It enables itself via a magnet in the lower part of the display cover.

I just got the dock and CAN NOT STAND the tap to click. The first thing I do when using a laptop is turn that off and I dont happen to see an option on the TF, does anyone know if this can be done? Thanks
Ive read you can only turn off the touchpad completely, supposedly from settings, but I can't find it: confused:

haha, thx, never use any of those hotkeys
Nice thing about the option to turn it off, means that you can use a wireless mouse w/ the keyboard dock & it will recognize it as an input device. Right now I'm using the Logitech Anywhere MX Mouse instead of the touch pad.
Easily my favorite feature of the S4 is the S-View Cover that wakes and locks the phone when open or closed, respectively.
Do any AOSP ROMs allow this feature? I've only tried Cyanogenmod and it did not.

I believe the Google Edition roms have it in the framework. Personally I'd be worried about that window burning into the screen.

I'll look into them! The S-View window only remains visible for a few seconds. Status bar burn in is a far greater risk.

You can toggle Magnifying Gestures in Accessibility settings. It's available in JB+ only.

One finger's enough, you just need to tap thrice quickly after enabling Magnification Gestures. It'll be harder to move, though, but you can zoom in/out.
I'm not aware of any app that provides magnification.

Are you sure you have Samsung Galaxy Grand 2 with its original S View flip cover?
Hi,
I am on latest version of coloros 7. I have tried everything I know but have not been able to get rid of these home screen animations which look like brackets at the border of the bottom edges.
Please help.
Attaching pics for clear picture. Note the brackets () at the bottom edges.

I have tried resetting themes to default. Home screen settings to different drawer styles. Changing icon types. Assistive ball off.
Everything literally in home screen and lock screen magazine menu.
The thing is it happens only in full screen mode. With navigation buttons, those brackets dont exist.
Btw, do you have these jn your mobile?

Very strange.
What is "Assistive ball"?
Sorry but I can't replicate this on my device.
Maybe someone can help who has the same issue

Ok. Thats new.
Donno why.
There is also a line in the middle which is aligned with the bottom edge. Its not associated with home screen settings. I have no idea what it is.

Maybe check developer options? See if there's anything in there that has been activated.

I have absolutely no idea to be honest.
Have a look and see if there are any toggles you can turn on or off.
One at a time. Check. If no...turn back on/off. Check another.
Just a thought.
As I said...I cannot replicate the issue you have and it is clear that you have some settings on your device that I don't, so I'm kind of looking at this blindly

Ok ok. Thanks anyway ?
On a different topic, could you suggest me a good back cover and screen guard for the device.

No problem.
I still have the original case and film screen protector that came in the box.
Found the solution
This is pretty much a swipe up to trigger google assistant, it appears when you turn on gesture control and it's a prompt (albeit not a very good one) to make you understand how to trigger it .
Since you can't swipe up from the middle to activate the assistant you need to swipe from the corners , do so 5 or 6 times and eventually the prompt disappears.
