Need Ulefone Power Armor 13 Engineer Mode Audio Levels - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I'm new to this forum. Please let me know if I am doing something wrong. On my Ulefone power armor 13 phone, the volume from the handset was very low. I opened engineer mode by dialing *#*#3646633#*#*. I changed the sound levels. But I didn't know exactly which setting I changed. That's why I need default settings right now. I can't reset my phone because it has too much data and I'm not in a position to back it up yet. I need someone using this phone to share all sound levels as screenshots or text. Thank you in advance.

Hey, I have the same issue of quiet headset. I have to keep saying "WHAT? Can you please repeat" Loool it's not that often, but happens sometimes. I had it with my Doogee S90 too. But I don't remember how I fixed it lol.
What screen you wanna see I will be happy to share.
Btw, I think the right thing would be using Viper Magisk module. But, I haven't tried it myself.

This is the Audio and voice settings.

Yes, that's what I'm talking about. But I need all the settings. For example, if we take the first picture you took, I need all the settings after clicking the "system" tab. And the same things need to be done for the other tab "bt a2dp". I want something very challenging but I really need it. Because my headset was too low. I increased all the levels as I don't know which setting fixed it. Now headset is fine. But this time other audio-requiring things like audio recording and video recording got worse. I am on a business trip. That's why I haven't taken the phone with me right now. If I solve this problem, I will start using it again. It has incredible battery performance and that's what I really need. Thanks again for your help.

Anyway to fix ringer ascending issue?

Basically when I get a call, my ringtone starts quietly, and quickly increases the volume to max. (max being whatever you set as your ring volume.)
Does this happen on all of our phones? This was not an issue with my G1 AFAIRemember.
Thanks guys!
Its not a bug, its a feature. However I do agree there needs to be toggle options for a lot of little things on this phone, ie: battery notifications.
So as of right now, no. We'll just have to hope Samsung throws a lot of changes into their Froyo update...
All Samsung phones at least 4 which I had this feature so don't worry !

How exactly is this an issue ???? this is the 3rd or 4th thread I seen about this feature.... please explain .,.,,.,.,.,
I did search before I posted, I just did not see any relevant threads.
This is an issue because I personally dislike having this "feature". It was not a problem on my G1, and almost every other phone that I've used has it as a ringer option.
I checked all the service menu's hoping to find something relevant, to no avail lol.
Here's hoping CM fixes this =)

It is, for the most part a Samsung Thing. On all of the older samsung phones, The Ringer speaker was also the Ear piece Speaker. As well as the Speaker phone speaker.
That was done so when you put the phone to your ear and say an incoming call beats your out going call (Happens to me sometimes) The ringer does not damage your hearing.
the only work around for this so far is just to edit the ringtone and insert a few seconds of silence (2-3) in the beginning and then have the ringtone play out normally
Thanks for the info guys. I will try adding a few seconds of extra sound to the front of my ringtones for now.
Maybe this will be fixed with a proper CyanMod lol
I guess that gets rid of the fade-in, but it makes even less sense than before. Not really a practical solution to anything (not trying to flame). You're just going from your ringtone fading in, to not even hearing your phone ring for a few seconds.
I mean unless you like the first 2 seconds of your ringtone THAT much.
That's an annoying feature regardless.

[Q] Ringer volume changing on its own

already found discusion about this issue in here about one year ago,but no solution...anyone else having the same problem: ringtone volume decreasing itself??
have no any app.related with system volume, and my evo is no rooted, original latest ROM ..
thank you
Just to be sure... Theres a function under sound settings that will decrease ring volume when you pick/move the phone. If you are aware of that, then someone else hopefully will help.
no,is not the issue...no matterif is on or off, volume still mixed up and changing itselfs
Does it happen even when you reset phone to factory default settings without installing anything? Maybe some app is messing with it. Please link me to thread that you've found about that issue.

Thats really weird. You should send it to warranty service and ask to investigate issue as it seems to be factory defect. If its OS fault somehow, you can always wait for ICS update and see if it works properly after Im curious about that.
I have a similar issue and I suspect it's the same as yours. I just chose to ignore it though... What I've noticed is sometimes when pressing the volume buttons on the side to increase the ringer volume, it might automatically jump to the maximum volume without anything in between. When it does this, it will briefly act as if it's at max volume. But then go back to being just increased by one level instead. If it makes the in between adjustments on it's way to max volume, then the volume won't "change" on me magically. It is a bug, but not sure why it's there. I've seen this happen on I think every ROM I've tried (which is a handful) and the stock one.
Now in terms of MEDIA volume being different across the board. I haven't really figured this works quite yet, but it seems like media volume is remembered between activities/apps. Volume for my music is always different than the volume of videos I'm watching on a website with the flash player and different than the volume for playing games. This I feel is a feature more than a bug and am happy to have it.
I hope this sheds some light to your problem. I know it's no solution, but might help you identify what's happening to see when the volume does change.
Thats what I thought...just will try to set max.volume in every posible app. and players

Im not using that app...just check system volume settings and ringer level volume is the same as notification volume ..same when you tick :use incoming call volume for notifications..but I didnt...looks like system ignoring separatelly settings for both volumes and using same level no matter if you choose this option..

[Q] Atrix sound issue

Hi, I am using the very wonderful MROM 7.2 on my Atrix and loving it except for one really annoying problem. I have searched the forum and can't seem to find anything similar so I would really appreciate some help please.
Basically, if I put the phone on charge (either dock or USB) the sound switches off completely. A phone that won't ring is not the most useful device!
I have tried;
Rebooting- sometimes helps, sometimes doesn't
Checking the sound on all my apps- made no difference
Rebooting into recovery and reflashing addons- made no difference
Rebooting into recovery and clearing caches- made no difference
Unfortunately, this seems to be the worst sort of problem; it is intermittent and I never know when the phone has done it. Can anyone please advise?
Thanks in advance
have you checked the hmdi audio output option in settings when you don't have sound?
somewhere in settings - advanced i believe

Thanks for the idea. Yes, I had checked that but I think I may have a solution.
In exasperation I slammed it down on the desk and the damned thing started to work! Looking like a hardware fail so I have ordered a new ribbon cable and will see how that goes.
I appreciate you taking the time the answer though.
Cheers!

Speaker diagnosis test Failed

I bought Xperia x a few weeks ago and I found audio output through loudspeaker is less compared to other phones out there. So I contacted sony care online and they told me to do speaker diagnosis test available in settings app. While testing I wasn't able to hear anything from speaker. Does that mean that my loud speaker has problem? Can anyone out there check and confirm that diagnosis test works well or not for you?
I tested this from diagnostic app in settings and I could hear both speakers.
Yes, both speaker should work (assuming your volume level >0). I am afraid you must return your phone.
I would respectably disregard the previous suggestion to return your phone as this appears to be an issue with Sony's app and nothing at all to do with the stability of the hardware itself.
When I first ran the diagnostics, all tests except the proximity sensor passed; including both speaker tests. I restarted the phone, reran the test, and the proximity sensor test passed without further troubleshooting. Unfortunately this time both speaker tests decided to randomly fail? I called my voicemail and the earphone speaker worked without issue, so I then turned on the loud speaker and it also appeared to work just fine.
I did this a couple more times and got the same results so I decided to troubleshoot the issue a bit further, and what I found was that Sony's app appears to wrap around built in diagnostics commands; which are the same commands that can be accessed and/or ran via the "Service Menu". After running both speaker tests from the Service Menu, I can confirm that the "real" diagnostics commands work just fine and sounds could be heard during both tests.
Please follow the steps below and see if manually running the diagnostics commands via the "Service Menu" produces different results then those provided by the Sony Support app.
1. Turn your volume up!
2. Dial *#*#7378423#*#*
3. Select "Service tests"
4. Select "Speaker" and listen for sound
5. Select "Earphone", then place the phone to your ear and listen for sound
If steps 4 & 5 play a sound, rest assured that your hardware is functioning just fine and a replacement WILL NOT BE NEEDED. If you are still unable to hear anything then keep on reading as the solution for me was literally nothing more then changing my ringtone back to a default tone.
There was only one variable that made sense here which was that I had changed my ringtone to a custom file stored on my SD card just before restarting my phone after the first test. So instead of assuming it was hardware related, right from the start my assumption was that the Sony Support app has a bug and could not properly link to ringtones that are stored outside of the default system location. I was able to verify this by changing my ringtone back to the default tone and re-running the Sony diagnostics and confirming that both tests produced sound just fine. Now if you still cannot get sound then I would suggest contacting Sony support to inquire further. If a replacement is actually needed, they will let you know.
Now...with regards to the rushed suggestion to replace your device...I feel I must comment towards such a ridiculously rushed conclusion...
Simply put, it's not right to send people on a wild goose chase without first taking the time to test things out for yourself... even a tiny lil itsty bit? Personally, I know I'd be pissed right off if I found out that I sent in my phone without there actually being a problem with it, and whether you realized it or not,, that is actually the least of the potential consequences? You really should have considered that some people might have to pay to ship it, and others might have to drive an hour or two to get to the nearest repair centre? So maybe...just maybe...even the simplest of suggestions like "restart your phone" or "ask google!", prior to suggesting that someone should replace it, would have proven to be infinitely more useful? I hate to be rude, and I get that you were just trying to help, but if you don't want to spend any time at all to test anything out for yourself, then maybe it is best to not comment on the issue in the first place? Just simply let them wait for someone who is...
This is just my two cents, but I firmly believe that no advice is better then bad advice...
EDIT:
Model: XA2 Ultra (H3223)
Build: 50.1.A.13.83 (Stock Rom)
Sony Support Version: 4.2.10
So I found 2 other issue with Sony's diagnostics tests.
1. When you run the wifi test it will pass, but it will leave your wifi disabled afterwards and it will not allow it to be turned back on until the phone is restarted. Manual testing worked just fine.
2. When you run the ambient light test, the image provided by Sony will show, but it will already be faded while under normal light conditions. It will work while under a bright light, but it does not function correctly under normal conditions. Manual testing works just fine.

Notification Volume Too Low

Is it just me or are the notifications all too quiet? the main default alert as well as individual app notifications all seem way too quiet, I can hardly hear them. I've even just factory reset it and it's still the same, anybody got any advice? please?
May be obvious but have you tried turning the notification volume up?
Trust me, I have checked, rechecked, triple checked and even factory reset the phone 3 times all with the same result. The sounds sound fine while selecting them in the respective app settings but as soon as the notification is triggered it's like the speakers are covered with cotton wool or something. But in answer to your question yes, all sliders are at their maximum.
Thanks for replying though
My provider (Hutchison 3G) have said over Twitter to return it and get a replacement, which I will do tomorrow if I can't find a solution. At least that way it'll rule out a hardware fault.
My notification is also to.quiet.
Music and videos and notification sounds on zedge for example are loud it as soon as I choose to use them for a notification sound it's very low. Certainly a software bug not hardware.
Thank you, I really thought I was going doolally... I'll mention it to the provider tomorrow when I get advice

Probably a bit naff quoting myself but hey-ho...
Returned the device, and the new one arrived today, still the same problem, for example select a notification tone for Whatsapp and it's quiet-ish but okay (i'm quite deaf so need a louder than normal notification) then when someone sends a message its super quiet and sort of muffled. I had every intention at some point to root and de-brand it but thought the stock rom was the probelm, so after many hours I finally flashed ARC5, flashed TWRP and rooted with SuperSU ( that lot was a mission on its own) but I've still got VERY quiet notifications...
Very Very annoying.
Anyone developing a volume mod?

Glad we not on our own and a replacement has been tried with no such look.
Certainly a problem Samsung should became to fix quickly if there are aware of it.....
i checked again the same sound is low on viber and in telegram and very high in whatsapp

Video of issue where the same sound on whatsapp is high and on telegram is low, and the same issue with all sounds and many apps.
Do the notification sounds play through a bluetooth speaker if you have one connected? Maybe I could hear them on the other side of the house if I used a bluetooth speaker with the volume cranked up when I leave the phone charging .
Another silly idea: There are tasker plugins available to make app notifications into events that tasker can respond to. If someone already has tasker installed, you could try intercepting the notification then playing the sound you want as a music clip so it would play at "normal" volume. I've never taken the time to learn how the heck to use tasker, but now I'm tempted.

I am having the same issue. I keep missing text messages due to the quietness, even if I'm sitting next to it, within 3 feet.
Any thing discovered as of yet?
Found this thread Googling for a fix for the same problem, G960F
Notification only plays through bottom speaker, and is much quieter than the original sound I downloaded from Zedge and muffled too, all stock notification sounds are equally low
I see the Samsung forums are full of people complaining about the same thing, hopefully Samsung does something about it, quite annoying and constantly missing messages and whatsapp notifications
I have no issues... Verizon.. snapdragon model...I think it's an Android Oreo issue though..my pixel XL did that. But the volume increased whenever the phone was in my pocket...same with the Galaxy S9+..but it's louder than my pixel

Noticed today that ringtones are quieter when someone calls, than they are from the ringtone selection screen
Tweeted to Samsung about it, who very quickly asked me to DM them instead of publicly tweeting about it, so I did, and that was nearly two weeks ago, no reply

Yes I've noticed that too - I think it's the top speaker that's quieter.
Hmm strange issue not present on my Verizon models on the s9 and s9+ I wonder if the software has different settings on how the volume works i know my volume mod on the s7 and s7 edge were different for all models so I'm guessing it's a software issue
Any solution/mod?
