You need to switch UART and USB settings:
enter UART mode with *#9090# and select "Log via UART"
then
enter *#7284# and select "UART MODEM" and select "USB PDA".
Now Windows ask normal samsung drivers!
That's all.
Thanks a lotttt !!!

In the phone, open dialer and enter the code.
Even though the code did not work for me (Using ICS). I think I should restock the tab.
I have a Tab 2 7.0, and I have the same problem.
My device detects its as 7cds + comneon Suspend and failed to install the drivers.
I've Kies installed but no luck
Switched USB port but result is same
switched PC but same
tried my friend's tab (same like mine) with settings USB->Modem to see weather there is problem with my USB but again no drivers.... i. e. no probs with my tab
Tried Your method but i don't have the "log via UART" instide I have "log via USB" which upon selecting gives me an error ""LOG PATH SET FAIL".
and then on selecting Modem on Diag menu gives me the same responce...
note: I dont have the DM+MODEM+ADB but only modem or PDA option... I guess it said to be "mux menu" for us.. correct me if I am wrong
Please Help me...
It did not work on my Galaxy SIII someone could help me urgently?

Hi!
Does anybody know how to enter Diagnostic Mode with xperia z2 d6503?
##3424 and ##3424# do not seem to work. On my s5, it was *#0808#. tried it but did not work.
Is there an alternative to change the usb settings? (Like thru cmd)
Thanks
What do you mean diagnostic mode
Could you explain as i am not familiar?
There is sort of usb connection mode in settings>connectivity

Hi!
No, not the connectivity option in Settings.
Diagnostic mode or USB Settings mode is to help put the phone go to modem so that the radio can be examined and used with Qualcomm EXtensible Diagnostic Monitor (QXDM)

I dont think Xperia Z2 has that
You can reboot into fastboot mode, fastboot mode
And anything utilitorial aside those two would be android debugging mode.

I just translated "debugging mode" and no that is not it anyway.
What I wish is for the phone to appear under ports and com so that I might use the software QXDM.
Thanks anyway

Hello, I Have A Moto E2 2nd Generation Which Boots Up Completely Fine, But Its Display Is Gone. And I Cannot See Anything In Its Screen (But I Am Sure That It Boots Up) So, I Wanna Enable Usb Debugging And Mirror Its Screen In My Pc. But I Am Not Able TO Enable It. Once I Saw Something That Requires To Boot In Recovery Mode And From There We Can Enable USB Debugging But I Am Not Able To Go To Recovery Mode (But I Can Go In Fastboot Mode) Please Help I Wanna Do This, The Thing Shown In This Forum To Recover My Phone

@YoYo178
On PC run
Code:
fastboot devices
to check for a valid connection. If phone is connected via USB with PC run
Code:
fastboot reboot
to leave fastboot mode ( means re-start phone normally )
Afterwards run
Code:
adb devices
to check for an established connection. If a connection got successfully established
then you force phone to run in adb-mode
Code:
adb shell "svc usb setFunctions adb"
adb reboot
Now you should be able to recover phone's user data. For example
Code:
adb pull /sdcard/DCIM %TEMP%
Code:
fastboot devices
yes it shows, done.
Code:
fastboot reboot
yes it reboots too.
Code:
adb devices
nah nothing shows in adb devices (USB Debugging Isn't Enabled)
And I Do Not Want To Recover Data, I Want To Mirror Its Screen. Well, There Is A Lil Bit Of Data Too.
I Want To Enable USB Debugging And
Code:
push adb_keys
file Which i got From A Authorised Device.
@YoYo178
You can't enable USB debugging by means of ADB: Having USB debugging enabled is THE requirement to make use of ADB.

Hi there, I had the exact same problem with my moto e 2nd Gen LTE (surnia). First of all this isn't a software issue, it's a hardware one ! Displays on some of those phones were faulty and I had to take it to repair it (just to clarify).
I had an immense chance because just before that I installed a screen mirroring app. I opened it through Google now (it was 6 years ago lol) and blind clicked because I remembered the layout of the app.
If you didn't have that chance you can try with USB OTG cable to HDMI port, and connect your phone to a PC with an HDMI cable. I didn't tried that on mine, so idk if HDMI through OTG works. Good luck with that :good:

Hi guys,
I bought this BOX TV H96max X3 Amlogic S905X3 but it restarts constantly, I want to upgrade the firmware.
I ask for your help on this topic. Can you please confirm the method to avoid confusion.
Step by step (without giving details for step 1, 7 and 8):
1. Prepare the PC environment, install USB_Burning_Tool_v2.1.7.0 and selecting the ".img" firmware
2. Turn off the box and disconnect the power cable
3. Connect the first end of USB 3.0 male cable to the PC
4. Click "start" on "USB_Burning Tool v2.1.7.0"
5. Reset the box by bringing a toothpick into the AV port and keeping it pressed for 8 - 10 seconds, without the box being connected to power supply or to the male USB 3.0 cable.
6. Connect the other end of the USB 3.0 male cable to the box in USB "2.0" port (really in the 2.0 port???)
7. See the identification of the box and the progress of the process ....
8. click "Stop" when finish
I'm confused at step 5, do I plug in the power when entering the toothpick or the box will be powered by the male USB cable?
Thanks in advance.

I don't understand why you had to create a new topic while you posted to the similar topic just below. Anyway.
1. Install the USB Burning Tool. You have to install also the LICENCE directory !!!!!
2. Leave the box bare (nothing connected to it - no power adaptor also)
3. Start the UBT tool and load the img file. Wait until it checks it and then press "START". Connect one end of the cable to a USB port of your PC/Laptop
4. While pressing lightly the reset button in the AV port (i.e. with a toothpick) at the same time insert the other end of the cable to the USB port of your box (preferably NOT the light blue port - NOT the 3.0 USB port of the box).
5. Wait until the tool reaches 100% nad then just disconnect the box

Easy guys enable adb debugging by tapping the build number 7 times in the settings>about menu.
Then make sure your default USB protocol is set to mtp or file transfer and not *charging only*
Next you find out your box ip address, download remote adb shell on your phone then make the connection (sometimes you will have to accept the promot on screen)
Type :
reboot recovery
Your box should now reboot to stock unrooted recovery

Thanks, That worked! I could enter to stock device's recovery using this method. But how can I enter EmuElec other retro emulator systems?
I've done it before on x96 air (s905x3) box as it had custom Rom and was root.
I've made a retro elec sd card (specified to my Amlogic s905x2) but when I enter recovery nothing happens. Also when I go to update from EXT>SD card, it only shows folders on the sd.

You have to use the IMG card burner tool like Rufus, balena etcher and burn the image to card.
If youre going through the emulec route or retroelec etc you don't need to >apply update > sdcard simply power off the device insert a cotton bud or toothpick in the av port (reset button) insert sdcard with whatever img file you have burned into the sdcard slot or usb whatever .
While pressing in the reset button with tooth pick, power on your device. It should boot to the img on the SD, sometimes it may take a few tries mate. But it's should boot then
Thank you for your help. That was awesome! Although I could not enter EmuElec using the reset button method as my box instantly booted up to the rom every time, but I used remote ADB shell and "reboot update" command and my box successfully entered the EmuElec.
But it's much easier to use av (reset button) and I had no success doing that.
Can I use an audio or AV jack instead of a toothpick or it must be something non-conductive? I used AV jack and a toothpick but non of them worked.

Most boxes have a hidden reset button located inside the AV audio input, if you insert the toothpick or cotton bud into the small hole and press you should feel a button clicking. This is the "update" button or "reset" button.
If you power the device down and insert the toothpick and hold the button in for approx 20 secs then power device on it should (in most cases) boot to recovery menu.
If it does not (and you've figured how to get to recovery) you can either use adb or download an app called "powermenu little Vic apk" this is an app that will boot, reboot, reboot recovery, sleep, and so on providing your box has minimal root it should work.
I prefer to use the app and boot to recovery from the rom itself, you can also go into the update menu or update app and select "local update" and this should do the same job
Regards
Thank you for your help. I think I need to root the ROM to unlock some features. Also, I got a non-original PS4 controller that can't get connected to the box via Bluetooth or cable. The controller does not have any problem connecting to my android phone and tablet via Bluetooth or cable but on my box, it fails to get paired. Also, the box easily pairs with original PS4 controllers. So I want to use Sixaxis app and give it a try.

What processor does your box have? And what android version.
Have you tried looking for other custom firmwares?
The processor is an amlogic s905x2 (16GB internal/2GB Ram) and it runs an Android TV 8.1.
I'm happy with the firmware but I need root access. Also, I don't know the exact model of my box so finding another compatible firmware is not easy.

Hello if you can download and install Aida64 mod apk and check your device android version, board name, processor, device model name with that.
But if you want root you can use the amlogic burning tool to easily install a firmware with root access. Some have it built in others require that you use twrp to flash and install supersu, magisk manager/zip.
But start by installing aida64 then you will have a lot more information of your device.
