I'm not sure what you mean by charging menu.
Reboot Menu = the popup when you long press the power button?
My Setting app is white text on black, I think it has been in all the ROMs so I'm not sure what you need there.
Widgets menu = when you long press on the home screen?
The Browser operates the same after the changes, just when you hit the menu button you get the white text (hopefully on a darker background ;-) ), I think the menu thing is a global setting whenever you hit the menu button.
If I still not understanding you maybe you can post some screen shots?
Those are the same edits I made. I did get errors trying to recompile some different framework-res apks the one I had luck with is the one from Mioze7Ae's bugfix3metamorph patch. Once I got that to boot I used ZipThemer & a morph to chage everything else. I'll attach the framework-res I built in case you want to check it out just note that it has the white text but still has the light menu backgrounds so its very hard to read.

Are there any ways to install another lockscreen but not by using apps (making them native, I don't like the way it works in widgetlocker app). I have root, CWM and so on
To be honest I want puzzle lockscreen like it was in Vibrant.

But unfortunately this is still an app superimposed to the original home screen or lock screen (which sometimes appears...)
Also the notification bar remains visible!
Original lock screen can't be actually replaced, but only hidden.

That's why I dont like those apps.
And why are there tons of lock screen in Vibrant Roms/i9000/Captivate and difficulties with i9100? What is the principal difference?

Besides home button unlocks the screen. Even with enabled and disabled notification bar.

+1 on that!! I hate the lockscreen so much, I'm using AntiLock to disable it. Apps like WidgetLocker or RippleLock are no proper alternatives because they either unlock with the home key, or have 5 seconds limitation, show the Samsung lockscreen underneath and such.
Just like you, I wonder what's taking devs so long to come up with alternatives. Why is it more challenging on this phone than others?
Guys,
I'm using WidgetLocker and enabled the Root Helper option, and also disabled the default Lock Screen. (In Advanced menu) and also checked Disallow WL suspend.
With these setting the defualt screenlock is only displayed for 1-2 sec when I restart the phone. but that's all.
Previously I also encountered the problem that I had to unlock the WL and then the stock one but now only WL is running.
I don't like lock screen in widgetlocker and in gingerbread itself. I like puzzle one or the one from ripple lock, but it doesnt work properly
just like the title says, i am running task650's (smexy) aokp and now that i have figured out my aokp's i am in love with it, but one problem... the screen won't turn on when i get a text, is there a fix to this? i am willing to go under the hood and change some coding if need be!

Makes the icon transparent. Flash in recovery. I did this for T-Mobile One, should work for AT&T too.

Although I doubt a need for this. How do I revert and get the symbol back after flashing?

Flash this if you want to return to the stock icon.
Thanks.. Worked like a charm. Have NFC w/o the annoying NFC icon. Although I'm not sure what I'll use NFC on. lol Thanks for the hard work!
Will this still take up a slot in the notification bar (meaning there will be an empty space if a new notification icon pops up)? Also how do I revert if want to undo this?

Just tried it. It does NOT get rid of the icon, it only makes it invisible. I plugged in my headphones and there was an empty slot in my status bar in between the headphone icon and the wireless icon.

oh you are right. sorry I actually had my NFC off. I turned it on, plugged in a headset and verified what you just posted.
So, does anyone actually know how to get rid of the icon entirely? It doesn't exist in the international ROMs, so there must be a way to do it.

Why after i installed this, it says "optimizing 5/250 apps"? Really? 250 apps?

sounds like a widget. longpress it and it should allow you to remove it. Or check the settings in any system information/management app you may have installed
