[Q] Bug when trying to open outlook attached files

Hi all. I've just upgraded my hd2 to new official rom 'orange' 3.14.
And since, I can't no more open attached files in emails whatever the format (xls, pdf, ppt, etc)
Moreover the phone reboot when trying to access email or sms.
Anyone has an idea how to fix the bug?
[update] Finally the origin seems to be the SD card.

[Q] can't open certain pdf docs on my tab

I put some pdf docs to my tablet. I tried to open them, but some of them couldn't be opened - as it said. I have tried out almost all the pdf readers, none could open those files. Oh, and before asking, yes, I can open all of them on the computer.
It seems like the tablet just doesn't recognize these files. There are Chinese letters in the files' names, it doesn't know the sizes either... etc.
Why is it? What do you think? Most of the ones that cannot be open has photos in them. Books, I mean. Books that have been photocopied and put to a pdf file. So I can't mark words like in a normal pdf ebook.
Hmm, I hope we'll find out what's wrong...and how can be solved.
Thanks!
hohooo, I have just found out how can I manage to open any file. I had to rename all the files, changing all the Hungarian titles...and now the device recognizes them.
Then my question is: How could I make the device to be able to read/open the files having Hungarian names? Should I change the whole language of the device?
Please use the Q&A Forum for questions Thanks

Unable to attach files from Google Drive

I have Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 Pro running MIUI Global 7.3.7.0 Stable (LHOMIDD). When I compose email message and wish to attach a file stored on Google Drive there is not option to attach from Google Drive. There is just no Google Drive in the list of the places from which it is possible to enclose files to emails. It seems that Xiaomi allows to attach files only from the phone internal memory but not from Google Drive. I tried stock email application and one more from Play Store and both "do not see" Google Drive. Is anybody else having such an issue? Is that possible to fix it?
Just to advise what I found out. Google application "Documents" is by default disabled in Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 Pro. Due to lack of this application it is impossible to attach files from Google Drive. So it is necessary to enable "Documents" in settings and it will then be possible to attach files from Google Drive. However if you reboot Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 Pro "Documents" will again be disabled and it will be necessary to enable it again manually.
The Solid Explorer file manager can connect to google drive, and other cloud services as well, and can be used to pick attachments in email apps.

MATE 10 PRO - Files copied from PC get the current dates as date created and modified

Hi there,
For 4 weeks I am using the Huawei Mate 10 PRO. Previously I've been using a Xiaomi Mi5. I have one problem regarding the data migration. I mean - when I copy photos and videos (but it happen with all files, but I need to fix this for pictures and movies to sort them properly in Galery and other apps which allow to attach photos and videos like Whatsapp), then the files on the Internal Storage of the Mate get the current date, not the original from files. To fix this I tried use the HiSuite - import, copy with Android file transfer on Mac, robocopy on windows and the last chance was given to samba share and copy with Total Commander with Lan plugin. No of them were successful. So I have to ask you, if you know working workaround... I read a lot articles about this problem and it looks like this is not the Huawei problem, it's the Android FUSE problem. But is there any working solution for this problem? I tried to change the attributes from my PC using Exiftool, but I get an error "No privileges".
Copying files changes the file creation date. That is totally normal behaviour. Same happens when you copy files in Windows from one drive to another. And as you realized yourself it is not a Huawei issue.
The EXIF-Tool can only change embedded EXIF data in pictures but that is not changed anyway when you copy pictures from your computer to your phone or viceversa.
The problem are the apps of the phone reading the file creation date instead of the EXIF data of pictures. If there is no app to change the file creation date on the phone I think there is no way to solve this problem.
try advanced renamer for windows. if i remember right it has option to set creation date from exif info
So my tests show that only moving file from one folder to another preserve the dates. I tried to change the creation date with total commander on the phone, but i get error message Access denied! (1x).
One idea left - use the otg cable and move files from it to internal storage, but i think that this will give the same result...

Google Photos & Image Files

Hello All,
When I browse my WhatsApp Image folder through google photos I see 57 photos but when I connect the phone to the computer and browse the folder, I see 80+ images.
I tried restarting the phone several times in case it was a scanning media issue. I have even checked if there was a noMedia file and I don't get what the issue is
Any suggestions ?
Thanks,
Pete
