Hello!
I'm having some troubles to find a way to root this phone since a lot of the post I've found say that it's not possible to root the Oppo A9 CPH1941 due to the locked bootloader, now in the dev settings I have a check for locking or unlocking the bootloader so I guess that shouldn't be a problem for me? So how can I go forward in this? I need the root because I have to access smb from another android device and I've failed, I can access the smb on my ubuntu pc but not the android device.
Can anybody indicate me to a guide please?
I have a windows computer, a ubuntu computer and a fedora laptop if it's needed for the root.
Also is it possible to root the phone without deleting the data in it?
Thanks and sorry for my lack of experience but I don't touch android root and stuff since my Galaxy Next Turbo lol
Me too
I am still waiting for solution unlock bootloader A9 2020 Qualcomm.

Can anyone help? My new phone is not being recognized in ADB devices. Not on my Windows 10 machine, not on my windows 7 machine, not on my Mac.
So it must be something on the phone site. Rooting as well as installation of TWRP sadly not possible this way.
It seems it has EUI version 5.8.017s (stable). Whatever that means.
I have activated USB debugging.
There is an option in the developer options claiming that you can unlock the bootloader - is the bootloader locked? What can I do to unlock it? Or what does that mean?
I am getting a bit desperate here, the phone is rather useless for me without custom ROM, so I would have to send it back. Any chance I could get some help? I see people with similar problems here, but nobody seems to help.

Hey,
I was curious on how to unlock the bootloader on this slate 21 pro (ranger) as what another dev identifies this device. I have Confirmed root and xposed on this device but all i need is a unlocked bootloader.
Any given advice will be great. And i would prefer this operation without a windows PC as well. But if it requires one (Like a majority of android devices), then i'll go for it.
Thanks.
Hello,
I have a Motorola Nexus6, brought it in 2015 and using it for almost 3 years now. Now I would like to root the device. After researching about it for sometime, I came to know that I have to unlock the bootloader and unlocking the bootloader would erase the entire data on the phone. I have checked the bootloader of my Nexus6 and it shows that it is Locked. I don't use to sync all my data to the google drive, for instance photos. So is there any way I could root this device without erasing the data? Or is it impossible?
Please suggest.
Another question is: I use Debian and Fedora GNU/Linux PCs. I can see different tools in the menu here. Which one do you suggest for me ?
Thanks,
Jos Collin
Any suggestions for this please ?
Hello,
So I have a Huawei PRA-LA1C185B221 (GR3 2017), EMUI version 5.0.2 and Android 7.0
At first I tried to root my phone using apps like Kingroot and Kingo root, from the phone and from the laptop but without success,
After that, reading on the net I found that to root a Huawei phone I need to unlock the Bootloader, and since Huawei stoped this service I did not manage to do that.
And because I'm loosing hope to root my phone, I'm thinking about Line Age OS,
1. Do I need to unlock the bootloader in order to install the Line age OS?
2. Since the main goal is to get access to the root (I want to install and fully use apps like Termux and to manage the space by removing the vendor default apps), what's the best thing to do? Looking again for root or the change the os?
Knowing that I do not have any experience on rooting or os changing on the phones.
Best
Is there a way to unlock the bootloader on a rooted smartphone ?
I found information about the Huawei.
There, the unlock code "16 digit character" is in the file mmcblk0p7.
File path...
HiSilicon -> /dev/block/platform/hi_mci.0/by-name/nvme
For MTK -> /dev/block/platform/mtk-msdc.0/by-name/boot
For my smartphone, I could not find something like that.
Maybe someone has ideas about the Unlock Code.
Can it be in open form in block folders, if so how to find it ?
Or maybe there is another way to unlock the bootloader if there is root access on the phone ?
Thanks
