Question Why custom not have cleaner built in like on stock? - Redmi Note 10

Does custom ROM not needed CCleaner or avast cleaner etc.

What's the point of having it?
I keep track of which files I want to keep on my phone and which I don't, and no app can delete them without my specific consent. I don't want to lose any files.
I don't even want it to close my open applications to save memory. The system will take care of that sufficiently.

because they are shi* and useless apps ... you can clean cache from settings and remove unnecessary files manually

[Q] System Rom

i rooted my phone and install cm9 then i want to move all my internal stuff into my system rom but is already 6mb out of 200mb how do i clean it up?
Use titanium backup
Sent from my LG-P500 using xda premium
using it
i want to know that format system in recovery formats the internal or system rom.
Cause the first time i use titanium backup i move everything on the rom on the stock version then i keep on doing that cause my phone goes bricked cause of uninstalling the wrong things that causes my phone. Then i finally got it running but somehow i use every format in the recovery and did factory reset then system rom still did not increase the size?
Remove the unnecessary apps from the rom using titanium backup or link2sd.....or replace the high memory consuming apps with other alternatives...like trebuchet with zeam....etc.
System Rom
I free system rom in the following way:
1) Remove apps like All live wallpaper,Gtalk, text to speech etc.which i don't use.But don't delete "live wallpaper picker".
2) Go to root/system/media/audio by using root explorer or else and mount r/w.Delete heavy sized ringtones,Notifications etc. upto 50kb.
Can try this. I m managing ICS this way.Other suggestions are most welcome!!

ID the apk in /system/app then rename the extension to .bak or delete it all together.
remove apps
What they said above, OR:
get Titanium Backup from the Play Store
and use all the features it has:
remove crap you don't want, integrate
apps into the rom, remove dead items from
Dalvik cache, and other things. Very useful
for what you're thinking about.

[Q] T-Mobile Bloatware HTC One

So the T-Mobile HTC One comes with quite a bit of bloatware and I just wanted to make sure I uninstall all that crap with doing any other harm. So I'm creating a list of bloatware below. My question is, is it safe to remove all the bloatware with doing any harm to OS/phone in anyway? Btw, I do have my phone rooted and have Titanium Backup.
List of Bloatware: Feel free to add to the list if I've missed anything.
LookOut
T-Mobile MyAccount
T-Mobile Name ID
T-Mobile TV
Visual Voicemail
Also, is there anyway of taking out the Internet and replacing it with Chrome?

You can take out the internet but some of the HTC stuff most likely needs it. Also Chrome does not support Adobe Flash player where i am sure the internet one does. If you want to make chrome a System app, you do this with TB. Just long hold the app you want to make a system app in TB and click convert to system. This will move the app from the user data to the system. If you wipe the phone the app will still be there but will just need to be updated. An easy way to find bloatware is to freeze the app under TB and if you have problems you know that the system needs it. You can just go and unfreeze it and use it again. If you uninstall something and do not make a backup of it, chances are you are going to run into problems.

If you just have root the system files are not writable. You have to flash a writable kernel. Root and stock kernel will not let you R/W it will say it did and confirm, but upon reboot, well you already know that.
Check out some custom kernels to access those advance features. I am on bulletproof right now. Pretty slick

Thanks! I ended up choosing 'freeze' for now which is good enough for me.
EDIT: Needed a writable kernel to force uninstall talk in order to install the new hangouts. everything went great! installed this kernel:

Is it okay to erase stock apps like dialer?

Don't get me wrong, I know i can erase system apps. I always wonder if stock dialer and contacts are erasable so i could install any other app as user app and the phone would rrecognize them when in phone call
Depends on the phone. It's generally a bad idea. I recommend trying the replacement apps you want and see if the system will let you choose them as defaults and then try disabling the stock ones. Uninstalling them is not going to be helpful as you won't get any usable space for your own data as they're stored in different partitions. However, if you find out that you need the stock apps for something to function correctly then it's much better and easier to enable them vs install them.

The process said above is best to try
Better not uninstall it because if the new replacements don't work then you will have to flash the stock rom

Can't see the cache for a specific app

I'm using the FireTube app and it saves songs and such in a cached folder. The problem I'm facing is that I can't see to see or save the cache and want to format my phone. Is rooting required to get through this? Because it says it will delete my data if I root, which kind of defeats the purpose.
Let me know if there's a way to get my files otherwise. I can browse and see the directory for the app at /Android/data/com.palmerintech.firetube but it's empty (assuming that's the correct directory).
Thanks!

The cache is not needed to back up, as soon as it is empty it is repopulated every time you open the app, but you'd need the app data, by normal means you can't back up data from the apps the same way it can be done through a custom recovery or by rooting the device and using a root app.
The most you can do is trying with some app from Play Store, TBH I don't know from one good specifically for this purpose. I always use root.
