21.12.29 weekly (MIUI 13) is a fastboot rom, since there is no working custom recovery right now.
Magsik works flawlessly.
SOT seems also fine to me.
How did you install magisk without TWRP to flash the zip?

Via patched boot.img
You extract original boot.img from the rom and patch it within the Magsik app.
If you replace it and then run the fastboot install script, you are rooted right after installing MIUI 13. It's very convenient.

You don't have to open it. Just patch it in Magsik app.
Magisk > Install > Select and Patch a File > choose your boot.img
Copy the created magisk_patched_xxxxx.img back into the firmware folder, rename it to boot.img (keep the original one as backup) and run the update script.
Thanks.

Sorry I understand what you gave me.
I copy the boot.img to the downloads folder and follow the Magisk patch procedure, after that I transfer the file to the pc and run the fastboot boot command magisk_patched.img
I did and it worked, thank you very much for your help.
Gratitude.

The stylish thing about pall- grounded software is that it’s accessible anytime. The good news is that you can pierce a pall- grounded software from any device. Okay
Coming from MIUI 12.5 (a11) I did:
- downloaded MIUI 13 fastboot
- unzipped the file
- copied boot.img to my phone and patched with magisk
- copied the patched_boot.img back to the unzipped folder, deleting the original boot.img and renaming the new one to boot.img.
- ran the fastboot script to keep data, it failed the first time. Rebooted the phone and this time the fastboot looked different, orange letters.
- ran the script again, now it went through succesfully.
- clear the data/cache from the "permission" app, it was crashing the phone.
It is working well, and I didn't need to restore a backup!

Look into eu MIUI I Believe this version is for most Xiaomi devices is from MIUI eu page
I am now using this ROM since a week. Some apps fail to render the graphical interface, my navigation app sygic as example.
Or in opera mobile, some web applications like mobile-based games and maps are not rendering correctly.
Otherwise I am pretty happy with this ROM. I hope that the next build will fix it.

hello
I'm so confused.
Please help me how I'm going back to the stock (3.1.3) rom from Cm13 best way and safe.
Thank you
Download Oxygen OS 3.1.3 full ROM
Download MM based unofficial TWRP
Downloaded Modded SuperSU if you want root
You will require a PC with WinRAR & Notepad++, because as we are running custom ROMs the zipwill give an error 7 saying that The package is for OnePlus, this is an onyx, we need to remove that.
Don't worry, its super easy.
- Download the OOS3 zip, copy it to your PCs desktop
- Open it with winRAR, dont extract it, just open it
- There will be a META-INF folder, open it
- Then open com, then google, then android, there will be 2 files here, updater-binary & updater script
- Double click on updater-script
- It will ask which app to use to open the file, then select to open with Notepad++ (designate it from its installed directory if it isn't visible in the initial list)
- The file will look like this
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
- Delete the entire first line that starts with getprop
- Now it should look like this
- Now press Ctrl+S to save the file and close the window
- WinRAR will ask weather to update changes in the archive, say yes to that
- Let it finish its job
- Done !
Moving on the the flashing now...
Assuming you are using official TWRP with your CM13 now,
- Copy the modded OOS3 zip into your Device
- Boot into TWRP recovery
- Wipe system, data, cache & dalvik/art cache
- Flash the modified OOS3 zip
- Let it complete
- After it completes, press the wipe cache/dalvik button below
- Now reboot to system
- Complete the initial setup
- Goto settings, unlock developer options by tapping 7 times on build number in about phone
- Enable advanced reboot
- Then reboot to bootloader
- Flash the MM based unofficial TWRP via fastboot
- Remember to boot into this newly flash TWRP before booting into system so that it doesn't overwite it
- Done
Now you are on OOS 3.1.3, and have a working TWRP, you can proceed to flash SuperSU etc to gain root
thank you !

Actually, you want to update to 3.1.3, right ? Then you don't need to go back to OOS2 then again OOS3, the method i gave above will work as intended, its tried as tested by many users along with myself.
As for not requiring Root, just dont flash the SuperSU zip.
Keep the TWRP, its handy.
Also, press the thanks button on bottom left corner of my post, no necessary to say it in the reply.
I need to go back to stock rom for Exercise responsibility
thank you again
Hello,
I followed these instructions and It worked perfectly. (Note that I was coming from CM13)
Thanks a lot !
Thanks for the great description!
A question, just in case, I would go back again go to CM13 , can i then just import my old backup via the modified TWRP, or I have to note something again?
Thanks in advance!

can we use another rom instead of PixelExperience?
2 things:
1 - I seriously messed up my phone with that twrp. Although I was using a more recent version, I don't recommend it. Use redispade twrp instead
2 - You can and you should use another ROM. PE is dead. Just check vendor required and,if different from the one suggested by OP, flash it instead.

Fixed problem of not working touch!
Thanks to the efforts of mauronofrio , yuri-2016 and and my humble contribution, the TWRP 3.3.1 was made from scratch and a new method of Root was tested.

The phone should have USB debugging enabled and bootloader unlocked!
All your user data will be deleted during TWRP installation process!
Instructions
1. Download the following files:

Just bought a US version XT2010-1. Stock ROM Android 9 with newest security updates (just downloaded all of them). Build PPHS29.59-49-8. I unlocked the bootloader already
Can anyone confirm this process works and all phone functions will work (cell and WiFi) if I follow all the instructions as written?
To clarify, this is a brand new phone with stock firmware. The only changes I made were updating security patches and unlocking the bootloader. Haven't even set up Google account on phone yet.
Thanks

If you have problems with WiFi and mobile network after downloading to TWRP, install boot.img of stock firmware and then install TWRP-installer.
But there shouldn't actually be any such problems.
TWRP should fit all models.
TWRP isn't installed, it's loaded.

Sort of a noob. I've rooted 2 phones before but used a pre-made script on one and used TWRP on my Moto G4 with a custom ROM.
Where do I get stock boot.img if I need i?. I saw multiple posts on different forums about "extract the boot.img" but I don't know where to extract it from. Sorry to bother you. Thanks for your work on this.

From the archive of the stock firmware. The same firmware version that is currently installed on your phone.
Worked!
Followed all the instructions as written and BAM! I have TWRP recovery and rooted phone.
You da man. Thanks!!!
Finally the TWRP website has an official Recovery Page for Motorola One Zoom! https://twrp.me/motorola/motorolaonezoom.html
Hopefully soon we will see TWRP itself.
There is an official TWRP !!!
Fist let me thank you for helped me successfully rooted this phone before https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/what-is-the-easiest-and-safest-way-to-root-redmi-note-10.4359843
But now some of my bank applications just refuse to run and magisk hide doesn't help and my first objective to root is not needed anymore plus some more inconvenient things from bugs now I want to go back to official MIUI ROM how can i do that?
There are plenty of guides show how to Install the custom ROM but i can't find one about go back the original.
Unlike the last time now i known the basic of recovery, flash, fastboot etc
But i still don't know how to "Completely" go back to the original MIUI ROM but also want to keep the OrageFox recovery just the ROM.
Can i just download the MIUI ROM from here https://xiaomifirmwareupdater.com/miui/mojito/stable/V12.5.4.0.RKGMIXM/ and flash the .zip file normally? But what about Recovery/Fastboot type? The fastboot type is twice as big as the recovery type but it's not the zip format guess i don't need that and stick to recovery/zip format right?
And what is Frimware https://xiaomifirmwareupdater.com/firmware/mojito/stable/V12.5.5.0.RKGMIXM/ do i also need to flash this too?
I'm currently on OrangeFox recovery and Sakura ROM (https://projectsakura.xyz/download.html)
Thank you.
You can't flash recovery miui with twrp/orangefox... in order to reinstall the Stock ROM you must flash the Fastboot ROM through MiFlash Tool... Firmware is not needed.
1- Download this MiFlash version : MiFlash 20210226
2- Download the v12.5.4 Fastboot ROM from Xiaomi Firmware Updater and unzip it
3- Install Drivers if needed
4- Select "Clean All" as you don't want to lock the bootloader to keep OrangeFox and start flashing
5- Wait for MIUI Boot
6- Reboot to Fastboot and flash PE Recovery or boot TWRP
7- Flash OrangeFox Zip
8- Done , you have Stock MIUI with OrangeFox
i hope this can help you , Cheers

you must unzip the .tgz file and write the path to the ROM into the bar above... example : Desktop/RN10/mojito_global_12.5.4.....
Note : Don't use Clean all and lock otherwise your bootloader will be locked and you will have to unlock it again in order to flash another custom recovery

Now i'm just curios if this flash tool also clean my root folder or not since my root folder kinda mess from my trial and errors and it take up quite amount of disk space and my phone storage show as 29.1GB/128GB after clean flashed. But its not a big problem i can live with it.

bro...my device is running but i got no internet wifi,sim data isnot working.....how to flash this if u send me this....
can u give the boot.img file or full rom ?
I'm having the very same problem right now. I tried to root the device and everything worked well so far, but neither Wifi nor Bluetooth is getting activated. Changing to the other boot slot ended up in a boot loop back to fastboot.
@sadatkabir50 Where did you get the stock rom from or what was your approach to root the device?

Same problem. Everything working fine just Wi-Fi,camera,Bluetooth not working.
Which method did you use to root your device?
I'm following @halloweenm925's advice and downloaded the firmware for the EU version of the CPH2465 with a second device. How would you move forward if you had this file?
this boot img can boot ur phone but wifi and everything not working..
So I got the stock rom but neither the Wifi nor the Bluetooth is coming up. I'm kind of desperate right now. Can anybody support?

inbox me bro.. just now i fixed the problem
Solved the problem. Here is how I did it.
1) On a second Android phone, download the Oxygen Updater App
2) Open the app, set it to advanced settings, chose the device with the semi-bricked status, download the full zip
3) the zip file will be downloaded to sdcard's user root => transfer the zip file to your semi-bricked device
4) on your semi-bricked device, go to settings>updates, click on the top right three-point-menue and chose "local installation"
5) select the zip file and do the update
After the unpacking and verification is finished, reboot the phone and things should be back to normal.
If you want, you can now give the rooting a second try. There are a lot of tutorials, I used this one since I had the stock full rom:
Root OnePlus Nord CE 5G using Magisk [No TWRP Required]
Do you own a OnePlus Nord CE 5G android smartphone? If yes, today, we will share with you how you can Root OnePlus Nord CE 5G with the help of the Magisk
magiskapp.com
The full stock rom which is downloaded as described above needs to be extracted with the help of a script: as described here:
[LINUX][GUIDE] ROM Payload Image Dump
Now we have dumpers for Win/Mac/Linux! Great!
forum.xda-developers.com
So the steps to root the device would be
1) download the full rom as described above
2) extract the boot.img with the help of aforementioned python script
3) follow the steps as described in the tutorial linked above
I think what caused the initial issue on my side was that I simply was not on the same OS version on the device as the boot.img which I extracted from the full zip which is totally my own fault because almost every tutorial mentions it explicitly that you have to have the latest update on your to-be-rooted device AND make sure that you have the same ROM available to root your device.
Questions welcome!
