MIPAD 4 wifi problem (ZTE F609 router) - Xiaomi Mi Pad 4 Questions & Answers

I recently change my wifi router cause the old one died. this new router (ZTE f609) is okay, all my device can connect to this. EXCEPT my mipad 4. it can't find and connect to it, always say it is out of range. and fyi, my mipad 4 can connect finely with my old router. i've been trying to find the solution but can't seem to find any, trying to flash another rom for mipad 4 and not fixing anything. i've been trying to change channel of my router (my router has 11 channel, and been trying all of them) but still not working.
and another info, my mipad 4 can still connect to my mobile tether connection. and my mipad 4 can also find the wifi of my neighbor. so i'm kinda lost to how fix this.
and for another info, my mipad 4 is the wifi only version
is there a fix for this ?

[Q] Strange wifi problem

I just got my prime and immediately ran into some strange problem with the wifi, i get quite good connection to my neighbours wifi but my own does not even show up in the list.
My router is a dlink dir615 and all my other devices can find it without trouble.
Anyone know on what side the problem is, router or prime?

Where did you buy your Prime and what channel is your router currently on?
I bought my trannyprime in sweden from the online store 'cdon', it came with android 4.03 installed.
I think my router is set on channel 13.

[Q] wifi only connects to a very very strong signal

Hi,
I hope you can give me some advice on this strange problem.
I have a Asus MeMO Pad 8 (2014) (8 inch), ME181C tablet running KitKat 4.4.2
This tablet will only connect to a wifi router if the tablet is actually physically touching the router. When connected like this I have internet connectivity but if I move more that 48 inches from the router then I lose internet connectivity but the wifi remains connected, but is prone to disconnecting. Once disconnected it will not reconnect unless I touch the router with the tablet. I have access to 4 different routers and the situation is the same with all of then except that with one I can move 48 inches away but other a matter of 12 inches is enough to lose connectivity and ultimately the wifi connection drops.
The tablet can see all the surrounding networks and the signal strengths.
The wifi was working normally when I first got it a few months ago and the problem started after I did an over the air update. I have performed a factory reset twice to no effect. I rooted the tablet so that I could modify the system files and have followed many guides but to no avail. I had hoped that there was a setting somewhere that controlled how weak a wifi signal could be before it was ignored by the system as it seemed that the "avoided poor wifi AP" feature might be responsible but was not able to find anything..
Needless the say the wifi is almost useless and currently use Bluetooth access points, (ecodriod on a Raspberry Pi), to connect to the internet.
Grateful for any help advice on the issue, Thanks
I got same problem with my SS Galaxy S3 Korean LTE today. This morning I can use it ... then when I used it in the afternoon, I cant connect to internet anymore if I stay where closed to the router, with the signal very strong.
I think there was setting issue on your phone's wifi
Go to settings then wifi the go to wifi advanced settings there was an option (avoid poor connection) untick that
I think this will help you

5Ghz Wi-Fi Problem. Doesn't Detect Band.

Hello guys, I have 2 smartphones which are ''Samsung Galaxy Grand 2'' and ''Nokia 5''. Both of them supports 5Ghz Wi-Fi band. My router is ''Tp-Link Archer c50''.
The problem is both of my phone doesn't detect the 5Ghz band at all. There is no problem in the router. Laptops works well with it. I took the router back to the shop from where i bought it, they found out it's working with there smartphones (don't know the model though).
It's Good to say that my router only supports channel 36, 40, 44 and 48 of 5Ghz band.
I tested my mobiles channels by connecting each other via Hotspot and found out that they are always using channel 153. So i thought it was the problem. I also asked for support from Tp-link and Nokia's online care but they failed to help me out.
Now few days ago for some reason i installed cm 14.1 rom in my Grand 2 and there i found out that it's detecting 5GHz band but whenever i tried to connect the rom kept crashing. Anyway for whatever the reason i installed that rom didn't worked out for me so i got back to stock rom.
There i found out my Grand 2 is detecting the 5Ghz band in stock rom which never happened before. It was working well but after few hours it disappeared. From then after few hours mobiles battery got empty and it shut down. After charging i switched on the mobile and found out that its detecting again but after few hours it disappeared again. I restarted the mobile but this time and from then i didn't seeing the 5Ghz band anymore.
So, can anyone tell what's the problem!!!!???

OnePlus 7T Pro - wifi stability issues

Hi,
I have a new OnePlus 7T Pro (version 10.1.4.HD01BA) and I'm having wifi stability issues.
The wifi has micro-disconections which impact any application which needs a stable connection (ex: online games, file transfers)
The symptom is a short disconnection from the wifi network: the wifi icon on the top briefly shows a "!" to indicate the disconnection; then everything comes back to normal).
From what I gathrered from different tests, the disconnects only occurs when using wifi on a mesh network (e.g. Orbi) or multi-channel wifi router.
I have no stability issues when using 4G connection.
I also tested 2 different mesh networks, the OP7TPro Wifi is unstable.
When testing on a simple channel access point (ex: another android phone), the wifi connection is stable.
On the mesh networks which give me stability issues, my older OnePlus5 does not experience any specific problems.
I tried to wipe my phone to factory defaults but the problem persists.
How can I find out if this is related to a software issue or if my device is faulty ?
Thanks,
Hello, I realize, this thread is almost a year old. I bought this phone and I'm having the same issue!
It seems that it maybe is related to bluetooth being turned on.
Have you somehow solved this problem? I read many complaints over the net when googling, but all the suggested solutions don't solve the problem completely, the drops still occur.
The problem has been known for years and occurs not only in the OnePlus 7 phones. When we connect to WiFi 2.4GHz and turn on bluetooth, WiFi transfer decreases drastically, the solution is to connect via WiFi 5GHz if our router allows it. If not, only the mobile network remains.
Well, that's a pity, thanks for your answer.
I also noticed, that the bluetooth range is really poor with my bluetooth headphones in comparison to my previous LG V30.

Use 20Mhz channel on your router instead of 40Mhz, that should solve the throttle in speed issue on 2.4Ghz band

I first faced this trouble in my oneplua 6, so your point about this being a oneplus 7 series problem is wrong

5Ghz Wifi not detecting

Hi,
I just got a new realme 7, and when i search for my wi-fi network it doesnt show de 5ghz, only the 2.4ghz.
I dont have any problem detecting the 5ghz on the PC and others mobile phones.
My router have the wifi 5ghz on the channel 149, so that shouldnt be a problem.
This has already happened to someone??
Best regards,
Rui Pinto

Hi, it might be that the 5 GHz Band you selected is banned in the country you are right now. Your PC or your other phones might not use this new and annoying feature but your realme 7 does. Try to google which bands are allowed in your country and set your router accordingly.
I had the same problem before with a router I bought in Germany and my phone connected just fine there. Then I brought the router to Indonesia and the same phone suddenly could not see my router anymore. Reason was that my router was set to auto-channel selection and in Indonesia only 4 channels are legal. After choosing manually one of the 4 channels it worked fine again.
Hope this helps
