Best ROM Suggestion For S9+ - Samsung Galaxy S9+ Questions & Answers

Hi guys, I have been searching ROMs and all I ask from a ROM is good camera quality. If you have any recommendations, can you please share with me. My phone is exynos model of S9+
The ROM can be android 10 or android 11, it doesn't matter.

Noble ROM will do the trick.

[NEW TO ROOT] Most stock rom for SM-g925F?

What is the most stock ROM for s6 edge? I was hoping for cyanogenmod 13, but it turns out that they dont actually got a ROM out for S6 Edge, atleast not an official one. I currently got SpaceX-Kernel and TWRP recovery on my phone, with stock ROM. I would be thankfull for any help I can get. For your guys information I am kind of new to the world of ROOT, even if I have Rooted several phones before, it was only for fun, and I always ended up with a bricked phone. I can't afford that this time, because this phone is my daily driver and from my own money. Also sorry for alot of questions these days, just rooted the phone, and curious about TONS of stuff.

Root My Galaxy A5 (2015)

Hello Guys,
I am new To XDA and recently registered. So I am not sure that I am writing this thread in right place or not. So, please tell me the right place if i am wrong.
Ok, I have Samsung Galaxy A5 (2014)/(2015) (SM-A500G). It came with Android 5.0.2 Lollipop.
As most of you know that few months earlier samsung rolled out the marshmallow upgrade (6.0.1).
I upgraded but my device performance considerably reduces. Even some daily used to tasks start giving too much load to the device. In small words, Device started to hang too many times than earlier.
And some of you may suggest the reasons like:- Nearly complete storage, Power Saving, Too much apps, Virus and malware etc.
(Samsung Help Center Suggested it). But i can assure you this is not the reason. My storage is almost 70% free. etc etc.
The real reason is MARSHMALLOW UPGRADE.
So, I think the best way to solve it is Rooting.
But I am an newbie to the world of rooting. I don't know what is custom recovery, TWRP, Odin, CF-Autoroot etc.
I only heard there names but nothing else.
This doesn't mean that I know nothing about how android works and what is custom ROMs. I can manage these things; but not the above mentioned.
So please anyone of you can tell a detailed guide how to root galaxy A5 (2014) on marshmallow 6.0.1 with all the steps mentioned
and what each steps do. It will be very helpful.
And few things more, 1] I am thinking that after rooting I reinstall the official Marshmallow ROM; as earlier I updated my phone by OTA update and so might it cannot get to it's full potential. I am not sure that this method will work or not, so please clarify this point also.
2] My only source of Internet Connection is the device itself by making hotspot. So please please guys, give me a fully tested crash proof way to do rooting. I don't want to brick my device ( No one wants but in this case if it happens I can't find some way on the internet to reverse it). And you can also suggest any before hand precautions like full Backup of current system image etc etc. that will help if something goes wrong.
3] I already read a few threads on XDA about this issue but I cannot understand properly, so please don't provide links to these threads.
4] Also please provide a list of official and unofficial ROMs for A5
Thanks in advance
I have to read some pages to find a good tutorial but I'll find one. I root Samsung phones all the time. Its not going to brick your device. Asking here was smart, don't trust any website you find off google without fully understanding. Also, you can not install stock ROMs from custom recovery, only from a computer. That process is easy. Download the firmware and flash it. The other choice is custom ROM and recovery. Let me know what option you want to go with and I'll explain more. There are good custom ROMs, ressurection remix. Lineage os. Ice, tipsy is a good one. I use RR on my S5 and s7

Thanks for reply. I really appreciate it.
I read your reply but can't understand it fully. The reason is simple- I currently don't know what is Custom recovery and Flashing. Please explain these terms first and then I will tell what way I want.
Thanks.
A custom recovery allows you to flash zip files and operating systems from your phone directly, but only custom operating systems, not the official Samsung firmware. It is safe to use. Flashing stock firmware is the operating system as Samsung released it with nothing changed. You can gain root access to your device on stock or custom. Usually custom removes the carrier and Samsung stuff that takes up phone memory. It depends on what you want to use your phone for.
OK I go for samsung stock (official) ROM
Flashing is installing the contents of the package to your phone with a special tool like Odin or a custom recovery. And recovery is the menu on your phone from which you can restore backups or flash files.

Create an account on this site, it is free. Locate firmware 5.1.1 for your device, and make sure it is the same as your cellular service provider. So if you are on AT&T download a5 5.1.1 AT&T firmware file. It will be a large file. Once you have the file you will need a computer application named Odin. I will post a link for it shortly.
Hey wait a second. there's 6.0.1 or 5.0.2 files present. no 5.1.1.
Sorry, I replied too late. Actually caught in busy work.
Ok, I googled to know more about rooting etc. etc.
And I got a few uderstanding.
Then I re-read your replies and fully understood them.
Then something came to my mind:-
I am currently on 6.0.1 and Want to re-install it. So I currently downloaded 6.0.1 firmware from sammobile.
So, I don't know Odin can reinstall firmwares or not.
Just for your knowledge. See If we are going right or not.
Thanks
Hey, Anyone out there, please help me.

it is rooted if it makes a difference but on stock still

Here it is bro Although the download speed is so slow
As far as I am aware of, there is no custom ROM for SM-G357FZ. There is only this ROM from Samsung, but it is Android 4.4.4. Pity, as this device would have easily carried Marshmallow or Nougat. However, there have been no developer who would have devoted his/her time.

Help with flash a new rom...

Hello everyone I have a question to ask about the customization of my Galaxy SII GT-i9100 ... I followed the guide present in the Carbon Rom thread for the flash of the device and everything went well...now I have the TWRP with the Rom, which is not a splinter anyway, so I would need to try others, as I realize that Android 9 is a little too much for the Galaxy SII. Unfortunately, after flashing roms like Lineage OS 14, the device gets stuck on boot animation, but it is not the only Rom that does so. Can anyone explain to me how to possibly install different roms, since unfortunately I did not understand the mechanisms that underlie the modding of the Galaxy SII? Between Pit files and kernels to flash with Odin, I am a little lost xD Also I would like to know if, by flashing the stock rom with Odin, there is the risk of brick to start from scratch, without flashing the pit or anything. Thanks

hmmmm it is becuz there is rollback protection so once you try 9, no way back to 7.1 or so. restock will just brick emmc.
idk about what rom is good
Samsung's official firmwares are much more stable for GT-I9100 rather than custom ROMs for it. So, there is almost no reason to install the custom ROMs.
Now you have to go to a good repair shop (preferable official Samsung's).

Galaxy S21 (Exynos) Rooting and custom ROMs

Last time I tried rooting was in 2016/2017 using Super SU but now many years later I want to try to root my phone again. I have Galaxy S21 ( Exynos ) and I was wondering what would be the easiest way that won't cause too much trouble.
What are the pros and cons of rooting a phone in 2021 and are there any dealbreakers like not being able to recieve system updates or banking apps not working at all.
I would also like to know if there are any android 10 based custom ROM's for Galaxy S21 currently?

In order to root you need to unlock your bootloader, which means no system updates. Most apps will still work if you install Magisk (SuperSU equivalent). There are not really any roms yet, but you can see that easily from the rom section of this forum:

Hi,
Since there's no custom ROM for this model, I wanted to try the GSI way.
I've installed TWRP on my S21 (o1s) following this procedure : https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...-for-galaxy-s21-exynos.4241869/#post-84592059
Then, I flashed /e/ OS from here : https://images.ecloud.global/dev/treble_arm64_bvN/
However, the phone keeps bootlooping after displaying "This phone is not running Samsung's official software. You may have problems with features or security, and you won't be able to install software updates."
I believe I'm missing a step in my installation (something about vbmeta maybe ?). Can anyone help me ? It's my first time dealing with recent Samsung phones (= post-Galaxy S9).
(I've also posted this question here : https://github.com/phhusson/treble_experimentations/issues/2006)
