[Q] HOX+ WiFi/SIM/Bluetooth Error - HTC One X+

Hi Guys,
I desperately need help, i have a new HTC One X+ bought online from Hong Kong, I unlocked the bootloader through HTCDev and then tried to root the device using RootBootV5, this was all with the stock rom installed.
All of a sudden my sim, bluetooth and wifi will not work, when I say wont work I mean the phone looks like it has no sim inserted, and the bluetooth and wifi wont even switch on.
I tried wiping the rom with CWM and installing AOSP ROM, the rom installed fine but the problem persists.
Do I need to re-flash the radios or something?
Please can someone help me!!

I had the same problem on my first go. What I did was re-locking the bootloader and then reflash the original firmware (from desktop). All worked fine again. Then I unlocked again and rooted (also via rootbootv5). Maybe it would have been enough just to flashboot a propoer boot.img and any of the fine stock-derivative roms... However, I do not advise to use CWM. I had odd results with that (including failing nandroid). Since I use TWRP as recovery, all is just fine...

Mmm was thinking of doing that but I couldn't find the original RUU anywhere on the net, any ideas?

However, I needed to subscribe to the site and it is one of those subscriptions you cannot cancel, so I ended up blocking my credit card and ordering a new one... quite a hassle. This was roughly a month ago, maybe your lucky and there are mirrors now...

Touchscreen don´t response but is not bricked

Hi all,
just a short question: Had you ever have a problem with your touchscreen? I flashed the new HC build on my Flyer and now the screen don´t work anymore. I can´t unlock the device or even use it. Now it´s a dig. pricture framefor the HTC lockscreen
Any ideas how i can solve it?
If your s-off, try flashing a custom HC ROM and see if the problem persists. If it's still a problem and your able to get in and out of recovery and bootloader, you may want to try to get back on GB and see if it's still happening. If all else fails, return it to stock s-on and get that ish sent in for repairs.
Tried some of the custom roms but they don´t work. If i do a downgrade to GB the problem still exist. And i can´t sent it to repair cause i have a pre-release version without microSD Card Slot. No support for my baby...
Anyways, thx for your help.
if you are going to strip it out, take some pics, would be nice to know how it comes to peices..
Pre-released version of Flyer?!
Maybe the difference between the retail version kills your device

Think so too. But i don´t have the pre-release ROM anymore. Everything but the screen works. I have even 3G connection.
Want to bump this up. I bought a new 3G Flyer but want to get my "special Flyer" working. Any ideas how to get the screen working again?

[Q] Cell radio wont turn on

Hi all
I dont know why / how but my cell radio suddenly went off and wont turn back on.
I am rooted BL unlocked on Nottachtrix 1.3.1 ROM.
I am also SIM unlocked and I live in India. I have the AT&T atrix.
What might have caused the issue
I was messing around in *#*#4636#*#* with the radio band.
I had this signal boosting app which I use but cant find it on the market to link it now. I 've been using this app for a while so dont know why it would mess up now.
I am not sure if these are what caused the issue but just letting u know
Things I have done so far
Battery pull
Different sim card / different network
I tried flashing the ROM again with full wipe but still no luck
Flashed CM7 Ba2tf and the problem persists.. can I rule out that it is software related?
Everything else is working fine.
I am out of ideas and help is very much appreciated.
Thanks
SOLUTION
The Easiest Fix for this issue is Flashing the right baseband in CWM recovery.
The radio is flashed separately from the Android os. Try a new baseband. However be sure to get the right one for your phone.

Issue solved. I 'll detail what I did so it can help others.
Yes. Selecting the USA Band is what caused the issue.
I dint know that basebands could be flashed on Atrix ROMs. I wish I 've known it sooner. Would 've saved me a lot of trouble. Anyway I went with the SBF method.
I had the 4.5.91 earlier but I went with 4.5.141 to be safe.
Everything went smooth but at the end RSD lite said "Please manually reboot this phone" and the phone went into a boot loop at the M logo. I looked around and after a while found that a Wipe fixes it in stock recovery.
1. Disconnected the phone
2. Pulled out the battery.
3. Rebooted and went into stock recovery.
4. Wiped data and rebooted.
5. Got to home screen fine. Rebooted once again to make sure everything is fine.
Then inserted sim card and I had a signal. Everthing is working great.
Bro i have solution.... Btw... You must have flashed the wrong rom.... Kindly download nd install other one ..or use custom cm14 ROM or miui for best experience..

Back to stock to activate my sim card, how to....

Not sure which forum this should be in so i'm asking it here. Apparently, I can't activate my new sim card for the 4G unless i'm stock, unrooted, locked bootloader. I guess I jumped the gun after I got my phone, but before I got the sim card and rooted, unlocked, etc. I think I know the steps to take to get it back to compltely stock, but I want to make sure.
I think I need to run the script and relock the bootloader, then flash the stock RUU file.
Is that correct? Is that the correct order? Am I missing any steps?
Thanks a bunch for any speedy repsonses because i'm in a bind right now and have to get this resolved by morning.

I'm pretty sure being unrooted is not a requirement. Just install this ROM and boot the phone with your SIM inserted. It should activate fine.
OK. I will try that because I am having a heck of a time getting activated on my CM rom. Even had a Verizon tech trying to help me for over an hour.
I see that ROM requires me to flash a new boot.img. When I rooted, the directions said to flash dirtyracuns Hboot. Will flashing this one effect anything? If I change ROMs, do I need to flash DR hboot again?
Thanks for the info...

Boot and HBoot are two very different things. Flashing different boot images will not affect your engineered hboot.
You definitely don't want to talk to vzw reps if you're running cm. The more tech support requests they get from users running non-official builds, the less likely they will be to ever allow phones with unlocked bootloaders on their system.
Turns out my problem was from a borked radio. Being new to this, I didn't even know that could happen. Saw mention of it in another thread when I was just browsing around. Thought maybe that might be my problem so I followed the directions for fixing a borked radio and got connected right away. Boy this forum is helpful. Thank you.
BTW, what is the best network setting to use if I am in the US only, Global, LTE\CDMA or GSM\UMTS?

I am having a similar activation problem. What did you do to fix the radio? My problem started a few days ago.
I found the RUU for just the radio and applied it. No change. I get a LTE signal but the phone doesn't know it's own number and thinks it is roaming.
I followed the steps in this thread to restore my radio: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=45476579#post45476579
Unfortunately, I never was able to get the radio to work with any of the CM based ROMs so I have ended up using a stock based ROM. ViperLTE. It is an excellent ROM and works great, but I got the phone recently so that I could run CM ROMs. Had I known I was going to have so many problems, I would have waited until February when my upgrade date came up and got one of the newer phones. I guess I still can, but I'd hate to waste the money I paid for this phone so soon.
sim issue
Turns out my SIM was actually bad. When you looked in the about, the SIM id number didn't show up. It had worked under 10.2 stable for several weeks before it stopped working. It had gotten worse over a week or so. At first a reboot would fix it. I did a clean flash of CM 11 at this point. After replacing the SIM the id number showed up but still couldn't make calls.
The problem went away after restoring a CM 10.2 back that had worked. I then did a dirty flash of CM 11 over it, with the kit kat gapps. It all worked out fine. I am speculating that a clean flash of CM 11, might not work.

Need help please!

Hi everyone. I'm having some serious (or at least I think so) problems with my I777. I live in Colombia, and I bought it over two years ago, had it shipped over by a friend, unlocked. Up until today I'd been using it normally, without any major problems.
However, the last couple of days it started behaving strangely, (turning itself off every once in a while, losing data, etc), so I decided to update my rom today.
I tried to install a new CyanogenMod 4.4 from this site, but I got some kind of status 7 error and it didn't behave properly after that.
Next thing I did to try to fix it was flash a stock JB 4.1.2 rom via Odin.
It worked, but that's when the major problem struck... Apparently my phone got locked for AT&T again or something. It's not recognizing my sim-card anymore. It shows the "no-sim" notification on the top bar, yet it also shows it has a signal (no data, just phone signal), even when my sim-card isn't inserted. When I go in the settings to try to access the mobile networks it says insert sim card even when it's in there.
I did a lot of searching and I used GalaxSimUnlock, which I got from this site too, and it confirms my phone is unlocked.
So basically... What the heck happened?? Is it possible that after three years of using it perfectly with my Colombian sim, the AT&T lock just "came back" or something after flashing a stock rom?
Any clue guys?
If you used galaxsimunlock the unlock is permanent.

After you flashed back to stock, did you try to root again and flash another custom ROM?
I could be wrong on this, but the AT&T stock firmware may not be giving you the choice to register the SIM or change the APN settings for you particular network. I can't confirm this though as I never flash to stock long enough to actually use it. I always root and go back to something else immediately afterwards.
The only suggestion I have is to go back to a custom ROM and try again.
If you are trying to go to KitKat, be sure you have the newest compatible recovery (CWM or TWRP) as the versions of those that work with JB will not allow you to flash a KitKat ROM. There are plenty of threads that will tell you what versions you need. If it's an SGH-i777 model then all you should need to get the proper recovery is to flash one of the two KK compatible kernels as the recovery is packaged with them.
Good luck!

No IMEI No Baseband no sim read

I recently purchased a HTC one M9 that had CellCom service but it worked with my Verizon nano sim card. I have s-off and am supercid i flashed verizon htc one m9 mm firmware had to be supercid before it let me do that. It booted fine but i noticed it wouldn't read my sim card so i installed twrp and RR N custom rom hoping it would fix it but it didn't. I now have unknown IMEI, Unknown IMEISV, unknown baseband, unknown Bluetooth address. Anyone know of a way to fix this where all my stuff will show again and it will read my sim card again? Everything else works on it wifi, camera, audio, ect. Please any help will be needed. I tried flashing the stock firmware that came with the phone from CellCom but after it flashes it gets a bootloop. That is through the sd card method in download mode of the 0PJAIMG.zip file.

I am not sure but try to flash stock rom which includes modem image.
OR
Flash the original firmware. (Which was installed when you received your phone)
Ok thanks. Think it would be better to try to flash in fastboot instead of using the sd card method?

Yes. If you know how to flash in fastboot mode then flash it in that way.
Same thing happen to me, its very simple to fix it, just download your phone's modem and flash it via Recovery, And thats all, make sure the modem is for ur device, else its ain't gonna work.......
