Hi.
So, I edited a Waze apk to work with Notify applications for Amazfit and Mi Band watches.
I have a data plan that I can use Waze without reducing my mobile data so I thought if the Notify apllication dev made Google Maps work, I can make Waze to work with Notify.
It took me around a week to make it work but I think it was worth it.
This .zip that attached contains the modded .apk, a notify_pass.txt and a directions.json

That alerts are false positive because the .apk is signed with debug key.
Instructions for installation:
1. Import the directions.json by looking this video:
Your browser is not able to display this video.
2. Place the notify_pass.txt in your phones internal storage. This .txt is needed for Waze mod to work. In Notify you have to enable Tasker integration. If you set a password for it, then write the same password in this .txt also.
If you don't use password for it then delete the notify_pass.txt content and leave it blank (It's still has to be placed in phones internal storage!)
3. After these steps are done, just connect to your watch, then open Waze and start navigating.
(DONT FORGET TO GIVE STORAGE PERMISSIONS FOR WAZE)
If the next instruction is X km long it will send navigation notifications to watch at every 500m.
If the next instruction is X m long it will send navigation notifications to watch at every 50m.
Some log files are generated in the internal phone storage. DONT DELETE THEM: (the modded apk reads data from them, street name, direction etc...)

Hi. You sure it's that causing that? I'm using it (also used it multiple times on mobile network) with no issues. No force close, crash, anything. Can you provide a screen recording about the auto closing?

Updated to latest beta .apk and hopefully fixed that crash now (again).
I tested it multiple times didnt crash for me.
If it still crashes for you, please reply back.

Hello everybody,
i noticed an issue this morning with google plus.
As i think you know, latitude is going to disappear and i activated the location share on google plus.
But when i go into local, i can see all my friends sharing their positions, but the map doesn't show... as a matter of fact, i see icons on a empty display.
I tried to reboot, to clear cache and dalvik, also to remove and re-install google plus app, but nothing changed... have you some idea? what kind of problem is this?

But in this case, i should have also some problem with maps and latitude, don't i? But maps and latitude, they work fine
Moreover, my position in Google+ is good, i am tracked well... just my icon is on a blank screen, without any map under it

I would contact the developer about that,could be a specific bug.Log into Google Playstore and go to "Whats new"thats the bug list and what its not compatible with.
i have the same problem, it locates me fine but there is no map background.

The workaround for the problem is to make Google+ a system app.
I had the same problem before and it helped me.

Thanks for the link. I have an interesting issue with my HTC one: everytime I make Google+ a system app everything is gone (app & libs) after the reboot. It doesn't matter how I copy / move the files: adb, ESExplorer or Titanium: after the reboot the files under /system/app & /system/libs are gone.
So I found a way to force premium voice to be used during all out going calls, regardless of whether the network speed is adequate or not. While I'm very satisfied with FreedomPOP's service, I do feel like if I'm paying for the 2G cell service for phone calls, I should be able to use it at all times, not only when their app deems it necessary. Because, lets face it, as most of you know the VOIP can be flaky at times. either causing delays in the conversation or just breaking up completely and dropping. I know many people beat this by simply turning off cell data and WiFi. While that solution works, it's a pain in the ass to do that every single time.
This is a very simple hack to make it use the Premium voice service at all times. You will need a permissions editor to complete this task.
I used Advanced Permission Manager.
What you will need to do is open the app in Advanced Permission Manager and select the Messaging App.
1. Open Advanced Permission Manager, click on all All Apps and select freedompops Messaging app.
2. Once it is opened you will see a list of all the permissions that app has on your phone.

3. The permission you want to remove is reroute outgoing calls. Simply click on it to remove its access.
4. now select Save & Reinstall. it will compile the New APK without the reroute outgoing calls.
And that's it.
Few things you will need to know.
1. Since the app is not the original from Google Play you will no longer get notifications of when the App has been updated, I normally check it manually from week to week.
2. Every time there is an App update you will need to uninstall, Reinstall the original from Google Play, then follow the steps modifying the app permissions again.
3. Since this does require uninstalling and reinstalling the app, You will lose all text messaging history, each time there is an update.

I need to undo reroute outgoing calls, and now "save and reinstall" is no longer a choice. Only "close" is a choice and of course it doesn't save anything. Please help.

I do not want to transmit my contact data to Xiaomi.
To accomplish that target, I used Titanium Backup to disable a lot preinstalled, unnecessary system apps.
There are still a lot preinstalled apps, that seems necessary to run the system. Using Xprivacy, I denied internet and network access for most of these apps. There are two "apps" that can not be restricted, without causing the system to bootloop. These two are these:

I don´t think these are actual apps, because there are dozens of packages included. So, I take it as a fact, that these "apps" can not be restricted by Xprivacy.
As a result I must work with Titanium Backup to disable and replace the remaing Xiaomi apps.
The most obvious app, that has access to my contacts is the "phone app".

To remove the marked green "Phone" app from the app drawer, I freezed the app "contacts and dialer". I also installed an alternative dialer/phone app (drupe).
The green "Phone" app button disappears. Good.
But when starting a telephone call, from within drupe, the "Xiaomi in-call-screen" (picture on the right) appears.
That "in call screen" appears with google phone or drupe or any other phone software.
I have set the alternative dialer als default for "dialer", but that does not make any difference.
Is there a way, to make calls without using a Xiaomi piece of software?
Yes, there is a simple way. Just disable InCallUI. But remember, you must need to set another dialer app as default which has its own in-call interface. And, calls won't be recorded anymore.
By the way, have you used Google Dialer? I'm using it. The problem is, it can't show call history.

As long as InCallUI is activated - the Xiaomi in-call-userinterface shows up every call.
If I deactivate InCallUI in TitaniumBackup, then there is no in-call-userinterface at all.

I think you're asking for Google Phone app. If yes, then simply join the beta programme of Google Phone from this link ( https://play.google.com/apps/testing/com.google.android.dialer ) and after joining the beta, download the app directly from the link given there ’download it on Google Play'.

is there anybody who could download (via ADB or ApkInstaller) the actual MiHome apk from Chinese Stratos 2?
The package is called "com.huami.smarthome".
I own the international version of Amazfit Stratos 2, there is not the MiHome app included. But i installed an older version of MiHome smart watch apk and the smart pluggs and smart power strip are working. Unfortunately im not successfull with my Yeelight ceiling light.
I will be really happy if anyone can provide the apk.

Keep in mind that you need constant connection with the phone and phone itself needs wifi connection all the time to control your stuff from watch.
Thank You for the response. Unfortunately the apk is not working on my watch. It is installed successfully, but it adds itself as a "watchface screen" not an app in the app list view (maybe this is the problem) and it is loading and loading without result. I think there is needed to edit the apk somehow prior using it or this new version is not simply compatible, as i installed another 2 older versions (it installed as "app in applist view") and it worked fine for power strip and socket. I will try to find a way how to install Your version as an "app" not the "watch face". This is my last attempt ? Take care.
Did you reboot the watch after installing apk? If not, try, I do have stratos international version as well and this apk is working well for me.

yes. i did. I tried several attempts. I uninstalled the working old version, unpaid from MiHome mobile app, reboooted watch. Installed Your version, rebooted. Paired to the MiHome mobile app (everything successful). But the screen is still "refreshing" on watch. Rebooted again. Same. I left the watch on the screen for an hour. Nothing changed. ts ok, i tried, its not working... i will try to build my own watch face for the Yelight light in the future, it will be quicker* i made some apps for the Stratos watch including Bluetooth bike sensors (speed/cadence) and HR sensor from watch plus Strava integration, so i think it will be the same somehow.

Hi, I solved this in the past but recenly I had to install again whatsapp on the same phone, and I can't remember how to do that. Also, I can't find anything in internet.
I have an annoying popup (I think it's called toast notification) that shows me an user come online. This doesn't happen often, but it does, and it does also when I?m not in whatsapp. For my privacy I don't want the people looking at my screen notify my contacts, how can I remove it?

Found it ? Normally you can adjust this completely in the settings of the app.
Settings on stock ROM's and custom ROM's can differ a lot.
And ... always look to the version of the WhatsApp app ... there are very ofter updates.
Installation is usually via Google Play, although not necessary.
Hi, thanks for answer, I?m using the same version I had before, after reinstalling I got them. As I wrote this problem was present in the past, but somehow I've found where to disable them/somebody somewhere suggested me or I've read it, I can't find more such information.
It can be inside Whatsapp settings, it can be on anroid permission fot this app, I can't find it! I've searched anywhere. I would love to never receive toast notifications in amy app, not interesting for me, these is a way to disable them at all?
It's a pity whatsapp wasting my phone battery comunicating always with the server telling me who is online, I don't get a f* about that, and also I hate somebody follow me if I'm online or not! Killing my privacy!
I have whatsapp plus and I've selected "tell others I'm always online" I hope it works

Your problem interested us here....there are not that many people who still use Whatsapp Plus.
There's a reason.
The Google playstore banned it from its repository. They could no longer guarantee the safety of the app. (No wonder that you could not install it from Play Store.)
I can't say whether your problem stems from this, but you might ask yourself what the
advantages of Plus are and whether they outweigh the disadvantages.
Why not just use the latest official Whatsapp ? This has already been improved a lot
and these improvements are being worked on daily.

As I wrote it was working good, then I had to put out my simcard to another phone and activate whatsapp there, when I've placed it back I needed to reinstall whatsapp and it misses now that setting. I was able to suppress it in the past, but I don't remember how. There shoulld be a way..
I need this to check the removed messages, and to filter my privacy only to the right persons. Whatsapp doesn't help about that, so I'll keep on this
