The website has instructions, it is in Russian but you can use Chrome for example to translate it easily to English. Yes, your box will be updated to Android 9 and have root access.

atvX FW comes pre-rooted, install instructions (common for all Amlogic based boxes) can be found in their forum...

I received this box today and i'm setting it up as a replacement for a mediacenter.
nova launcher,
ttorrent,
kodi,
teamviewer host
more apps installing as we speak
But now my deal-breaker issue is that torrent clients (flud, ttorrent) cannot write to SATA (mounted as external device).
However ES Explorer and the built-in explorer can create folders there.
Ideas? I'm about to flash the ezupdate root from Tronsmart..

Try to search "super U" on play store, this is similar to most of android device.

You may need a HUB, but I think 2 USB port is enough, try flash with sdcard

1. In most of the boxes you can see Netflix only in Standard Definition (not Full HD or 4K). Only in some certified boxes (like Mi Box s, Amazon Firestick etc) you can see Netflix in Full HD or 4K.
But you can install coreelec to an sd card and from there have Netflix in HD. You can make Vontar dual boot (first to coreelec and then if you want reboot to Nand-Android).
2. So if you want to pass "CTS profile" in Safety Net of Magisk just to use it for Netflix, you actually don't need it for that. You will still get Netflix in Standard Definition. If you want it for another purpose than I can tell you some things you can try in my rom.
hello, i searched all the net but unfortunately i didn't find any viable solution to fix the wifi problem on x96 mini
I have 2 x96 mini and both have the same wifi problem
I have tested all possible roms, the most stable is atvxperience but the problem remains, unstable wifi and poor quality that makes the box unusable in wifi
If someone has a solution I'm interested, for example to change directly on the box the N standard in b or g

You probably have an s905w device, if it came with android 6 or 7 then its deffo newer than s905 (non X)

Hi there
I bought X96Q box without warranty, supposed to be 4gb\16gb, allwinner h313, android 11, but turned out to be fake box with soc amlogic s905w, with android7.1 rooted (fake android11), I tried to flash it with different firmwares but it is stuck on blue light, the usb flashtool recognizes it but nothing responds, I tested all the methods on the forums without success
please is there a solution thank you

not exactly the same, this one has only 2 chips, I saw on another forum the same motherboard but with s905L-3B which bears the name x96mini... total confusion, I think that even the inscriptions on the electronic components are fake
