Question Odd Internet behavior - OnePlus Nord N200 5G

Just wondering if any one else has had this issue or might have so insight to what exactly is going on.
I use KLINK to tether my phone to the computer and never had issues till i got the N200. For some odd reason 99% of the time when i tether via KLINK sites like Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Facebook, Minecraft Realms and Marketplace, and a random collection of nongaming or media sites fail to load with a time out error.
If that wasnt odd enough sometimes Netflix and Facebook load perfectly fine or Amazons main page wont load which normally loads fine ( the only constants when its acting up is Prime Videos wont load and Realms/Marketplace)
I tried PDAnet and easytether and strangely neither of them will work at all. Also when i use the built in tether everything works fine
Plus if i enable my VPN everything works fine
And just to double check i tested with my other phone, a Pixel 4, and it works fine.
EDIT: Just wanted to add im on Tmobile Magenta Max 55+

i used to have similar issues with pdanet and easytether. is your n200 rooted? if it is, you can use the vpn hotspot app along with the adguard app for tethering, that's what I'm using right now and everything works great.

[Solved] Gtab android tethering

Hey guys, been away on holidays for about a week, while our little family was away i planned on using my gtab to access facebook and some of the facebook apps i use (and no im not playing mafia wars ). I was not able to do this, ill explain and hope someone may be able to help me sort this out for next time.
To start with i tethered my gtab to my android phone, this worked great for internet access, it wasn't till i tried to access facebook on my gtab as per normal that i ran into trouble.
Now to point out i run facebook normally on my gtab using my home wireless network ok. But as i was using my phone to tether and provide internet access to the gtab, it didnt work out as i planned.
Instead facebook would not load on my gtab, it simply would not fully load, so i tried using the facebook mobile app, this worked the first time i used it while being tethered to my android phone, but it meant i was not able to access other facebook apps, as they r not available in the facebook mobile version, also to top it off, the mobile version only worked once, and would not fully load again from that point on.
Now lucky for me, my wife brought her win7 laptop along on our holiday, so i was able to tether her laptop with my android phone, and to make it more interesting, i was fully able to access facebook and the apps i needed through her windows based laptop.
So what i took from this was as long as my gtab is tethered to a mobile phone for internet access, it acted like a mobile phone and required the use of the facebook mobile phone version instead of the full browser based version.
I need to be able to use the full browser version of facebook to be able to use other apps provided by facebook, so im hoping someone knows how i can configure either my phone or the gtab so i can overcome this issue, any help please ?
What app are you using to tether? Is it the standard 3g hotspots or are you rooted and running something else?
have you changed the user agent to desktop on your Gtab? if not go to settings of your browser and do so.
Thanks guys for the replies.
Im using the default phones tether option under
wireless & networks.
Tethering & portable hotspots
portable wifi hotspot
Ive also tried to find this desktop setting in the browser, but i must be blind, i cant see it anywhere. Im using the default browser that cames with Vegantab 5.1.1
"about:debug" in the browser url window. Settings and scroll to the very bottom. You have to set it every time you reboot
Thanks guys for pointing me in the right direction, once i knew about the desktop setting for the browser, i was able to do a bit of reseach and found out that you can set this permanently in Dolphin HD. So thanks to you guys im now able to do what i need to, thanks heaps.

[Q] Free Tether For TB?

Is anyone currently using a free tether app for a Rooted TB?
This is what you want to use:
http://code.google.com/p/android-wifi-tether/downloads/list
Download the latest. I have found this to be the best app for the job.
Roger that! I will give it a shot.
Seems to work great! I should only use this app alone and not the hotspot widget, right?
Yup thats all you need for tethering freedom
F...king Whoa!!! Makes rooting worth it.
Does this still work for anyone?
I was using both the built in portable hotspot in CM7 and occasionally the WiFi Tether app on my Thunderbolt and everything was fine until Verizon started blocking third party tethering apps *which apparently only affected Gingerbread users...

Since then when I tried to connect to the WiFi hotspot from my laptop it would just hang while connecting, it would eventually give an error -something along the lines of: "unable to obtain an IP address" and if it ever did connect it would say connected with no internet access. The only app that would work for me was Barnacle WiFi Tether, and I'm still using it with no problems, just wish there were more options, and I'm scared it will get blocked soon too. I'm loving LTE, and with an unlimited plan at $29 a month it's just begging to be shared with my laptop.

The built-in wifi hotspot in CM7 works fine so I haven't found the need to try the wifi tether app linked above lately. If you'd clicked the "wireless tether" tag in the article you linked you would have seen some suggestions and statements that it works fine.

The CM7 tether can be a little buggy and give out after a while. Android tether has always worked the best for me.
Verizon can't block tethering apps on your phone, they can only get Google to remove them from the market (which they have) - though there is still a couple like barnacle floating around in the market.

Only downside is that if you abuse it (maybe 30+GB month) you're at risk of getting your data transfer rate slowed down. But the next month as long as you didn't use a lot the previous month it'll go back up.
Thanks for the info !
Another option for USB tethering would be PDANet. I use that for tethering my Mac
installed wifi-tether 3 beta2 (latest from google) to my rooted Thunderbolt stock ROM
I start wifi tether, computer connects, but when I open the browser it never loads a page
Use 2.0.7
Via my HTC Thunderbolt

Current(3-14-2013)Workaround for T-Mobileā€˜s WiFi Tether block

I found this video today about how to workaround T-mobiles wifi hotspot block. It worked! I own a rooted LG-P769(I dunno if it works for un-rooted but the video says its supposed to)
Now in the Video he does a step by step process. For a reason. I dont know why but for some reason it works the way he does it. because i didnt do it his way at first. i just download the apps and turned on the app "Hola" and then turned on PDA.net and that dont work.
ok okay, all i wanna say and dont hold me for any bad results you get but. Just follow what he does and it worked for me coo. Im just the messenger dont kill the messenger
FYI the two apps i used was "Hola" and "PDA.net" got them right off the Play Store.
(sorry i dont have enough posts to post a link)

FoxFi works perfectly too. I think it also works without root.
Can you pm me the link. If not it koo
Sent from my LG-P769 using xda app-developers app
what i did was, using foxfi, using google chrome, using user agent switcher extension to mimic android. boom. done. i was doing this about 7 months ago
FoxFi/PDAnet+ with the proxy addon works when tethering my iPad for almost all apps. When I use Amazon Video app I get blocked. All tether traffic stops until I reconnect the iPad.
I don't even get the upsell page from T-Mobile. This started recently.
I would not trust a peer to peer proxy unless it was the Tor network. You never know if your data is safe.

USB tether DNS issues

Im using stang5litre Edition 5.0 v3 on OF1 I cant rememeber if im on the newest version or not, i feel like i might be on V2. My issue ive been having not only on this rom but the last one i use too(hyperdrive) is with random pages not working when using USB tether AND Wifi Hotspot. Some sites just return a DNS issue. Its really weird. For instance right now i can watch live streams on my DirecTv app on my phone, but my nvidia shield thats on the same network cant, ive also tried this with the wifi hotspot and had the same issue, but it comes and goes. Ill also have google issues alot. Like my phone providing the internet can use google just fine but if i hop on the laptop its hit or miss if i can use google, google.com just returns a dns issues 90% of the time. I dont know if anyone has an idea but im open to suggestions. Right now i have my phone plugged into my Asus RT-AC5300 routers usb port and have to set to android phone for primary wan, works awesome for 99% of tihngs, i just keep having random DNS issues. Im on verizon and have unlimited data

Weird WiFi Problem Not opening Pages

Hey guys. So my Mate 20 Pro has the WEIRDEST issues. When connected to wifi a few web pages etc are not opening. Instagram can't refresh feed etc. But if I use my Mobile Connection or use a Proxy when connected to the wifi everything works. The same wifi connection on the pc works flawlessly. Opens every single page immediately including the ones not opening on the phone, and even plays games effortlessly.
What do you think is holding back this connection on my phone?
Sounds like you were using public WiFi and some tend to use a firewalls which block lots of different things, I was on the train the other day and they didn't allow forums
The wi-fi on my phone has been screwed since day one. It still 'works' for most things, like games and such, but web pages or links in a reddit app will mostly load (the progress bar will speed along and then grind to a halt) and then... Nothing. When I googled around, it seems like Huawei devices in general are known for this - a smattering of people have devices that are simply broken on wi-fi. Now, I haven't done extensive testing, so it may be the wi-fi devices in combination with the phone that are the problem. It isn't like I have tested this with all kinds of types of routers/bands. It certainly is strange, normally when a wi-fi signal is pooched you simply 404 or stop dead. The way my phone 'almost' loads sites makes it feel like an error checksum protocol spiraling out of control, choking the connection.
If I didn't have a lot of data with my plan, I would have attempted to return my phone.
