No IMEI No Baseband no sim read - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I recently purchased a HTC one M9 that had CellCom service but it worked with my Verizon nano sim card. I have s-off and am supercid i flashed verizon htc one m9 mm firmware had to be supercid before it let me do that. It booted fine but i noticed it wouldn't read my sim card so i installed twrp and RR N custom rom hoping it would fix it but it didn't. I now have unknown IMEI, Unknown IMEISV, unknown baseband, unknown Bluetooth address. Anyone know of a way to fix this where all my stuff will show again and it will read my sim card again? Everything else works on it wifi, camera, audio, ect. Please any help will be needed. I tried flashing the stock firmware that came with the phone from CellCom but after it flashes it gets a bootloop. That is through the sd card method in download mode of the 0PJAIMG.zip file.

I am not sure but try to flash stock rom which includes modem image.
OR
Flash the original firmware. (Which was installed when you received your phone)

Ok thanks. Think it would be better to try to flash in fastboot instead of using the sd card method?

Yes. If you know how to flash in fastboot mode then flash it in that way.

Same thing happen to me, its very simple to fix it, just download your phone's modem and flash it via Recovery, And thats all, make sure the modem is for ur device, else its ain't gonna work.......

[Q] no sim card error

Specifics of my phone are Rogers unlocked/rooted.
Was functioning perfectly fine with stock rogers rom, i tried to flash saurom, that's when it went to ****.
My phone hasn't recognized the sim card since, giving me a no sim error. I've tried flashing odin stock rogers and stock kernel, CWM the rogers modem, etc.
Nothing has fixed it thus far... ready to throw this thing against a wall
I'm able to put my sim card in another phone and it functions just fine. I've even taken a sim card from that other phone, and put it into my Note, and it worked... But my native sim card doesn't like my Note anymore?..
Anyone have any suggestions?..
can you try changing another Rogers sim card or unlock first. it's only 15$ to network/factory unlock at cellunlocket.net
it's already unlocked. i've stated that i put another card in the phone and it functions fine. and put the same card into another phone and it functions fine.. but this card gives me this blasted error.
If you go to settings >> about phone do you have a baseband or does it say unknown?
If you go to status (under about phone), do you have an unknown IMEI and unkown IMEI SV?
That's the first place to start.

Sounds like a finicky modem.
Do you have the stock modem EFS or another version you could try?

I've flashed and reflashed the rogers modem over and over again.. Not sure how it can still be a modem issue?
I went out and got a brand new ROGERS LTE cim card today to replace the one that i thought was faulty... same issue. I've tried two non-lte cards from other providers and they work perfectly fine.. yet my rogers card doesn't? :S

I have absolutely zero experience flashing to rogers. I will tell you my experience though. Hopefully, it might give you some insight.
My i717 was flashed from AT&T to a T-mobile radio. On the stock AT&T rom, no radio would work. This included the original radio firmware I had downloaded from XDA and other places as well.
I flashing to a GB rom, Sauron in my case fixed the issue. If I flashed to ICS, I had to get an ICS compatible radio. If I flashed back to the AT&T rom, nothing works. It seems to be irreversible, despite what everyone on here says. I know I'll get flack for it, but I've tried it a few times. Maybe I have a special phone? LOL
I would say back up your EFS w/ EFS Pro (it worked for me), then try flashing to something else, even AT&T or T-mobile. I think you'd get 2G speeds at least. I'm not familiar with Rogers bands, so I don't know what radios you can flash to or what basebands are compatible. Maybe someone could chime in on that topic?
As long as you back up your EFS, if you're careful and find a working radio, you should be ok and you should be able to revert and flash away.
Does anyone out there have a working rogers radio? Help this guy out!
Thanks for the reply. As per what you've said, I've already tried a bunch of that.
I've tried flashing to both Bell and AT&T stocks. No dice. I've tried swapping the modems out as well to their. No dice.
As stated, I've even gotten a brand new sim card today. That card works perfectly fine in my backup phone (which isn't an LTE device, don't know if that matters?).
Im having this same problem..
I had a data plan on my sim card.
AT&T plan
and ever since I tried to root it...and i accediently wiped sd card
it says NO SIM CARD FOUND ever time it starts..
no sim card
Suddenly today, no sim card msg appears.
My samsung galaxy note i717 (Rogers) phone is std and never been altered.
I checked this thread and no answers appear.
Will contact rogers.
i have same problem AT&T I717
i tried different firmware like Rogers Telus and AT&T As well but problem is still there
and also i checked Hardware nothing wrong with hardware side i have same phone i replace SIM Socket but dos't work either
any Ida about this problem
Thanks
My first note I got did this also. Lucky it was 10 minutes after walking out of the store. They swapped out out for me and haven't had it happen again. Most likely, its the phone. Revert back to stock and send it in for warranty if possible.

[Q] HOX+ WiFi/SIM/Bluetooth Error

Hi Guys,
I desperately need help, i have a new HTC One X+ bought online from Hong Kong, I unlocked the bootloader through HTCDev and then tried to root the device using RootBootV5, this was all with the stock rom installed.
All of a sudden my sim, bluetooth and wifi will not work, when I say wont work I mean the phone looks like it has no sim inserted, and the bluetooth and wifi wont even switch on.
I tried wiping the rom with CWM and installing AOSP ROM, the rom installed fine but the problem persists.
Do I need to re-flash the radios or something?
Please can someone help me!!

I had the same problem on my first go. What I did was re-locking the bootloader and then reflash the original firmware (from desktop). All worked fine again. Then I unlocked again and rooted (also via rootbootv5). Maybe it would have been enough just to flashboot a propoer boot.img and any of the fine stock-derivative roms... However, I do not advise to use CWM. I had odd results with that (including failing nandroid). Since I use TWRP as recovery, all is just fine...
Mmm was thinking of doing that but I couldn't find the original RUU anywhere on the net, any ideas?

However, I needed to subscribe to the site and it is one of those subscriptions you cannot cancel, so I ended up blocking my credit card and ordering a new one... quite a hassle. This was roughly a month ago, maybe your lucky and there are mirrors now...

Full signal but cannot make calls

Hi, i have about 1 month trying to get work a LS990 that i bought in ebay to sim unlocked and use it outside the US, i have followed every possible guide in this forum and still cannot make it work.
I am using the file replacement method with the modified files, and it works, the sim card is recognized and if i go to the network info appears the carrier network info. I get full signal but when i try to make a call, it ends immediately and appears the message "call ended".
I have tried over and over again, setting the RAT mode to automatic and Network mode to automatic, tried with ZVA,ZV8 and ZV4, same result, tried with different sim cards of different carriers also.
The bands are compatible with the carriers where i live, since i have acknowledgement of other people with this model working ok, what i am missing here?
Thanks in advance.
Just flash one of the GSM roms like Killaprime's. I recommend V4.7 as V5 and V6 have major problems/Ui glitches. And 4.7 is the closest to stock LG software
Those file replace methods never work

Just flash it and pop in the sim card? I already tried the version 6.0 and it didn't work. Any other steps required to get it work?

Try V4.7, and yes just clean flash it and you're good to go

Ok, i just flash the rom, same result, i got signal but cannot make or receive calls, when a try make a call after 1 or 2 seconds it ends automatically, one thing i notice is that now when i try to change the network mode to any of the GSM bands, it changes successfully, with other stock or customized roms it always fail.
Let me know if i am wrong, i notice that the IMEI number seems to not be a "normal" IMEI. Can that be what the problem is?
I just fix it, indeed the problem was that rare IMEI, luckily i had a full backup before the very first rom flash including the EFS folder, everything is working ok now.

help flashed the new firmware G900TUVU1FOG6

can anyone help me here. I flashed the new firmware G900TUVU1FOG6 firmware and then flashed the twrp recovery and then installed mavrik 9.6. after doing this I am now getting a "please install a tmobile sim card. what can I do if anything
Are you on t-mobile?
is there a sim card in the phone when you flashed all this?
Taken directly from @muniz_ri
Known Issues:
- TWRP seems to have a difficult time flashing the modem properly resulting in no signal/no sim. If that happens power down completely before entering Download Mode and Odin flash the modem included in the OP.

Please see this post for the modem to re-flash:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/tmobile-galaxy-s5/development/how-to-update-to-g900tof6-5-1-1-pc-t3141404
Also, take out your SIM before flashing the modem. For some reason it makes a difference.

Sim card slot problem.

When downloading a rom with flashtool, a download error popped up, after 2 trials, the rom went on normal only he can not see the slots of the sim cards anymore. I tried with different roms and flashtol and the same, I had a backup copy of the rom and restored also does not see sloto sim. Is it still possible to revive the phone?
