Hi all
We Have built Lineage OS 17.1 for Ulefone Power 6 (we have kernel and device tree sources and for vendor we use from stock rom) and flashed it on the device and now works perfectly fine and has not any problem.
Then we built Lineage OS 18.1 for this device successfully with the device tree and the kernel of the before (kernel without any change and device tree with a little change to resolve the build errors compared with lineage OS 17.1 one) and vendor from the stock rom (for either of them i.e. Lineage OS 17.1 and 18.1), but when we flashed it on the device, it could not boot and stuck in boot loop!
it seems that the only tool available for debugging is last kernel message logs in recovery mode.
from the "/proc/last_kmsg" it seems that the problem is originated from init process in mounting partitions (specially system partition) unsuccessfully (or from not finding the mount entries for some partitions from fstab file) and without considering the log, we should maybe apply some changes to vendor for the Lineage 18.1 to be able to boot up.
can anyone help me to find the origin of the problem or help me to know the general way for successful transition from Lineage OS 17.1 to Lineage OS 18.1 for a device
thanks in advance
i have a spare Ulefone power 6 on hand, appreciate if you can share the rom of lineage OS for me to flash and take a look

Does anyone have the img files of the Lineage OS 14.1 for MT6737M?
I've downloaded one but it was like 4.3 Gb or so and couldnĀ“t flash it.
I don't have TWRP installed because this phone is in battery bootloop, and thought about flash the rom via fastboot.
Hope anyone can help me.
Hello...
I am currently on oxygen os beta17 custom rom....I want to try Lineage os...Do i need to flash vendor and firmware along with Lineage os or not...
during first week of october it was reported that Linage builts aren't passing encryption and users have to loose all data by formatting internal storage (data partition)
if that's fixed then
you don't need to flash the vendor, linage has its own vendor
but you do need to flash firmware 10.3.8 and must flash DFE
Hello,
I have three LG G3 LS990s; two of which run LineageOS 16.0 fine. My 3rd G3 was actually the first I installed Lineage(14.1) on. This was working fine until I updated to 15.0. After that point I was no longer able to boot into Lineage ROMs. I'm able to install, boot and root stock ROMs; but lineage stays on the boot animation even if I leave it running all night. I recently restored stock LS990zv4 and redid the process of rooting and installing TWRP(3.3.1.0) . However lineage is still hanging at the boot screen.
I saved the logs from TWRP but I'm not sure if they show the lineage OS boot process. Any help at figuring out why this one phone is misbehaving would be appreciated. One thing that stood out in dmesg.log is below. It still mentions lineage 14.1 even after I restored stock before formatting, clearing Dalvic/Cache and installing Lineage 16.0.
"<4>[ 0.021435] WARNING: at ../../../../../../lineageos-cm-14.1/kernel/lge/g3/fs/proc/generic.c:323 __xlate_proc_name+0xb0/0xc4()"
I'm not familiar enough with linux/android partitions to understand how the boot process flows. I've also tried installing the boot partition from one of my G3s which boot lineage.
I have installed Lineage OS 16.0 in my device, but due to some bugs i had to go back to MIUI 10.3.5, and now i am reconsidering to go back to Lineage.
Last time i had installed both vendor and firmware which were in the same Zip, right now i can't find a package of both, and i'm wondering if prior to the lineage installation i need to flash both vendor and firmware, and if so does it matter the order? or maybe i just need to flash the firmware?

Simply install the recovery and latest 17.1 firmware available at lineage downloads

Your are on Android 9. If you want to flash lineage 17.1 you must be on MIUI 11 (11.0.6.0) based on android 10. Then you just need to flash lineage 17.1 zip. It already contains vendor. And when you flash the stock rom i.e. MIUI 11, firmware is also flashed.
Now if you want to move to lineage OS 16, just flash lineage os 16 zip. It also contains vendor.
And never downgrade. It usually causes problems.
So, I've managed to boot into twrp & I wiped all my data & then flashed lineage os (attachment) & rebooted but it didn't reboot into lineage os instead it went into that bootloader unlocked warning & then went black & now If I restart I can go back to that & then back to black. I did not flash magisk on it since the whole process of doing that changed recently now requiring you to do that from some kind of an app on an actually working os so I figured that I'll just install it from lineage os & as (from what I know) it's not required, not having magisk shouldn't be the issue. Any ideas?
did you flash vendor? some Android 11 ROMs are vendor-less, needs you to download Android 11 vendor from your device group, I suggest telegram. anyways you can look for a ROM that has "vendor included" note to avoid that for easier flash.
