Impossible to record calls. Help. - Samsung Galaxy A10 Questions & Answers

I have tried everything recording apps that I could find, searched on the web and even written directly to Samsung (they really don't know anything about anything) with no results.
I bought this A10e from a friend but I absolutely need to record my calls for my work, unless the phone will end in a drawer.
Thanks in advance for your help.

everything depends on the legislation of the country for example in France it is prohibited in India it is authorized .
You will have to root to activate the recording of calls but know that in the case of Samsung you will permanently lose some features like Samsung pay ...

Samsung Galaxy S2 been barred. Please Help

Hi All,
Recently purchased a Samsung Galaxy S2 from Gumtree online. It was only working on o2 network so got at unblocked from a guy at a market stall so that it works on all network sims. It was working fine for about a week but then randomly came up with a message saying "emergency calls only" and I coulnt make or recieve calls or texts even if i changed the sim to o2. The internet was still functioning correctly however.
Called network provider and have been told that there is a bar on it by an insurance company. Tried to get back to the seller but have not been able to contact him. Have reported him but I would just like to know is there any way to unblock this phone at all? Dont want to lose out on all the money spent on it. would it be worth downloading any unblocking applications if the phone has a bar on it?
Please any ideas, comments and suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Apologies for the long message
Thanks

This forum is for the SGH-I777 (AT&T version, four capacitive buttons at the bottom.)
You're in the UK and bought from the UK equivalent of Craigslist, so you likely have an I9100. This isn't the forum for you.
Either way, nothing anyone here can do to help you - we are all AT&T customers.
Not to mention, sounds like you bought a hot (stolen) phone. Only the carrier it was first connected to can unblock the IMEI and unless you can prove you bought it legitimately they are unlikely to do so. If the insurer already paid out on a claim then they will never do so. Buying from unknown sources is a bad idea.
So in short, sounds like the guy got scammed.

[Q] Travelling with the Galaxy SII

Hello guys. In three days from now I'm going to travel to Australia. I have a few questions about the behaviour of the GSII in countries that aren't the one you live.
-First of all, if I am in another country, can I use the GPS without having a surprise in my bill at the end of the month? I was told by a friend that I can but I preffear to make sure.
-How do I disable 100% of the data connection?? just like the normal way or do I have to do anything else? I really don't want to look at my bill and see that my carrier company is charging me for using internet in another country...
-Last, I would thank a lot if you tell me the best apps for travelling, I know a few that I've found in the web, but if you know any because of your own experience or whatever please post it here so you can help me and everyone!

Google maps supports pre caching, so do that to the metro areas you will be in.

An alternative to GoogleMaps is AndRoad! which uses the openstreetmaps.org . I think this pre-caches if you like, but did not test the caching function.

Just Bought a Galaxy S3 (I9305) and Need Some Help

Hi there,
I hope i've posted this is in the right place if it's not I'm sorry.
I recently bought a Samsung Galaxy S3 LTE (I9305) phone in the U.K. on T-Mobile and while I was at the shop the staff member helping me said that there was no cap on the data so I would be charged if I went over the 250MB limit set by the contract I wanted. I said that I'd just turn off LTE/data roaming or whatever it's called so I couldn't use it at all and then he said that it would really slow the phone down if I did that because Android is designed to always be online because it's made by Google which I thought was a lie and tried to call him on it but since it was my first android phone I couldn't be 100% sure and ended up just letting him continue.
He tried to sell me a more expensive contract while I was there saying (without knowing what I will be using the phone for) that I would need more than 250MB a month and said that after the 12month period I could switch back to the one I was looking at which sounded good but then a colleague of his came over and corrected him saying that I would only be able to drop down to the next most expensive contract which led me to believe that he didn't really know what he was talking about. I did end up buying the phone but it wasn't a very pleasant experience.
So, I have a few questions that I'd appreciate answers to (if you have any links with further information that would be useful too):
1. Does turning off data roaming really slow down the Galaxy S3?
2. If I put a custom ROM on the phone do I void my warranty? Also, if I do and it ends up breaking the phone can they really tell that I rooted it?
3. What settings do I need to use on my router to connect the phone with Wifi? I keep getting authentication errors while trying to connect, I have the password on show characters so I know that it's correct.
4. Is there an application that I can download which will cap the data for me so I can't go over it? If it exists does it impact performance?
You will probably get better answers in the I9305 forums than in the TMobile (T999) forums. I am moving this there.
Good luck.

No, it will just mean you have no data connection unless your connected to wifi.
4. Is there an application that I can download which will cap the data for me so I can't go over it? If it exists does it impact performance?
This is built into android already, go to settings, data usage and there is an option to set a limit.
Thanks for the replies so far, since rooting the phone does void the warranty why do so many people do it? It just seems like a bad idea since a lot of people will be tied to a two year contract.
Also, does anyone know what could be wrong with my router? I setup a hotspot with my desktop which works but it requires the desktop to be switched on which is pretty inconvenient.
Root is so XDA development mods and custom roms can exist .
No root no XDA .

SIm Unlock T-Mob LG V10 purchased from Partner Purchase Program through Custom ROMs?

If you have gone through the other posts about sim unlock the T-Mobile LG V10, you must have come across users complaining that the Device Unlock app as well as the third party unlockers are not able to sim unlock some LG V10 phones, predominantly the ones that are purchased from the LG Partner Purchase Programs. Just want to check if there is any ROM that can help overcome this or can give the device unlock code popup when tried through the dialer? It's such a disappointment that I couldn't use this beautiful device on my network and struggling to find out a way for this unlocking.
For users who are having the same issue, do you think we need to go through an FCC Complaint for this?
I guess calling T-Mobile is of no help, no way they can add the IMEIs of such devices to the database?
I've been meaning to suggest this for a while. It's a huge longshot, because it seems to be limited to Samsung devices, but this fellow is able to unlock lots of their models by himself. I thought possibly someone could contact him and see if he might know anything about LG devices, or be up to the challenge of maybe tinkering with it. Wish I could be more helpful..

This has been mostly successful for people: https://www.unlockbase.com/phone-unlocking-service/tmobile-device-unlock-app-official-unlock/

That sucks... oh well, we tried!
Hmm, I started a PayPal dispute with the seller and he declined mentioning PayPal will not consider buyer's remorse. Also since it was never used on a T-Mobile account, it isn't register in their databases. I am planning of taking a 100$ prepaid account, use it for 3 days, apply for unlock and then escalate the claim to PayPal as hardware issue. Will that work? Did anyone try this way with PayPal?
Did you try activating the phone by buying prepaid card? How did it go? I am facing same issue and looking for solution as well.
Guys I found a solution for this finally and it's legit.

Call and email her. She is the one to make it happen. Just don't waste her time of you don't qualify for an unlock.
Got my cellphone unlocked finally. I filed a complaint on FCC complaints portal. I got a call from t mobile within a week. The caller took my IMEI and asked me to wait till further communication. Today I got a call from t mobile telling me that they were able to whitelist my IMEI. I tried the unlock app and my phone was unlocked.

Carrier crossover...?

I have the S7 edge from t mobil, G935T, and would like to move over to verizon, but they say I cant.
I was wondering if the reason for this is a hardware, or software issue. Can i root, and install 8.0 oreo, or do i have to buy a new phone that is capable of working on all networks? I love how t mobil didnt make me aware i was buying a phone that locked me their network.
Sorry for the newb question, but i cant find specific answer ti this question by google, or youtube.

hi,
What you experiance is a Netlock. every carrier can do that over a Smartphone to only access their network.
BUT with some Dollars every Carrier/provider gives you an unlock code to cancel the Netlock.
search first on the Homepage of your Carrier or go to a store and ask.
After this verizon should be no problem.

Ok, i really dont want to give anymore money to t mobil, is there another way to unlock my phone for all carriers?
Would rooting, to remove t mobile software, and installing 8.0 oreo get me away?
