Hi All,
A friend gave me his broken Pixel 6 phone to see if I could fix it (I hope that it can)
Would any of you know what I can do about the issue below?
Fastboot Mode
I do not even know how I reached this mode. Hope this helps in debugging the issue

I tried it via fastboot mode ("Restart Bootloader" option and when in recovery mode I typed the command) and it leads to the initial video.

I think that is different. The adb command should have the device stay in bootloader mode so you might be able to flash the latest factory image.
Got it to work. For future reference I needed to install the USB drivers and the Android Flash tool worked perfectly, thank you very much!

Hey,
I recently got a cheap, slightly used chinese version Nokia N1. But because without the Google Services its pretty much useless to me, I want to root it and install a custom ROM.
I followed 2 tutorials:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/nokia-n1/help/nokia-n1-root-t3125771
and
https://forum.xda-developers.com/nokia-n1/general/play-store-howto-t3118965
But I always get stuck on the part with the Recovery Launcher.

To give some background, here are the steps I did:
Because fastboot and the launcher won't see my device if its in MTP or PTP, I disabled both. That seems to work fine.
I "unlocked" oem in the developer settings and also allowed USB debugging.
I started the Recovery Launcher with admin privileges and used option T4.
It boots into recovery mode, but I just get errors all over the place bacause the device is still locked. So i just typed "fastboot oem unlock". Then T4 again.
Thats where this error occurs. From what I read, this should put me into a CWM recovery session. But it doesn't. It just stays in the fastboot mode window.
I'm pretty new to this android modding thing, so don't expect to much knowledge from me.
with much thanks

The thing is, there are no other solutions out there I really know about. I searched google up and down and got no real result.
I think my problem is that my android version isn't 5.0.x, like almost every english tutorial suggests. It is 5.1.1.
oh God... my fault sorry
Hey,
I want to install a costum rom to get a free of bloatware system, but I have problems with rooting my device and installing TWRP. I tried some tutorials today, but none worked for the same reason. For example this one: https://forum.xda-developers.com/m4-aqua/general/root-t3421932 I have a e2303 so I downloaded the e2303 file and went into the adb folder opened cmd connected my phone with pc while I pressed volume down. after that I copy pasted the command "fastboot devices" but it didn't show me any phone, so I went to the next step and copy pasted the command "fastboot flash recovery recovery.img" , but cmd only said <waiting devices>, so I did that what a different guide said (connecting the phone with volume up), but even that didn't worked. I installed adb with adb setup 1.4.3 and answered every question with "y".
I unlocked the bootloader with Flashtool, and it worked. I even relocked and unlocked the phone again.
My phone is a E2303 with build number 26.3.A.1.33 on android 6.0.1, which should be marshmallow.
That is the adb folder where I tried it:

yeah, I used that tool but the phone didn't use the drivers automatically. which rom has the fewest bugs and no bloatware and is optimized?

No one. But you can install stock, root it, install one of the bloatware-deleting scripts (I can provide you one), install SMK and then it'll be fine )))

Greetings, I own a tablet that has MT6592 Chipset. It has CPU (Cortex A7) and GPU(Mali-450).
It runs on kitkat 4.4.2. I want to flash a Custom ROM on it.
I have the Custom ROM File, but i am unable to unlock the bootloader to install TWRP(Easy TWRP maker).
Using ADB i tried to unlock the bootloader.
I typed in the command : fastboot oem unlock ,
Then i get a message on my screen saying, "Press Volume up to unlock (This will void warranty)"
When i do so, it shows a fail message.

I think you haven't installed correct fastboot drivers.
This "bug" is known at some MTK-devices. There are some solutions for a few devices, by using patched boot.img, but none for this. Did you find a solution yet?
Magisk patched boot image for Android 12 firmware 58.2.A.2.90
Works on my XQ-AS72 without bootloop

Usage
A fresh installation is recommended.
After you flash the stock 58.2.A.2.90, turn off your device then press and hold volume+ button while connecting to USB to enable the fastboot mode.
Open fastboot and type command below
Code:
fastboot flash boot_a magisk_patched_boot-58.2.A.2.90.img
fastboot flash boot_b magisk_patched_boot-58.2.A.2.90.img
then reboot and initialize your device.
For those who miss MagiskHide and Modules-Repo in old version DO NOT update magisk to 24.0+ after install
I put 1II XQ-AT52_Customized TW_58.2.A.2.90-R2C as you instructed
It also works, thanks!
I'm glad the root was successful, but the wireless charging will be lost!

The 5II does not include wireless charging hardware. If you can provide the kernel from 1II firmware, it should look like boot_********.sin so that we can repack it.
Works on my XQ-AT51 (Sony Xperia 1 MKII) with Android 12 ( 58.2.A.7.55)
Thanks!
Works on my Xepria 5 II with 58.2.A.7.55 too. Thank you.
# Edit after further using
Seems like it breaks the wifi hotspot functionality. It can startup a wifi hotspot, but other devices cant connect to that wifi.
Hi I'm new here, is unlock bootloader necessary for this? Thanks for your reply
So i'm trying to boot my Xperia 1 II with XQ-AT51_Customized US_58.2.A.7.93-R3C which is its latest firmware. I managed to finally get it to not bootloop with this file but magisk is showing as N/A for root. Here is the .sin like you asked for. I cannot get magisk to generate a bootable boot image and was wondering what you were doing to get yours to boot.
boot_X-FLASH-ALL-2389.sin
Hello,
Can we root the Android tablet YC-83T?
Specs: https://portworld-solu.com/portfolio-item/yc-83t-portable-8-inch-android-10-wifi-tablet/
Runs Android 10 (go)
Ram: 1GB
Storage: 32gb
It's not locked down, as in it has google services and it can install APK files
I don't think so, I can't seem to find a custom recovery, you might be able to use adb sideload to install magisk or superuser though, good luck though

lucky you, what you planning on rooting a tablet for?
oh and what model does it say you have in your settings?
YC-38T
might have an idea, does the tablet bootloop whilst adb is on? or does it just not turn off at all?
only with adb on, i can disconnect cable, force off the device, and boot it back up then it'll turn on fine
so it doesn't turn off at all?
no

It could have a non-standard VID/PID on the bootloader.
Is it even detected as anything?
What does DeviceManager say?
hm, if possible, can you go to recovery and use adb sideload? you should probably do the devicemanager thing first though
