The system partition is read only from Android 10 and above. You can no longer modify system files from a root explorer. There may be already a solution somewhere but idk where...
Oh, that's unfortunate I'll just try to find a solution it's obviously not a life to death situation I'm just trying to change my boot animation

Well think I found an solution.
Some guy on discord helped me out by using some script I'll link the post

Solid Explorer is still working fine with Android 12. Majority of other Root Explorer apps no longer work, which used to work fine with earlier Android versions. I would advise to try Solid Explorer app.

I've been searching the web for how to root LG Optimus F3 for VM, I found nothing. I tried looking on how to root any Jellybean device all I got was a reboot and nothing. After upgrading from a Kyocera Event and having it root, I've missed all the features and it has just been one day. Can someone please share any information they have, on how possibly I can root my device.
Thanks!

I used link2sd in combination with this script http://androidforums.com/lg-optimus-f3/801368-mod-app2external_sd-fixed-duplicate-files.html Havent had an iussue with space since. There is a dev on the android forums working on the bootlocker and the kernel issues with reinstalling factory after recovery is rebooted.
I rooted my phone motochopper and I can't find any Roms for it. I get into ROM manager and I can't get any farther because my phone model isn't listed..what can I do?? I feel like I'm missing out because I can't get custom UI and all that. HELP PLEASE!

Ok so i am now rooted thanks to myself only got out dated answers this worked for me with my LG ls-720v7 (4.1.2 - jb)
First step download. SManager from market
Then get towleroot.apk link below
towelroot com/tr.apk
Then install the apk find it in your download directory but first make sure you allow unknown sources in settings_security after thats installed run it download su and busybox from market and then use root checker to see if you are now rooted.
O cant figure out how to swap internal with ext. Try this it also worked for me. Download Uni-init v1.0.apk from the market install it run it Click on Activate and allow with super user Click on Verify to make sure init.d is enabled Reboot your device Download any Root Browser you like from the play store or use smanager if you still have it Download 11extsd2internalsd from below
www mediafire com/view/8pwu65zzd10ow5z/11extsd2internalsd
copy it to your sd card Open Root Browser and copy 11extsd2internalsd and paste it /system/etc/init.d folder Hold click 11extsd2internalsd and set permissions and make sure everything is checked as far as Read, Write, and Execute. Open smanager and allow with root access Go to /system/etc/init.d and click on 11extsd2internalsd Click at the top where it has Su (lil android head) and Boot icons and hit save and then exit Reboot your device and your all done!

Did you install nut's dual recovery by chance? It has busybox included and if you try to install another busybox it screws up root. For SD card try this app, if you are still rooted and have superuser installed properly it should work.

What's nut's dual recovery?
I did try SDFix already, it doesn't work to me.
The purpose I need access permission is modify platform.xml for Titanium backup and mixer_paths.xml for volume boost headphone.
I heard about a custom rom can access permission mostly, is it true? If yes, I might try flash to custom rom.

If SD card fix doesn't work and gives you an error message. You don't have true root access.
I know because I faced this issue about a month ago, I was able to get superuser access just not edit files I know because I tried to edit the platform as well, so re-root your phone and install the dual recovery (optional?) if you make it that far, run kk fix it should work.
The volume boost is meh, you're better with viper4android

The root checker show **device have rooted**
I used Easyroot. Does your meaning use easyroot to re-root the phone again? Or get another tool? Any rooting tool suggestion.
Should I unroot from supersu before re-root?
Yes I know that.. Like I said I had the same issue, you may have root access but you don't have true root, so re-root your phone. It will fix the issue.
So again re root your phone.
And for me I did not uproot I just ran the root exploit and overwrited the old su
Great! I'll try to root again tonight.
BTW, is your device is XZU and root by Easyroot.
Thanks
Nah I have galaxy s2 but posting in xzu section. Yes I have Xperia Z ultra. And yes I did the easy Xperia root, plus I have dual recovery
IT WORK !
As you said re-root device again. Access permission available and Titanium backup to extsd.
Thanks all you guys input.

I made a guide for how to root the Sony Xperia Z3v. You may use Kingroot as you wish, but be advised that some unknown server is pulling data from your phone from wherever it may be.

I have TWRP install on my device, and I tried installing Magisk and SuperSU to root it, but neither would install. I don't want to say what my device is because I don't want answers based on my device. I've heard that rooting is all about getting a SU file into a root directory, and I want to try that before getting any other help with rooting my device.
TWRP has a root file explorer I can use to move files into root directories (I also tested it by moving one file into /system, restarting my phone into Android, then restarting it back to TWRP, with the file still being there), I guess the file wasn't being interfered with and stayed where and the way it was. To root my device, what files do I have to place in what root directories?

Bro the newest root methods patch the boot img of your phone placing files for root is deprecated and if magisk isn't patching your boot img on your device the issue is not with magisk a screenshot of what twrp shows when you try to flash magisk would help out and why would u want supersu its deprecated

Because Samsung, Google, Motorola and the other manufacturers do things differently, the steps for rooting will vary from one device to another.

I should've mentioned that I don't have much experience with tampering android (if I didn't make that clear with my lack of knowledge). I didn't know supersu is deprecated, I'm trying to root my Galaxy S8 950U on Pie, and yes I've heard it's extremely difficult / impossible although I did manage to get TWRP on it. Is there a way to root my device with the TWRP explorer, if possible?

The complexity of the previous root method suggests to me that you not going to find an easy solution.
I think you should start a thread in the

Hello to all...
After the last system update from pie to android 10(stock rom) I can't change system media folder to be writable, so I can change the lock/unlock sounds. I have tried to do that first with Es explorer, than with Root explorer and Fx explorer, but nothing helps. Also I have tried to find "Documents"(to enable) in App list in main settings but there is no "Documents" in list.
The phone is rooted and every file explorer that have I tried getting granted root permissions. In earier versions of miui I didn't had this kind of problem.
Is there anyone who knows how to solve this ?

Thanks for the reply but i don't think that problem is with any file explorer. Btw, I have tried X-plore, also.
Had the same problem and I've solved it by changing twrp to this unofficial twrp 3.3.1 beta08! After flashing this recovery boot to twrp and under mount, check system and vendor then reboot. Let me know if it worked.

Ok, before i do that... could it be solve from Magisk manager>Advanced settings>uncheck Preserve AVB 2.0/dm-verity ? I am on Magisk 20.2.
I remember that after flashing dfe zip those checks were cleared in magisk, I don't know if the zip does more. First try flashing that twrp, I think that will be enough.

Nothing was successful. First I flashed that TWRP from link. Than, after I tried, I also flash that zip through TWRP, but still can't paste files in system media folder.
For the information after flashed that zip, in Magisk advanced settings first two options was unchecked.
For now, I found that this is related to Android 10 changes.
did you go to twrp>mounts and check system and vendor, after flashing that version of twrp? was twrp beta08 the one you flashed? It worked for me, had the exact same problem after flashing 11.0.4

Sorry, Wizard8400 for my too quick response. It actually helped. But, for now only with Root Exporer, which is enough for me. And Root exporer does that change to r/w only once. With next operation it will be ask once again to change from r/o to r/w.
I didn't change anything in TWRP Mount section. Personally, I had thinking but didn't dare.
Thanks for everything !

Yes, I had that file explorer. Very good. And with some really useful option like some sort of shift/click similar options for multiple files checking.
I really like Es file explorer and until now I was satisfied.
