i spend all day to this problem but still cannot figure it out
first, i use miui latest 2.3 rom, then flashing ics kb5 modem using cwm
then it cannot detect sim card,
it can search the phone provider but cannot commit to my phone provider, it just said i can not connect to it
so i try to flash another modem , changing rom ( cm7 all not work)using cwm
and try using odin3 to flash back to stock rom, still saying i have not insert sim card.

Help Official CyanogenMod 11 Nightlies [4.4.4] [GT-I9100]

Hello,
I install this rom just fine.
But when I put my SIM card, I get my code, then nothing is happening.
It says "enter the PIN code of the SIM card"
"The SIM card is locked"
But I tried to put my SIM card in another notebook and it works.
Anyone know whence can this bug?

Try a different rom. Did the sim work fine on your previous rom?

I try with a different rom, i put [ROM][5.1.1][I9100] CyanogenMod 12.1 [06/17] but the problem is always present. I don't know where does the problem.
In the previou rom (origine rom) the sim work fine and no problem.

My guess is that the install process didn't go smoothly. Revert back to JB 4.1.2 stock then reflash and redownload custom ROM making sure to wipe properly.

No IMEI No Baseband no sim read

I recently purchased a HTC one M9 that had CellCom service but it worked with my Verizon nano sim card. I have s-off and am supercid i flashed verizon htc one m9 mm firmware had to be supercid before it let me do that. It booted fine but i noticed it wouldn't read my sim card so i installed twrp and RR N custom rom hoping it would fix it but it didn't. I now have unknown IMEI, Unknown IMEISV, unknown baseband, unknown Bluetooth address. Anyone know of a way to fix this where all my stuff will show again and it will read my sim card again? Everything else works on it wifi, camera, audio, ect. Please any help will be needed. I tried flashing the stock firmware that came with the phone from CellCom but after it flashes it gets a bootloop. That is through the sd card method in download mode of the 0PJAIMG.zip file.

I am not sure but try to flash stock rom which includes modem image.
OR
Flash the original firmware. (Which was installed when you received your phone)
Ok thanks. Think it would be better to try to flash in fastboot instead of using the sd card method?

Yes. If you know how to flash in fastboot mode then flash it in that way.
Same thing happen to me, its very simple to fix it, just download your phone's modem and flash it via Recovery, And thats all, make sure the modem is for ur device, else its ain't gonna work.......

Sim card slot problem.

When downloading a rom with flashtool, a download error popped up, after 2 trials, the rom went on normal only he can not see the slots of the sim cards anymore. I tried with different roms and flashtol and the same, I had a backup copy of the rom and restored also does not see sloto sim. Is it still possible to revive the phone?

Will flashing a stock modem allow me to use a SIM card on a custom ROM that was not w

I am not a professional and don't know much about how a modem is supposed to work or what a modem even is.
I have a SM-J500F (j5lte) and recently I installed various custom ROMs on it. They seemed to work fine. But my SIM card was unusable on every single one of them. For your information, my SIM card is a JIO 4G SIM card (Indian). Jio is a SIM card that ONLY supports calling via VoLTE. Now, out of the ROMs I flashed, some explicitly stated- "VoLTE works" or something like that. Yet I had no luck. Therefore, I am back to stock now. I can easily call/message using the same SIM card.
Now my question is- If I flash the stock modem in a custom ROM, will the SIM be usable?
Thanks in advance.
