[Q] ROMs for Galaxy ACE

Hi Guys,
I have recently bought Galaxy ACE and battery seems horrible. I tried many options even disabled WIFI and data , but there is no battery improvement.
I want to install some good custom ROM which can improve battery and performance.
I am not able to find any thread mentioning all ROMS available for GALAXY ace.
Guys, please recommend which ROM I can install for my ACE.
Damn it not another one. Read the rom thread and make decisions, unless you admit you have no capacity to judge and decide.
Delivery on silverplate:

Tweak: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1223830
Apps: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=16828743&postcount=11
This is my personal taste, which works good for me.
If you want to adjust it to your own needs start to read the threads posted on the dev section.
Man, its raining trolls
Try GingerReal v1.1 or any ROM with CF-Root and then enable the CPU Conservation Gov. mode..
BTW, what was your phone before SGA? If its a non-smartphone lemme tell you that you couldn't really expect much from the battery of a smartphone.
That, plus Ace's battery capacity is quite small, 1350MAh. So you'd better get used to it.

[Q][ROM] Best Touchwiz ROM for i9300

Hey lads and ladettes,
I'm trying to find a good rom with some decent customisability but the main things I want are 25 toggles, low RAM usage (around 400-550mb after boot), fast, with good battery life.
I was using Foxhound 2.0 which was great but wanted some of the upgrades in 2.4 so flashed and started experiencing random reboots. After that I moved to Ultima v11 but the RAM levels never drop below 720mb which makes speed and multitasking an absolute MYTH! I'm about to try odexing the rom to see if it makes a difference but can anyone recommend an alternative?
Thanks in advance

Mods must be getting really really pissed of with these posts .

comparison between cyanogenmod and stock firmwares

I really don't know why cyanogenmod consume battery but the stock dont do that much
Maybe it's related to activating the powersaver mode , so what is powersafer mode ?
And is there any ROOTED method to maintain battery on cyanogenmod ?
And I saw on google there is a way of installing root module to make multi window for non TouchWiz phones ? Is that really working ?
And the sensors of the mobile like smart stay is off on CM s3
Or maybe s4 and note 2. 3 s pens when installing cyanogenmod would they lose function too ?
A link for multiwindow feature on xhalo module

Slimroms is based at cm11 and have enought life battery. Maybe custom rom are usualy drainer battery, but offer a lot of freatures
Send from my Galaxy S3 runing with TemasekROM
There are many comparisons already.
Now let me say. I think you know about AOSP and smoothness? Battery drains a little faster, that's true. That's becase Stock firmwares are smooth, maybe, but responsiveness is slow. I mean compared to AOSP,it's slow, that means less CPU power used, thus less battery drain. It's possible to configure AOSP to work like Stock,I mean make it as slow as Stock fw,so battery will be better.
I'm on AOSP now, too. On Stock firmware my battery usage from 100 to 20% was 4 and sometimes more hrs of screen time. On AOSP I get mostly 3.30-3.50,that's because I use custom kernel and tweaks which give more performance. I just couldn't stand that slowness and lags in some social apps on Stock firmwares (it was smooth in settings, but not in apps). AOSP is smooth everywhere and I prefer that and already got used to battery.
As for features, some are lost, some are gained.

Hmm totally agree with you , but it's not the social apps only on stock they are all apps are bugged and restarting crashing .. unbearable !!
But you know , if I didnt use powersaver mode the battery drains so quickly tho :/ on stock I mean
So what are the customizations I have to do on AOSP to give me more battery life ?

Is the S3 just slow?

I'm coming from a Moto G, That phone has a 1.2 Quad Core, 1GB ram, so similar to the S3, I would still be using it only I broke the screen so Im using my wifes old S3.
On stock 4.3 it was a disaster so I spent yesterday playing about with ROM's and to be honest I can't get much improvement over stock, the best I found was CM11 however it was a disaster with battery life, in fact a lot of these ROMS are, My Moto G has a smaller battery but lasts twice as long as the S3 battery life and yes I bought a new genuine battery.
It seems to me TW based ROMS, jerky, redraws etc, or CM based smooth but rubbish battery life. My old Moto G was buttery smooth with excellent battery life and it has lower specs than the S3 in all areas so there can be no excuse for this. Any advice on where I am going wrong?

Try using stock + AGNi kernel with these settings:
Governor - lulactiveq-mod
Internal + external scheduler - row
CPU max freq - 1600mhz
CPU undervolting - 30mv
AGNi preloadSWAP - On
Touchboost - 800mhz
Internal + External SD readahead - 3072
LZ4 ZRAM - 500mb
FRANDOM RNG - On
Or keep it simply: NCSROM 8.1
7h SOT

Neatrom AOSP or Archidroid 2.x.x stable
easily 4hr SOT
Does the Moto G have background data sync like the S3? This can be disabled. The background data is the biggest user of battery.

Using a CM or OMNI ROM+ Seeder may help you to improve performances.

ROM with minimum functionality

I still have Galaxy SII and completely working. I am looking to make it as GPS system.
I am looking a ROM with literately no functionality except the APK I will install.
A identical ROM would allow me use Google Maps navigation and does nothing more.
Why? So that I can save battery from Google services and other apps eating battery in background.
Appreciate the help,
Thanks.
Chameleon ROM (4.1.2) or 2.3 based roms
Thanks, I went for slimbean 4.4.4 ROM. Seems quite fast.
use the default samsung rom. it will give good battery life without heating
My SGS II is working almost 2 WEEKS (!) after battery charging. Of course most of the time on standby and with high signal level and wifi/3g offline.
I use it as third phone - when selling on olx or eBay.
I love S2!! It is small, handy and battery lives like on ancient times Nokia 6310
[Edit]
One important note:
I use fully functional AICP (7.1.2) and Greenify
