Question How to screen capture PLUS auto-scroll down? - Samsung Galaxy A52 5G

On allmost all smartphones it is possible to screenshot what is currently shown on display by pressing VOLUME-DOWN + ONOFF
Moreover my old non-Samsung smartphone offers an additional button "Scroll" which (when tapped) let the capture procedure automatically scroll down to capture the whole dialog/window
How can I achieve this auto-scoll-down+capture in Samsung A52S?

It should be exactly the same way. When you take a screenshot, a little toolbar appears at the bottom and you tap the button that looks like a down button. If you don't have the toolbar, check your settings by going to: Settings > Advanced features > Screenshots & screen recorder > Screenshot toolbar. Make sure the toggle is on. If you still don't have it, check you have the app Samsung Capture installed and if not you can only download it from the Galaxy Store.

Ok, thank you. I found the button.
BUT; When I tap on it the screenshot procedure behind scrolls down only ONE page.
If it is a loooong page I have to tap 5 or 6 or even more times to capture really the whole dialog.
Thats user unfriendly.
Is there a way to tell Android to capture everything automatically until the bottom of the dialog after first tap?
Is this scroll feature a Samsung feature on on ALL Android 12 smartphones?

Any app/way to simulate pressing "home" key?

I'm looking for a way to simulate pressing the "Home" hardware key at the bottom, to return to the Sense home tab, without actually pressing that key. I have seen several programs which can take over things like taps on the "X" button or even top taskbar clock, but although they can be set to close or minimize the active program, they don't seem to be able to achieve the same effect as pressing the "Home" key.
The closest I've been able to come is wktask which can assign the "Show Today" action to the "X" soft button, but it doesn't work so well with WM 6.5.X versions due to other glitches and incompatibilities, so is not ideal.
Is there any such program that can simulate the "Show Today" action, ideally by a tap on the top taskbar clock? So that the hardware key can be bypased?
quite easily:
you can create a link to Home link (found in start Menu) which will return to home sence tab.
This can be linked to anything that can select a shortcut as a function.
Example being Utask, this gives extra function to x screen-button & start menu button by long press on these screen buttons, long press mapped to Home.lnk & you got what you want.
Mortscript could also be useful in setting these sort of things up.
Thanks for the reply and advice. However on the rom that I am using (Artemis) there is no "Home" shortcut available via the start menu. In another rom (Energy) I do see this shortcut in the start menu, but am unable to find it as a file in \Windows\Start Menu\ and so I have no way of creating a link to it or pointing to it in the options for uTask.
Can anyone provide instructions for finding or creating this "Home" shortcut so that I can implement it as desired? If anyone is able to locate it as a file/link on their rom, is it possible to upload it here to this thread so that I can copy it onto my device?
Or any other ideas?
The home link is basically a link to: ManilaShortcut.exe
with parameter: home
You can set this up in utask to one of its touch buttons by setting it to launch- ManilaShortcut.exe
found in windows folder & adding parameter- home
If you do not have ManilaShortcut.exe I will upload it & shortcuts I have for it.
Thanks Mister B, the instructions as posted above worked as desired and I am now able to switch back to the Sense Home Tab at any time from any application, by tapping on the top taskbar clock. This is exactly what I wanted to accomplish.
Doing a "minimize" was already possible by default with uTask, but that would not always take you right back Home if you had other apps open and running behind the current foreground one. Now it's one-click to return home while leaving everything open and running.
Very much appreciated.

How to change dock apps in touchwiz

I don't take credit for this, just found it and wanted to share if anyone needs it. Follow URL below

Sent from the only phone designed by Chuck Norris
It's on page 33 of the manual, it says:
Adding and Removing Primary Shortcuts
You can change any of your primary shortcuts with the exception
of the Applications and Home shortcuts.
1. Press to activate the Home screen.
2. Tap to display your current applications.
3. Press and tap Edit.
4. If the Reorganize icons screen is displayed, tap Switch.
5. Read the Edit applications information and tap OK (this only
displays the first time you edit the Applications menu).
6. Scroll through the list and locate your desired application.
7. Touch and hold the on-screen icon, then drag it over the
primary shortcut that you want to replace. The new
primary shortcut then appears at the bottom of the screen.
The old primary shortcut will return to the application
menu.
8. Press and tap Save.
9. Press to return to the Home screen.
The new primary shortcut will now appear on all Home
screens.
there is WAY to many steps to do that.

[Q] Repurposing Home Button to show Notification Menu?

Dear Androidsters
I'm very much enjoying my Samsung Galaxy Note (running stock Android 4.1.2, rooted), and it's waaay better than all my previous 11 palmtop computers put together.
I have four apps which effectively make my Notification Menu into my app launching mechanism [1], since I find this to be quicker and more efficient than the default Home Screens paradigm. I have explored using various app-launching Home Screen replacement apps (such as GO Launcher EX, 3D Home, etc., &c., all of which stick to using the Home Screens paradigm), but I much prefer to use the Notification Menu to launch apps.
Android is justly famous for its 'Customise Everything!' abilities, but search as I may, I cannot find a way of customising a single press on the Home Button. The final finesse would be that, in any and every situation (including when apps are running full screen, where the Notification Bar method of accessing the Notification Menu is absent), a single press on the Home Button shows the Notification Menu instead of the Home Screen (or whichever replacement app-launching Home Screens app it currently launches).
So does anybody know of a customising utility app which will allow me to remap a single press on the Home Button to show the Notification Menu?
Thanks in advance for your help.
[1] Four apps which effectively make my Notification Menu into my app launching mechanism:
Simple Shortcut Panel, Launch From Notification, Settings Extended, and Notification Toggle
There is a way but I know little about button mapping, ask some app developers, they'll probably know.

How to open in app menu?

Hi all. It may seem a silly question and probably it is but there are apps (in this case Touchdown mail client) that haven't an icon to open the in app settings menu. With my previous phones I used a physical button, usually long press on the back button, to open it. But how to do it with the single button p9000? Thank you.
Very good question, they seem to have forgotten about apps that need a physical key for menu, have you tried enabling the softkeys to see if the menu button appears on them for you? Can the "Smart Button" not be setup to be the menu key? or is it only to open apps? I not played with it myself..
Still searching how to have the MENU inside applications, softkeys does not work !
I would ask the software maker! The phone maker won't add more physical buttons.
And multiple press are always software driven!
Even if the phone maker did, that won't help you out with the old hardware...
Doesn't seem to be an answer anywhere online so here goes:
Go to settings > Navigation bar > Turn On.
Go to app you need a menu on > swipe up from bottom to bring up the Nav bar.
Three dots appear on the end of the nav bar. Done.
If the three dots don't appear; click on the recent tasks button and then go back into the app and they should come up.
Tried and tested with EZ Drop.
- Doesn't seem to work with apps with the built in "three dots" menu.
I use ‘Menu Button (No root)’ by JetToast free on the Play store, to get round this problem.

[PSA] [WARNING] Android Pie Beta + Secure Startup + WQHD = Black Screen [FIX]

Anyone on the Android Pie Beta may have noticed the little * in the changelog telling you to disable Secure Startup.
If you were like me and assumed it would just be for the first boot after updating and re-enabled secure startup afterwords you may be facing this issue too where you can no longer use your phone because the screen is not coming on.
Luckily i found a pretty nice fix thanks to a user on Reddit HERE
"Rakien
I had this issue! There is a way to fix this!
You need to get Bixby set up blindly, and then ask to activate power saving mode, and turn it on. It'll lower the screen resolution and fix the issue. This is how I sorted it out.
I can post screenshots of what area to press, so you can get it set up.
Edit: Album with screenshots for Bixby, literally the one time it has come in handy, ahah!
By default, the navigation bar will be at the bottom, so find the home button, then move up slightly from there. After set up, ask Bixby to turn on power saving mode, then hit the area to confirm. After you have done this, do a reset of your settings in the menu, and it'll fix it. No factory restore needed. Hope this helps anyone.
Click to collapse
Seems to be a bug with Android Pie + Secure Startup + a WQHD+ resolution.
So you need to change the resolution and then disable secure startup so it does not happen again.
I managed to get Bixby to enable power saving mode by unlocking the phone with my fingerprint, tapping the bixby key (you should be able to hear bixby welcome you) and tapping where the next arrow should be at the bottom center of the screen,
After this i held the Bixby Key and asked her to enable power saving, and then tapping apply (blind) near the bottom right of the screen.
