Hey all,
After doing the OTA update from verizon for droid razr max none of the apps that I could previously freeze/uninstall during the first leak can be frozen now. These include apps like mog video surf etc. I wanted to give out a heads up. Also, if anyone has any info on how to resume freezing the apps please let me know
if you go to manage apps, all, then pick the app you want to freeze, then tap uninstall updates, then you have the option to disable the app. i think this is as good a freezing. all of you disabled apps will be at the bottom of the all apps list. hope this helps.
Hello
Is there a way to know the history of updates for apps in googleplay?
Auto update of apps i trust is fine as long as i am able to know when they happened eg when troubleshooting new behaviuor
Thx!
You can install and run Trust.
It will log events such as app updates and you can later view when they happened.
Hi Dark3n,
This looks promising, I've installed it and also looking at your other apps.
An update of an app kicked in and it was effectivly recorded. Very good!
Thanks for sharing these apps
I am so sorry if I'm posting this in the wrong place, but this seemed correct to me. What I'm trying to do is create a small script freezes (disables) or defrosts (depending on the status) of specified apps. Or if it's easier one script to freeze the apps and one script to defrost the apps.
Preferably, I would like there to be a little icon on my phone that I can press, and it just runs the script. I don't need a notification pop up or anything, just a one-click solution to freeze apps. I've used several apps that can freeze apps, but most of them run ads, and I'm trying to de-bloat my phone. I am rooted if that makes a difference for the apps.
Even if someone could point me in the right direction of a good tutorial, I would be very grateful! I've tried searching google for some examples online, but I'm not finding anything other than apps I can install that does this for me.
Thank you to anyone who can help!
Hey Forum,
This has been really annoying, in regard to android 8.0. After it installs some of my apps dont work anymore. Case in point, I like to use the "Fancy Widgets" app. I know its old but it has
served well for me for a lot of years. This app functions perfect in Nougat, but stops keeping time in Oreo. Almost most all of the Zooper widgets fail to keep time or weather, in fact many of the time keeping apps I tried to DL from the play-store, simply dont keep time. I had to restore back to nougat 3 times now as Google keeps pushing Oreo at me. Again it has downloaded itself, even though I have turn off "Auto DL" in developer options, it stills DL. I'm not rooted at this time, probably wont on this phone. But would like to know why my widget dont work. Thank you for any help and I look forward to a solution from the experts.

Hi, I'm a new yota 3+ user and I had several questions about getting started. Now I just got my phone last week and I've noticed some things I think I'm doing wrong. The app drawer does not let me organize my apps into folders, unless I'm doing something wrong. Which brings me to my next question.
It looks like I have the initial yota 3 firmware. Meaning it has not been updated once. Are the updates generally positive? What features get added or removed? I'd really like to know, because I don't want to put anymore bloatware on my phone if it isn't necessary to do so. Speaking of which.....
I want to root my phone to get rid of the Google apps. Is there anyway for me to receive future updates if I choose to root my phone? I want to get rid of that ugly "search google" widget on the home screen as well. Does anyone know what future updates we might be seeing? This is all so new to me and I can really use any help I can get. I don't want to upgrade my phone if the updates are bad and then have no way of reverting. I also don't want to limit the use of the e ink screen anymore than it is.
Bottom line I want to remove the Google banner, Google bloatware, I want to be able to organize my apps drawer and root my phone so I can have access to more settings. I want to use this phone as an e reader so I'm going to find some apps that support the back screen! Any help is welcome thank you for reading!
