Vendor Security patch level vs Android Security version? - Moto G Power Questions & Answers

So I recently installed a custom Android 11 rom CrDroid on my Moto g power (sofia), which comes with Android security update "September 5, 2021" and below it I see Vendor security patch level "February 1, 2021", the first I assume are patches directly from google which are put in by the rom maker, the second vendor patches are they supposed to be from Motorola?
If so is there anyway I can update the vendor security level to what it would be on the Android 11 equivalent of the stock rom from Motorola by copying/flashing it over somehow? Thanks guys.

Android Security Patch Level

Google has been addressing security on Android through monthly updates.
Why is android securtiy patch level on P9000 not updated more regularly?
Even though we had OTA 20170112 , the android security patch level is 1 June 2016. This is now more than 8 months old!
To check this: Settings, About phone
Why don't we receive regular updates, even if it is just with the latest security patches?
i didn't see any relevant answer in https://forum.xda-developers.com/elephone-p9000/help/p9000-security-updates-t3407544 or here http://bbs.elephone.hk/forum.php?mod=viewthread&tid=13198&fromuid=90419

The integration costs the company money, that's why updates mostly came very late or never.
And that's because we use custom ROMs like CM oder LOS. LOS13 [Build2] has a security patch level from march 2017.

Android security patches?

Hi,
Are we ever going to get new Android security patches? My phone (L21) is still on 1st September patch level... I had understood Huawei had committed to supporting the phone for two years but it seems that they have abandoned it....
I see other people saying that their patch level is 1st December but my phone doesn't find any new update when I check... I have also used the Firmware Finder app and indeed the latest patch levels seem to be available only for other Customisations (D001, D002) but there is nothing for mine (D003).... Does anybody know why?
By the way, I have another Sumsung phone which is older than the 5x and it is currently on 1st Feb 2017 patch level.

Had on LOS 14.1 and AOKP unknown battery processes so I changed to this LOS 13.Now the question is if you would build a newer security patch if it doesen't need too much time?

I will push one or two updates to this Rom.
This is great but and I know I shouldn't say it but... what.... about... android 8 :-/
you guys are great don't feel rushed by this message but I just wondered whether there was any progress after the broken camera and audio version that was posted
Hello,
I've just installed this ROM on EU kinzie that had previously installed latest stock and it doesn't detect the SIM. The ROM feels realy smooth , but without the sim it's rendered unusable. If you need mroe details and come up with fix I'll test it again.

Android Q Support

I'm wondering if I'll be able to install a stock Google android Q GSI as the phone supports project treble. Wilinstalling through fastboot or Odin trip Knox?
Is there a way to get Q without rooting the device?
I'm running Pie with the April security patch
Flashing official ROMs won't trip knox. You'll probably need to wait for the first beta to get released to get a flashable zip.
Also, I don't see any Android 10 based rom. Even if you root, there is nothing at the moment that you can flash. A lot of OEMS pushed already update with beta based on android 10 even Huawei. Sadly, Samsung is not one of them :crying:
Android Q Beta 3 is heading to 21 phones — here's the full list

Thanks very much for this Jenish_SweetRascal.
Once the initial Android 10 upgrade (410C) is installed is it necessary to sequentially install all the individual security patches or is it ok to just install the most recent security patch?

SPs are installed sequentially to avoid bootloops since a patch leaves some piece of info for the next one. MRs do not though

Last OTA update in my Nokia 6.1 plus device shows software version as DRG-415F-0-00WW-B01 which is I think X7 or Nokia 8 series build number. I dont know how it got pushed to Nokia 6.1 Plus. OTA update to be blamed and it actually bricked my phone. I am stuck with a locked bootloader and unable to unlock it and flash it with correct ROM for 6.1 plus model. any help is appreciated.
