So it seems I can't boot any LP ROM I try to build.
I even tried to build ROMs that were built before and it's still not working. Stuck at the phone logo.
Any idea what might cause that? KitKat is building fine...

I've got an old Lenovo S6000 which, like every other Mediatek device, has incomplete source code for the drivers and the kernel. As a small project, I would like to try and get Android Lollipop up and running to an extent where:
the system boots to the GUI;
the Wi-Fi works;
and the touchscreen works.
just to start off.
The device currently is rooted, with ClockworkMod recovery installed, and I can create Android back-ups of the system. Could I potentially take the kernel and the proprietary blobs and build them in to a CyanogenMod 12 update? Or would the kernel have to be patched to support the new features in Lollipop (the current OS running on the device is Android 4.2.2, and there have been no other working attempts to create a custom ROM for the device)?

Sir I want to know Mediatek 6589 3.4.5 kernel can be used with any custom lollipop ROM or it need development for doing that? what can be done to update device with latest android ROM, what is required for developing ROM and kernel? Do all Mediatek 6589 chipsets share same kernel? because sony has released the source code for 3.4.5 kernel but I don't know how to use it for development of new ROM with latest android, how cyanogen do that?

i have flashed NetHunter v3 on my Nexus 7 (2012) Lollipop. Everything works fine but whenever i try to install any packages it shows me to run ' apt-get -f install ' to correct dependencies . After running that command i get something like this (screenshots).
Looks like some kernel problem. I have kernel version 3.1.x .
I have tried a rom which has kernel version 3.4 but that rom was unstable and unable to run terminal. So can i have a kernel for my Nexus with kernel version 3.2 or above...

My phone just went bootloop by itself and it doesnt properly boot by itself . It was running on Android 7.0 . So l ve previously backed up the stock rom using twrp but when restored ..... again it goes into bootloop. I ve basically flashed all of the existing custom roms like lineage , resurrection remix,cardinal OS, pixel experience . And i even tried downloading the stock rom and flashing it. No use. Basically I cant flash no roms now . Btw i am running on latest versiom of twrp for my device 3-2-3-0 . I tried the earlier versions also . No use. Somebody suggest a solution to this issue.
