Question Driving App starting whenever I enable Bluetooth - Google Pixel 6

Hi Guys,
I had no problem until recently, I have this issue that whenever I enable Bluetooth on my Pixel 6 the Driving app kicks in automatically. I don't have any bt devices connected nor I recall touching any settings to have that enabled.
Does anyone know how to disable this?

That is a good advice
You know what? I had no such item in the menu before I searched for it, but after disabling all automation it still launches Driving app

Hmmm. Weird, mine stopped doing that. Maybe, it's Bluetooth triggerd or, alternatively, by something running in the background, for example, Waze?

Found the culprit - it was an internet radio app which was forcing that behavior. That's a bit crazy because I had not granted any permissions to that app, yet it triggered another mode

Go to setting>search "android system" on the search bar > select "android system" saying " app info " at the bottom" > select "notification" under android system > make it unchecked the " car mode"> now it is done.

Just replying here since I have the same problem and wanted to say DO NOT DO THIS!
I made this mistake a day or two ago. The problem is driving mode is still enabled even if the notification is gone, which disables tap to wake and the screen timeout stuff. The only way to fix it is to hit the notification to close whatever app it is or find the app (which I've been this far unsuccessful in doing.)

Found the app that keeps turning on CarMode.
Here is how, you need install adb and turn on develop mode.
Turn off bluetooth and driving mode
adb logcat|grep -i handleCarModeChange
When driving mode appears, click notification to disable it.
You will see
Telecom : InCallController: handleCarModeChange: packageName=com.radiolight.japon, priority=0, isCarMode=true: [email protected]
Telecom : InCallController: handleCarModeChange: not a valid InCallService; packageName=com.radiolight.japon: [email protected]

For me, uninstall com.radiolight.japon (Radioworld FM) fixed everything.

NP man worked the first time for me but glad it ended up working
I am also having this issue. I have it rooted, unlocked. never set up GW prior to this (as it's no longer supported and I JUST got the phone yestrday).
In settings, it is checked. when I attempt to uncheck it, the item greys out, but the circle is still checked. if I leave settings and come back in, it is back to solid black and checked...
I am trying to use an app to read my work's access card (just for the hell of it).
nvm. I rebooted while in the menu with the item greyed out, and it was greyed out once more.

how to remove incoming call with voice promts!!!

whenever I get an incoming call with caller ID, a lady's voice would voice prompt who is calling and it's so loud!!!
I just switched from S4 to S5. I remembered it did the same thing on my S4 when I first got it but I was able to quickly disable it. But with the S5, I tried and tried and couldn't find a solution. I'm not in driving mode FYI...
Any idea??? Thansks!

Did you install any app that requires access to "Accessibility"?
Some apps like Tasker requires you to enable accessibility and you will get a prompt that says "If you enable accessibility for that app, you won't be able to use talkback, air view.... etc...."
I remember that back in S4, it caused problems and made talkback becomes active from time to time even when it was unchecked due to a bug.
I don't know if you did change accessibility or not but just wanted to mention that.

"Ok Google" detection on any screen and Audio History gone on Nexus 5 settings

"Ok Google" detection on any screen and Audio History gone on Nexus 5 settings
Hello
I'm having the weirdest problem. My Audio History and the ability to detect the "Ok Google" hot-words is gone from my Nexus 5.
This is how my "Voice" settings look now:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
The Audio History isn't there anymore.
And this is my " 'Ok Google' Detection " settings:
The option to have the phone listening on any screen or while locked and the Voice Model settings are gone.
Could you guys help me to correct this? I was a heavy user of the "Ok Google from any screen" feature.
I've already tried doing a hard reset, my primary language has always been set to English (US) and I'm running the latest version of Android and the Google Apps on my Nexus 5.
This is the first time I'm encountering a problem that doesn't seem to be affecting others. Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you.
Could this be a decision server side? As if someone had flipped a switch in Google, and as a result I no longer have these setting options?
Thank you.
It's very weird: my settings look like Google Search app settings before the 3.5.14 update, but I'm on 3.6+ Google Search and still no Audio History nor Voice model setting.
Help please

Unfortunately, I already tried that: the first screen cap in my first message is that exact menu.
I tried to contact Google through the feedback feature, but no response so far.
Since nobody seems to know how to fix this, would you guys know how i could contact Google about this issue beside through the feedback option on the app?
Thanks

Help please
Any Googler on the forum know what this could be due to?

I just installed the Lollipop preview, but the exact same problem persists

Tasker Users any ?

Anyone using Tasker here for Moto E Successfully ? I am new to it, created profiles successfully but tasker says none of the profiles are active. If anyone can tell me where I am doing wrong.
I think, tasker is not active in accessibility. Go to Settings>accessibility>tasker and turn on tasker.

Hi, tasker was active. But even after that it showed no profiles are active and when I turned it on. And while executing some actions using secure settings I was getting error as well.
Tasker is working very well on my rooted moto e stock lollipop. Search and read any tasker tutorial on internet.

To turn on/off data; use Toggle data5.0 plugin but it needs root privilege. It's free version is available on XDA.
Seems its a bug. Its functioning properly.. Except for the fact data cant be turned off directly by secure settings plugin. Have to use command prompt.
Can you tell me how to create a tasker profile by which I can turn data on off only when wifi is turned off ? Say if wifi is on Data shouldnt be switched on or off. Only wifi state should be changed.

Question Android keeps turning on "Do not disturb" while driving

Hi everyone!
Since the last Android update on my Pixel 6, "Do not disturb" keeps turning on every time I get into my car. I have repeatedly disabled it, only for it to come back on by itself. I've checked my Sync settings and I can't find anything that would be turning this on. I have deleted the Driving Mode in Schedules repeatedly and I have also tried leaving it in Schedules, but disabled.
Any thoughts or suggestions?
Thanks!

This tells me how to turn it on.... how do I stop it from turning on? I keep deleting the rule, but it automatically adds it again without asking me.
