I'm about to get the Nord N200 (T-Mobile) and I'm wondering if flashing the rom made by OnePlus will void my warranty.
Yes, just unlocking the bootloader loses your phone warranty (It also depends on the store)
If you have the T-Mobile variant, then using the MSM Tools will will return it to factory condition, including it's bootloader being locked. So you shouldn't have too much of an issue with the warranty.

t-mobile. it will only work on t-mobile variants, and will return it to stock factory for a t-mobile variant.

I can confirm this works. It's also handy to use the msm tool for the tmo 2127 variant if you run into issues installing roms. The 2127 can be a bit finicky and different.

Do you mean that It'll return my device to the oneplus unlocked variant, or just tmobile?

If you have a T-Mobile/MetroPCS device, it will return it to factory condition. The MSM Tool is much more thorough in this than the inbuilt factory reset.
If you have the unlocked variant, the MSM Tool will not work on your phone at all, you'll get an error message.

I recently bought a Cricket Version XT1527 that is not allowed for bootloader unlocking. From what I've read you can flash other signed roms. However, I recently bricked one trying this. I think it is because I started with the 5.1 rom which seems to hose things up. Therefore, two questions before I try this again.
1. Can I flash my locked bootloader cricket to the sim unlocked variant (no carrier) 5.0.2 rom with no problems?
2. When it gets the 5.1 update, will it install without any issues?

was this the 2015 moto e? I didn't think there was a go phone version.
Also, did anything screw up? Did parts of it successfully flash? Or did it just deny everything and stay with stock?
You can't do it. Trying it would likely brick your phone. Look, to flash a Unlocked SIM firmware, you'd need to have your bootloader unlocked, as it'd be a different firmware than yours, and the phone doesn't let you flash alien firmware if your bootloader is unlocked.
For Cricket users, there's no way to flash any firmware other than Cricket one.

And they make the bootloader unlockable so you CAN'T unlock the SIM, stuff like this should be illegal.

Won't know until the phone is in the hands of the tinkerers. It has been that way, FWIW, since the GS7/GS7E.

It works. I just flashed the unlocked firmware on my Verizon model. Only issue I'm having is trying to figure out how to access IMS Settings, can't access through nova or shortcut master. Visual voicemail works.

I am happy to report that after flashing the Sprint firmware on my unlocked S9+ it worked with no issues and knox was not tripped. I've noticed that even though the Sprint splashscreen didn't show up at boot, while in setup the phone did detect the exact carrier I was on (Boost Mobile) and the phone showed the Boost Mobile splashscreen upon reboot and all the Boost Mobile apps as well as some bloatware loaded onto the phone as if it were a phone I purchased through them. But one issue I still notice since when I first bought the phone is the fact that the data speeds are slow in my area, but when I had an LG Stylo 3 from Boost in the area now where I see the slow data speeds, the LG didn't have that issue. I thought flashing carrier firmware would fix that problem. When I am in other parts in NYC out from where I live, ex: Manhattan, Brooklyn; I don't see no slow speeds I get true, fast 4G LTE. I guess it's a software issue Samsung can fix in the next update?
Anyone have link for modified Odin just in case I decide to flash iunlocked S9+ firmware back on my phone?
I Have a GS9+ through sprint (GS965U) and was wondering if i flashed a stock firmware GS965U1 would it unlock my phone?

it won't brick your phone. you will just have stock Samsung firmware without any bloatware. Don't listen to the guy above lol. But no it won't unlock it. You must get the unlock code from your carrier or a third party before you flash another firmware or it won't be able to be unlocked till you flash back and enter the code in on your carriers firmware.
Hey all,
I've done some rooting in the past, so have knowledge but it's limited comparatively to the community. I bought an Unlocked Snapdragon S9+ from Best Buy and the AT&T FirstNet service for first responders only works for AT&T branded devices. I wanted to try and flash an AT&T image on the phone if possible. Is this possible? Can anyone offer some guidance on how to accomplish this?

I don't know what you mean by "did the carrier firmware". I'm looking to wipe and re-flash AT&T firmware on my device - it currently has an AT&T SIM card in it.

Yep, you can flash the AT&t firmware onto your unlocked device. You would have to download the firmware and then flash it with Odin, you can check the general section to learn more about this and we here can help you through it.
The other thing I was wondering is that I assume that FirstNet works on the AT&t firmware. Technically your phone will still not be an AT&t phone according to its IMEI number, but firmware-wise it will be just as an AT&t phone after you flash it.

I understand. So get ODIN and the AT&T firmware and just flash? I've done rooting before so familiar with ODIN for the most part, just wasn't sure if I needed a specific firmware version based on having an Unlocked device or not.
And to your wondering thought, FirstNet does work on the AT&T firmware and they WOULD still recognize my phone as an Unlocked device(by IMEI) as per the FirstNet tech support agent I just spoke with. However, I'm hoping that having the firmware would make the device more compatible with the FirstNet service

You just need the latest AT&T firmware that you can find(BRK2 I believe, unless the latest pie firmware has already been posted somewhere), and you will need the patched version of Odin that will allow you to flash a different firmware than your device came with. It seems like AT&t firmwares can be hard to find for some reason but there was this thread which has not been updated I don't think: https://forum.xda-developers.com/ga...ck-official-attoding965usqu3brj5-s9-t3866823. But it looks like that would at least get you over to AT&t firmware and then you could get OTA updates up to current hopefully. You might want to ask in that thread for further instructions on firmware and how to flash everything properly. You would want to use CSC instead of HOME-CSC, to wipe and fully set up the phone, and there is something which I don't know about called USERDATA, which I think might need to be found and flashed also.
Does anyone have the international model working on cricket? Could a firmware flash make it work?
