I have a Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 with TWRP and CM11 on it that I need to recover some data off of. The tablet turns on, but the LCD screen is broken, so I can't enter my password or anything like that. How would I access it through my PC without having to input anything through the screen?
I do have TWRP, but again, can't do much on the tablet end. (Possibly go through terminal on PC?)
Any ideas?
I had most of my stuff on the micro SD, so I have all of that. However, I did also have some stuff on the internal memory.

Click to collapse
If you can get it booted to TWRP, your PC should detect it and you should be able to access your storage.
Okidoke, I'll try that. Thanks!
How to Recover Deleted Files from Android Tablet on Mac
Tablets are really powerful devices for enhancing your productivity and online experience whether for business use or life in general. Smaller than a laptop and bigger than a smart phone, a tablet is perfect to take with you on the go. However the fact you cannot ignore or deny is that, data loss on Android tablet always happens due to various reasons, like accidental deletion, rooting, software update, factory reset, and so on.
Step 1: Download Android Tablet Recovery Mac. Once the download is complete, double-click the .exe file to install it on your Mac. Run the software and choose the file types that you want to recover.
Step 2: Connect Android Tablet to Mac. Use the USB cable to connect your Android tablet to your Mac. Once connected successfully, click “Next” to start scanning the deleted or lost data on the tablet.
Step 3: Preview and Recover Data from Android Tablet. When scan is over, you can preview all recoverable photos, videos, contacts, messages, etc. in details and selectively recover them to your Mac.

Nexus 9 to PC
Hi, this is my first post on any forum anywhere! usually i can google my way out of the problem, but i am stumped - it might be possible there is not a solution......
I have a nexus 9 with Word app, on which i create documents for work in .docx format. i need to transfer them to my PC for printing and further editing VIA USB as work policy won't allow the tablet to connect to work wifi or to use Cloud transfer.
I connect usb as MTP, see 'Internal Storage' - cannot find any of the word docs anywhere, i have tried to save them on a bunch of different places in the Nexus but still no joy. All of the guides i have seen end at the 'internal storage ' part and then say 'just transfer between pc and device'. I have been able to transfer pc to android and edit on Nexus, but then re-reading the file on the PC it is flagged as 'corrupted'.
Is there some software for the pc i need, or is it simply $$%"£"""£££ and i need to get a MS tablet for work?
thanks for any help!
Have you tried OTG cable? I normally use the cloud option or just have my work saved via email, but you certainly have the option to connect an OTG cable to your device with a flashdrive and use a file manager app to transfer files over while avoiding corruption.
Hello,
The screen of my Asus Zenfone Zelfie is broken and does not work at all, but the phone is still functional: when I connect the USB cable to my laptop I can access some files like pictures ... But it seems that I cannot see everything like system files or programs folders. I need to recover some program files. Does anybody know how to do this?
Thanks in advance,
Eric
Hi all,
Today I smashed my company phone - old Myphone Cube. I dont want to repair him, I will get newer BUT I want to restore my data.
I have there important photos on internal storage + ALL MY CONTACTS.
I tried everything with adb via stock recovery (update via ADB), which gives me ADB error: closed (no matter which version of adb I use.
In stock recovery is also an option "backup data", so I made an backup to sdcard. On sdcard in computer I see 3,5GB big file with .backup extension. I unpacked it via 7-zip and all I see is userdata_20100101_000113.backup. I cannot unpack it via anything.
Iam very lost. I tried many tools and stuff, but nothing helped me do something with ADB or this backup file. I also tried USB OTG to connect mouse, because LCD is still working, only touch doesnt, but this phone doesnt support OTG. I tried also My Phone explorer, but sadly, I dont have turned on USB debugging.
Iam playing with idea to buy digitizer for 10 bucks of ebay and do it this way, If any of those metods will not work.
Any ideas please?
Thank you, Martin!
So the problem is my Windows 10 system does not show the Mate 10Pro folders, any of that. Instead I am suggested to install Huawei program for file managment.
Yes I do choose USB file transfer on the phone but that does not help either.
It's the first time in the very long time I have such trouble with Androod phone. I also had P9 in the past but no issues.
There is an issue with driving signing and windows 10, there is a registry fix for it, that may help your issue. It's in the mankindtw rebranding thread in the sides section
