not like that in Stock MIUI rom.

That's zoomed because video stabilization is enabled i guess, but idk about the dark video
I have used pixel experience and pixel os custom roms with google camera (gcam) as primary camera. In Gcam Video options stabilization options do not really work i.e. video is always shaky irrespective of stabilization modes. Since stock/MIUI rom does have video stabilization, hardware does have this capability. Does anyone know how to fix this or any gcam version where stabilization work?

Facing Same issue
i have the same problem
If you use crDroid, you will not only gain the turbo charge functionality by default, but you will get a magisk module for an anxverse camera that is compatible with the phone in their telegram group, it is basically the stock camera for miui with minor bugs, but the stabilization works really well!!
