Hey,
I was curious on how to unlock the bootloader on this slate 21 pro (ranger) as what another dev identifies this device. I have Confirmed root and xposed on this device but all i need is a unlocked bootloader.
Any given advice will be great. And i would prefer this operation without a windows PC as well. But if it requires one (Like a majority of android devices), then i'll go for it.
Thanks.

Hello all. I have a question.
So I have a Neo V with me now, and I would want to root and unlock the bootloader. So previously I had a Samsung Nexus S and I unlocked the bootloader via this website called nexusshacks.com
So there was this folder from the website that could help me to root and unlock the Nexus S. I was reading through various thread on rooting and unlocking BL for Neo V and realized I had similar files already in my MacBook.
They are
1) adb-mac
2) fastboot-mac
3) USB Drivers (with the x86 one which I believe is for Mac OS X?)
Therefore my question is, can I proceed to unlock the BL for my Neo V, since I have those files in my MacBook already? Is the process the same then, as in getting unlock key from Sony website, running fastboot, and running the fastboot oem unlock command?
Also do you guys recommend CWM or xRecovery for a recovery system? Thanks again for the help, I'm just very confused since most, if not all guides are written for Windows computers haha
Hello,
I have a Motorola Nexus6, brought it in 2015 and using it for almost 3 years now. Now I would like to root the device. After researching about it for sometime, I came to know that I have to unlock the bootloader and unlocking the bootloader would erase the entire data on the phone. I have checked the bootloader of my Nexus6 and it shows that it is Locked. I don't use to sync all my data to the google drive, for instance photos. So is there any way I could root this device without erasing the data? Or is it impossible?
Please suggest.
Another question is: I use Debian and Fedora GNU/Linux PCs. I can see different tools in the menu here. Which one do you suggest for me ?
Thanks,
Jos Collin
Any suggestions for this please ?
I'm planning to use a low-cost tablet for a wall mounted home automation display. For this use I have bought an rather unkown but very affordable tablet from SPC (Smart Products Connection) (Model Heaven 10.1) running on Android 7.0 with kernel-version 3.10.65. To unlock features I need for a wall mounted display (e.g. always on, controlling the charging of the battery to enhance battery lifetime, adjusting the tablet time automatically through my local network timeserver etc. etc.) I need the device unlocked. I followed the nice description in the Forum Hovatec (<https://>forum.hovatek.com/thread-1405.html) to get into custom recovery mode and make a stock boot image but I got stuck at the step where the tablet should boot into recovery since fastboot is not able to connect to the tablet. Thus I assume that I cannot unlock the bootloader of the device. The applications like King Root, KingoRoot and the like do not seem to find a software exploit to help out here either (most probably of the uncommon model I use) and OneClickroot wants to have a premium for unlocking it (the app claims that it can do it but I'm very reluctant to pay 30-50$ to unlock a tablet which I already have bought, to a very shady company...
So I hope that someone here has already experience with my tablet model and may help out with a description how to:
1.) Get to unlock the bootloader
2.) Get a stock boot image
3.) Unlock the device
4.) Or have a software exploit to unlock the tablet online
?
Hello!
I'm having some troubles to find a way to root this phone since a lot of the post I've found say that it's not possible to root the Oppo A9 CPH1941 due to the locked bootloader, now in the dev settings I have a check for locking or unlocking the bootloader so I guess that shouldn't be a problem for me? So how can I go forward in this? I need the root because I have to access smb from another android device and I've failed, I can access the smb on my ubuntu pc but not the android device.
Can anybody indicate me to a guide please?
I have a windows computer, a ubuntu computer and a fedora laptop if it's needed for the root.
Also is it possible to root the phone without deleting the data in it?
Thanks and sorry for my lack of experience but I don't touch android root and stuff since my Galaxy Next Turbo lol
Me too
I am still waiting for solution unlock bootloader A9 2020 Qualcomm.
I have ordered a new phone at a favorable price of $359. However, since it is two years old (on market), I am unsure if the bootloader can be unlocked in the future. It appears that the manufacturer has locked the bootloader, and there may be no way to unlock it without their assistance?
Root access may be necessary to remove ads with tools like AdAway or YT reVanced, and to enable features such as VOLTE or 5G, which may require some tweaking to get working. After the manufacturer support ends, I usually plan to flash a custom ROM on the device.
The phone I ordered is not as popular as the OnePlus Nord 2, which raises some concerns about the possibility of rooting it. What do you think? Is there a chance of successfully rooting this device?
