Back then I always wanted to have an S5 but the price always seemed to high in relation to its features. Now a friend was in trouble because her phone's stock android was becoming increasingly old: More and more apps were not working properly or not working at all. Also it became pretty sluggish.
She was willing to try LOS, so I got a used one for about 20 bucks and flashed it. Using Passmark it jumped almost 45% - wow!
However, the battery was shot, keeping it for less than an hour and bulging already... in an other thread I stumbled over this:

Never do the mistake to buy an "original sammy accu". It's all fake...

Exactly this: All fakes! With all my previous Samsungs I had the very same experience(s). Never mind the dealer or the package, if Samsung is printed on the refit, inside will be some fake battery.
First clue is usually the weight: If you still have your original battery, weigh it and compare it to the replacement - the fake weighs less. Then you can probably also find some differences in the printing.

Fun fact: Samsung does NOT care. I had a lengthy dispute with them and they basically said "If you think it's fake, go to the police... but don't bother us".
So, let me attach a little poll - which brand would you buy for replacing your phone's battery and why?

PS: Since you read this post so far, also don't be shy - just weigh your current battery and drop a line here.
I'm also interested. Good quality third party batteries are hard to find. Especially for older devices

Well, ebay usually brings up a lot, especially a lot of original Samsung ones, eg
https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_nkw=original+EB-BG903bbe
Alas, couldn't spot a single one that would pass the printing-is-off-check
@Yotoprules Have any recommendations for reliable 3rd party brands?

Honestly, not really.
I think Nohon is OK but haven't tried them myself, you have to order it from AliExpress and they cost more than other brands/fake original batteries.
Also, avoid any battery that claims to be significantly higher capacity than the original, those are also fake.
So avoid HSAbat, losoncoer, dadaxiong, and other brands that fake their capacities.

I have a sample of 2400mAh capacity battery (third party) for Hermes. However the minium quantity of this battery is 1000pcs. Could anyone got the channel to sell it in your country? (for wholesale or retail market)
Is this as thin as the original battery or is that the thick one and needs an extended cover?
There is already a 3200mah battery available for $59.99 US so unless the 2400mah battery has a MUCH better price, it probably wouldn't be a big seller in the US (IMHO).

it's a bit thicker for the extra 900mAh battery and it comes with a back cover too.

The original in a 8525 is 1300mAH, so if you can get a 2400mAH in the same size you probably could sell ALOT. But if you still have to add a battery door for an oversized battery then SEIDO 3200mAH is a better deal.
Have you (or anyone) tried this one

looks lke the new back door they provide is no where near as bluging as the 3200mAh version ..... but the picture may be deceptive !!
Anyone got one or used one

Hello Folks,
some days ago, I bought from Ebay a new battery to my mother's iPhone, I bought a battery with 2430 mAh, I had searched for one like that to Lumia 800, I have a WP7, LG E900 with a battery like that and I can use it for three days without change the battery, any one here can say here a find a battery like that to Lumia 800?
Thanks!!!
dont use batteries that arent made only for your phone or produced from nokia in your case.
If its a fake 1)the battery life will go down very fast 2)you will for sure have a problem when charging your phone with extreme temps and lastly there is even a chance with chinese or fake batteries that they will explode(not like a bomb but still will ruin your phone) if exposed in high temps(sun etc)
All replacement batteries arent that bad. Before buying read the reviews in amazon etc. For example I had an "extended" battery on my Samsung galaxy s and I never had any problems with it, and it really improved the battery life. Though I remember news about exploding phones when using these replacement batteries. Yes, of course there is a risk, and it is a risk that you should think about. In my opinion your Lumia 800 is too expensive to gamble
i thought you couldnt replace batteries for this phone?!? isnt it like the iphone, ie built in (cant get it out)

It can be replaced but you need to take the phone apart. It is not very difficult though.

got my standard battery to last 4 days 12h.
although i only use it for texts, light calls and light music use. oh and the odd internet browsing. the lack of apps is the main problem. theres some cool ones but for games i use my tablet (android)
I'd like to take out my stock 4000 mAh battery and replace it with a larger battery, possibly 6000 or 8000 mAh?
I can't seem to find any larger batteries on ebay or google though.
Has anyone done this before? anyone have any specific recommendations?
most would recommend not to change the original battery (myself and Samsung) because the size for a larger capacity battery is physically larger. as the battery cannot be changed by users, opening the device will void your warranty and may also be of danger.
I bought my tab used in China, I have no warranty. Also it's not intended to be changed by users, but it is possible, and not to difficult and there are instructional youtube videos. once you open the tab up it's pretty straightforward. furthermore I think there are some batteries that exist that are larger capacity but same physical size.. aren't there?

I kind of assumed that some 3rd party company just makes replacement ones, hopefully bigger, at 5000 or 6000mAh?

You won't find a (genuinely) larger capacity battery which is not also physically larger. Why? Because if one existed then Samsung would obviously have used such superior technology when making the Tab in the first place.
That said, there may be a possibility of just buying a replacement battery of the same size, wiring it in parallel with the existing battery, running the wires through small hole(s) drilled in the back cover, and attaching the battery to the back of the tab. This is something I am considering myself, but obviously it won't be a popular mod.
Great thanks a lot for the useful input. Batteries after months of use go down in total capacity right? maybe if I just bought a new battery it would have a much better performance? Is there any way to find out what my current battery's actual max capacity is? I have current widget, but it doesn't seem to have the information I seek.

I see online some replacement but all with same capacity (4000mAh)
We have to wait to see batteries with more capacity, but when we find one that have 6000/8000mAh we also find a new tablet with more power and a bigger battery inside, so it's a waste of time
Where's the batteries for this phone???
I got the onite batteries on amazon nut they're the only ones who have anything.... and heads up, the charger they sell it worthless. Its a universal charger that's way too small for the battery.... Why the hell doesn't samsung make a battery charger combo for this phone??? It's like even they didnt have faith in it when they made it.

I got extra batteries from eBay which are 3500mah and they work fine. I just charge my phone via PC's USB and it takes less than 2 hours. You may need a 2A charger if you want fast charging. It's a new territory for Samsung so they must be cautious not putting everything in it.

At the bottom of that page, the two accessories (flip cover and battery set) are shown again but no further detail, no product codes. Looks like the accessories are only available as sets with the Mega only at the moment. The device is still new on the market, the accessories might be available later elsewhere, too.
There is some hope:

I found on google that there is a cheap extended battery for Galaxy Note 3. It was selling by Xell Telecom on a website called Batterybay.net
I tried their extended battery for galaxy Note 2 before and it works fine except the back cover is not staying firmly. Now they offer Galaxy Note 3 Extended battery that I could possibly give it a shot!!

I'm all for trying different products out, but you've already said you've had problems with them before why go back? Whats wrong with the ankers one if your looking for that size?
Ankers (cheaper, supports NFC, reliable brand) > X-longer
I won't even bother with off brand batteries anymore. Many others can confirm that most off brands will only last slightly longer than the OEM battery, if any at all. I've had experience with many different 3rd party batteries over the years, and Anker is one of the only brands which I've used that I'd actually buy again. I've never tried ZeroLemon, but I've heard nothing but good things about them. That said, those are the ONLY two brands that I would feel confident buying.
