I have a Nokia 7.1 which I recently rooted and flashed with a custom rom.
But recently I have been facing a problem. Whenever I press play on any video in whatsapp, the video is just stuck at 0 seconds and does not move. This does not seem to be the case for other apps like YouTube and Netflix, both seem to work.
The rom I have, came with gapps flashed.
Is it whatsapp that is creating the problem or the rom? Does anyone have a solution to this?

I also flashed the kernel posted at the end of the thread given above as I read that it fixed an issue with Bluetooth.

Hello All,
After flashing into whitecookie MIUI 1.10.8 I noticed that i'm having problems with my camera.
When I try to use my barcode scanner program, the screen is scrambled. When i put it in camera mode, it works fine, but I cannot zoom in or zoom out. When I put it in video mode, it seems fine until I press the record button. Once the record button was pressed, the screen turned white. When I stop recording, the screen turn back to normal, but the recorded file cannot be played.
I tried to fix it by going into manage program/ camera/ and clear data, I also turned on the compatibility mode. I then boot in to xrecovery, clear dalvik and fix permission. All these did not help at all.
Please help, any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thank you all very much!
have u stated this problem on the forum from where u downloaded and did u PM the developer who developed this Rom with ur problem ... and in my view there are still some Miui roms which has this problem so better check out before installing and state ur problem to the developer also !!

Hi, I´m in desperete need of help!!
About 4 weeks ago I rooted my device for the first time, I choose CM9 but it did not take long until I noticed that MIUI is the rom I want. Like 2 weeks ago I changed to MIUI v4 "SGS2-2.5.4" and I like it. The only problem that I´ve encountered [so far] is that my spotify is not working & it used to work on CM9. I installed the new Spotify beta but still nothing. I am able to logg in, I can search for music, add playlists etc, the issue is that im not able to play any music, its like the play button does not exist.
I´ve been searching for almost a week now without any luck, went to diffrent type of forums, asked friends and no anwser to be found. Ive tried re-installing my rom and wipeing data / catche and dalvik still notihing. (not necessarily in that order)
Anybody out there with problems similar to mine ? Thanks

I flashed another kernel and ROM, everything from this topic, step by step (including all aditional apps). I'm on locked BL and I used *v06-1113 [medium OVERCLOCK VERSION] kernel (the weird thing is that my device is not OC-ed, it says 998 MHz in ROM toolbox).
Everything works fine and I love this ROM but I have just one but big problem; Spotify app doesn't work anymore. It worked like a charm on stock kernel & ROM but here nothing. I can listen to 2-3 songs (sometimes only one) and after changing track or seeking through tracks the sound just dissapear. I can see the track's playing but no sound. When this occurs, there's no audio on player as well and If I press volume up or down key, my device freezes (get stucked) and doesn't respond on any key or screen so I have to pull out the battery. Seems like audio driver crashed, but I don't get any error.
I tried rebooting the phone, installing spotify app again etc. but nothing. It was working fine on stock ROM and kernel. I want to upgrade to Spotify Premium but I have to fix this before so please, help me. Do I have to use another ROM/Kernel or it can be fixed?
The only thing that comes to my mind are problems during flashing kernel. I tried 2-3 times and always got Installation aborted but when I gave up and rebooted the phone, the Kernel was magically installed (I got another logo and I saw in Settings > About that this Kernel is installed).

on my Ray Adrian's 'lineage-14.1-20170514-UNOFFICIAL-LegacyXperia-urushi.zip' ROM runs not that stable.
In a time frame of about 5 to 8 hours there always is a sudden crash even when you don't touch the phone. It restarts after the crash automatically.
My question:
How can I find the log files and what else can I do to find out the reason for this crash?
Or did you make the same experiences with this version cm14 so that I have to accept it to be 'normal'?
I have GAPPS installed as well.
I presently assume that it should be caused by any background service of my ~35 downloaded apps...

Hi guys, I'm going crazy with my Redmi 5 plus cameras. Since I switched to ROM stock or always had problems with the camera as green artifacts appear (always with photos from whatsapp, and with some ROMs mod). I tried to enable camapapi but nothing to do.
Someone suggested to me that the problems stemmed from the enabled cam2api, but finding no reference in build.prop as a last attempt I returned the phone to its original state with rom global v10.2.3.0 to then reflash the Syberia rom. But the problems with whatsapp photos persist ...
Please help me ...
Are you using camera2api?
