Unable to turn on Chrome OS live caption system-wide - Chromebooks

HI
I am trying to turn on Live captions in chrome OS system-wide.
The live caption feature is working great in the chrome browser but, I want it to work outside of the chrome browser. Like in VLC player.
Or is there any app or plugin which can make chrome to listen system audio?
I am running a chrome os image on an HP mini PC (chrome os 94).

[Q] Is there a browser that stays alive in background?

Instead of paying another $5/month to get another Rhapsody music authorization, I'd like to just run it from the mobile browser. The problem with the default browser is that the music stops playing if it's in the background or the screen is turned off. I also tried Skyfire but it doesn't stream music off the website.
Are there any fixes to the browser or any alternative browsers that can stay alive and stream music when in background/screen off state?
Miren browser is the answer. It has problems displaying the entire web page for some frustrating reason, but at least it streams music in the background or with the screen off.

I use my Nook mostly for book, news, and magazine reading, web searching and browsing, reference and lookups, quick viewing and editing of notes while on the go, email device, and as an auxiliary PIM (with the phone being the main PIM). Basically the stuff that's better on a larger screen than on a phone-sized screen when it's inconvenient to use the laptop.
My Nexus One mostly serves as my main PIM, alarm clock, task reminder service, portable nav device, time tracker, expense capture device, messenger, voice search device, and general communications device. Oh, and as a phone too.
The two devices fill in for each other in a pinch since most of my data is synced to the cloud.
Apps that get the most use on my NC:
Launcher: Zeam

My 19-month old son has begun "borrowing" my tablet so he uses a bunch of the OMBooks Dr. Seuss apps, Fruit Ninja, watching the occasional Sesame Street video on YouTube, as well as an app called "Baby Animal Balloons."
I tried using Google Currents for about a week and loved the app but it seemed like it really slowed down my NC and caused a lot of freezing so I uninstalled it.
And finally, I just started working on using Tasker to create a "Toddler Mode" so that when my son is playing with it, he's restricted to only the things I want him to be able to do with it. Hopefully I can find a way to make that work. I use Tasker for a lot of things on my phone and a few things on the NC.
And by the way, I can't even begin to express my appreciation for the CyanogenMod team and all the developers that turned this table into such a great device! The only thing that I can't do with the NC that I wish I could is using voice commands. Otherwise the NC has been a shockingly useful device for me on an everyday basis!

Twitch.tv website shows non-flash stream

Hi,
did anybody notice that twitch.tv offers somehow an opportunity to watch streams without using the rubbish flash player?
This happened to me when browsing to any channel which is currently live streaming with my i9100 mobile. The control elements within the streamed video are looking different (like native android controls) and a real fullscreen mode can be activated - see the attached screenshots..
The best thing: The video is streamed very smoothly and in high quality.
I tried Opera Classic and the default Android browser. Both had the alternative streaming mode.
Now I also wanted to have this feature on my Android TV box (accually no mobile), but it just shows me the regular flash player here. Changing the user agent to "mobile" did not help either.

Is there a way to have Chrome with good video player and adblock?

Hi, i use chrome as my main browser, because i use it on my desktop and i love sync. But i really want fast and good video player on google (like UC, dolphin, firefox etc.) because i am watching anime everyday and adblock would be good too... Is there a way to add these features to chrome?

Choosing Browser Video Player? - Android 7 Nougat

Hi all, like the title says I'm having trouble figuring out how (or if it's even possible) to make the browser prompt me to choose "Play Online" or "Download" after clicking a video link like it used to on Marshmallow... Assuming I want to play browser videos using MX Player instead of ****ty in-browser HTML5 players, is there anyway I can make this happen on Nougat without having to copy paste the link to MX Player manually?
I use UC and Dolphin Browser, Flash On-Demand + JavaScript On. For MX Player I'm using latest version with the setting to Play Media Links checked. All the same apps+settings I had on marshmallow.
Is this an android nougat issue, a Rom or app issue?? If anyone knows how to disable the built-in dolphin video player that'd be useful info too. Just don't understand why it doesn't work on Nougat, please help a bruva out with a fix or workaround thanks!
