Don't rely on benchmark. It's the day to day use that matters. There's a lot of good roms that you can check in the forums. Personally im using pixel experience 12L.

At the end of the day, all the roms are based on same trees, so more or less theyre all the same. Some roms have a bit more optimized some components than others, but +- all the same.

[Q] Recent kernel testing benchmarks

Hello everyone,
I've been looking for recent benchmark tests over Android Kernels to choose the best one for me. I wonder a comparison specially between Siyah, Franco and Phenomenal. Actually I am open for kernel advises and recommendations.
Just to know I am looking for kernels which provides a nice handling processes for power safe but also a good performance when I need it...

Test them and you will see, does take you 2 minutes to flash you a kernel though

Sure I'll test them all.
I'd like to receive recommendations about people which already uses. I saw that most of people uses Siyah, like you, do you like it? What are your insights about Siyah?
For my phone and my environment it works well. For yours I do not know .

Is it worth to use CM on our S3?

Hey guys,
since i'm an owner of an S3 i tried a LOT of CM rom's.
There a lot i like, but sometimes it feels a bit like a "different" phone, e.g. some features are missing etc.
So, im thinking about to switch to an modded stock rom for a great performance and huge batterylife..
Or is CM the best way for performance and battery?
thanks guys.

Stock touchwiz roms generally have better battery performance, even with custom kernels in my opinion. Its all about how you want it to look, feel, perform and last but you cannot have 100% on all, so you have to mke sacrifices for the features that mean most to you. There is no "Best ROM"
Yeah i know that there's no "best ROM"
I'm currently not sure.. CM or a modified stock ROM, both have their advantages i know, but i feel that the CM rom's having a higher battery drain... but i dont know about the performance on stock i guess CM is a bit better on the performance?!

Just flashed rootbox... well, i dont like the iconcolors and the batterycolors are a bit different :/
The icons are standard jellybean blue but you can change them to what you want in hybrid settings
Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk 2
it feels a bit brighter on the wifi/signal and darker on the battery... but i cant change the battery colors?!
ask in the RootBox support thread
Rootbox settings > PAC battery colours

Best AOSP based on stock kernel/rom for the Kenzo?

What is the best AOSP ROM based on stock sources for the Kenzo? I don't mind having lollipop but would like the option of a clean ROM with the least amount of bugs.

Upon doing a bit of digging this F-Droid rom looks tasty also! http://forum.xda-developers.com/redmi-note-3/development/kenzo-f-rom-v1-t3374617
I am not pushed about having M , Lollipop will do as long as it is a good non bloated ROM based on Pure android with little to no bugs I am good to go with all the bells and whistles working such as fingerprint sensor, infrared etc.
If there are any decent MIUI apps they can alwats be backed up and reinstalled.
Benchmarks should be more than stock, I was getting 50,000+ antutu with my 1.8ghz atom 16gb 2gb zenfone 2 , I wan't 80,000.
I'm using krexus, it makes other ROMs feels like full of bloat

Help me find Mido ROM stable and performance for gaming.

I am a hard gamer.
I dont really have time to try each rom which is the best, so I need your experience guys about which ROM that have the most stability and performance for gaming?
I dont need features, beautify the UI or etc.
All I care is super slim, simple, stability and performance.
I think this question will be frequently asked with Mido user who bought this phone because of its performance for gaming. We all know this is the most budget phone but very good performance both cpu and graphics.
And if anyone using tweaks like Ultimate Performance, Govtuner, or L Speed or even GLtools to improve the performance. Tell us here.
Thank you.
I am also waiting for custom kernel coz me also a hard gamer
maybe this is not the right phone being a hardcore gamer?
try slim rom

I didn't say it was a "gaming rom". But there are people that use it for that because of the performance. Its spoken highly of in that regard

In my experience you can definitely feel a difference between roms. Some are more smooth, some styles are more efficient for how i use my phone. There are factors to consider when choosing a rom. And I've seen a lot about gaming and corvus so that was my recommendation. Are you saying he shouldn't care what rom he plays games on because they are basically the same?

all roms use the same kernel so performance shouldn't change drastically. So he should choose a rom according to his tastes, not performance ... for that we have to wait for the custom kernels
All roms use the same kernel?

all roms use same kernel no difference in performance (there is no "best rom")
Maybe one did.
MIUI has some turbo mod in the settings.
It could run the processor in peak performance mode.
So try this.
Actually, first, please define "Gaming ROM", since you're not even clearly understanding what is Gaming ROM, how can u ask for it? Besides, @alonsoj636 was right in one thing, whatever ROM u use, still sharing the same kernel ( until we have Custom Kernel too ), hence, the performance would be slightly different. But one thing that some ROM does have is Boosting Touch Sampling Rate, and that function does help your gaming experience more smoothly.
I am looking for something similar i don't why but the pubg performance in miui 12 is very bad i have 4,64 variant but frame drops are very annoying i guess the sd 678 is not yet optimised for gaming considering its a fairly new chipset introduced in phones

Yes , is new ... But the SD 678 is a low-end chipset is not meant for gaming... go for the 732G or better if u want decent gaming experience
Yes , MIUI still is very heavy for this device ... need optimization
