Can we root this tablet? - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello,
Can we root the Android tablet YC-83T?
Specs: https://portworld-solu.com/portfolio-item/yc-83t-portable-8-inch-android-10-wifi-tablet/
Runs Android 10 (go)
Ram: 1GB
Storage: 32gb
It's not locked down, as in it has google services and it can install APK files

I don't think so, I can't seem to find a custom recovery, you might be able to use adb sideload to install magisk or superuser though, good luck though

running adb reboot bootloader gets stuck on the boot logo, nice

lucky you, what you planning on rooting a tablet for?
oh and what model does it say you have in your settings?

YC-38T

might have an idea, does the tablet bootloop whilst adb is on? or does it just not turn off at all?

only with adb on, i can disconnect cable, force off the device, and boot it back up then it'll turn on fine

so it doesn't turn off at all?

no

It could have a non-standard VID/PID on the bootloader.
Is it even detected as anything?
What does DeviceManager say?

hm, if possible, can you go to recovery and use adb sideload? you should probably do the devicemanager thing first though

[Q] HTC One M8 rooted stuck on endless loop after downloading Multirom

My phone is an HTC One M8 running Android Revolution HD and TWRP Recovery. I recently downloaded Multirom thinking that I could hold multiple roms just by downloading the app. The app told me to reboot into Recovery mode to finish installation, and I rebooted into recovery. The only roms that were available to boot in was Internal so I just chose that. Turns out Internal will always get me stuck into the htcONE boot screen even after 1 day of waiting. If I try to go into bootloader mode and go into factory reset, it brings me back to the MultiROM menu everytime. I cannot even access the phone from the computer to edit the files. Please help, thanks!
@sangothemango
When you say when you try booting into bootloader do you mean your recovery as far as doing a factory reset?
Try power+volume-up till it goes dark and as soon as it goes dark just hold volume-down till the actual hboot/bootloader comes up.

If you can get the above example type of screen to come up than you can save your device. Hopefully your familiar with adb/fastboot cause that's what's going to fix it.
Unless you already have S-OFF ?
Yes I can get into that screen, but if I choose anything, it says going into recovery mode and then nothing happens.

I want to install a costum rom, but I have problems with rooting and twrp installing

Hey,
I want to install a costum rom to get a free of bloatware system, but I have problems with rooting my device and installing TWRP. I tried some tutorials today, but none worked for the same reason. For example this one: https://forum.xda-developers.com/m4-aqua/general/root-t3421932 I have a e2303 so I downloaded the e2303 file and went into the adb folder opened cmd connected my phone with pc while I pressed volume down. after that I copy pasted the command "fastboot devices" but it didn't show me any phone, so I went to the next step and copy pasted the command "fastboot flash recovery recovery.img" , but cmd only said <waiting devices>, so I did that what a different guide said (connecting the phone with volume up), but even that didn't worked. I installed adb with adb setup 1.4.3 and answered every question with "y".
I unlocked the bootloader with Flashtool, and it worked. I even relocked and unlocked the phone again.
My phone is a E2303 with build number 26.3.A.1.33 on android 6.0.1, which should be marshmallow.
That is the adb folder where I tried it:

yeah, I used that tool but the phone didn't use the drivers automatically. which rom has the fewest bugs and no bloatware and is optimized?

No one. But you can install stock, root it, install one of the bloatware-deleting scripts (I can provide you one), install SMK and then it'll be fine )))

You will have to find a stock rom for this device is the oem even released one. Just a heads up. Just because you got an android device doesn't mean it can be modded. Do your research first.

how do i install it
First thing to do is to check wether the bootloader is unlocked or not
If not unlock it
Get an official rom from huawei website
http://update.hicloud.com:8180/TDS/data/files/p3/s15/G1276/g104/v83920/f1/full/update.zip
Use huawei extractor
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2433454
and extract boot.img+system.img+recovery.img
Then reboot in bootloader (vol - + power)
Connect to ur pc with proper drivers
use fastboot to flash them properly (fastboot ,drivers could be found in google )
In terminal
Fastboot flash boot c:\boot.img
Fastboot flash recovery c:\recovery.img
Fastboot flash system c:\system.img
Reboot u're now back to stock
Fastboot reboot

Samsung A3 medical device Root/Custom Firmware?

Hello,
I am new to this forum but maybe I have an interesting thing.
I found a Samsung A3 (SM-310F 16GB) wich was going to trash. It seems it acts as a medical device for monitoring heart diseases. It has a custom launcher loaded on wich you can only load the monitoring program. It has the Android top bar with time bluetooth-status battery and so on, but you can´t swipe down to access preferences or else. You also can´t take screenshot due to security guidelines and you can´t connect to it with a PC.
So my question, is it possible to do a root on this device. Or to flash it with a stock firmware to use it as anormal phone?
I´m wondering if anyone has an idea about this.
Thanks
Dirk
The door to any Android device is ADB ( read: Android Debug Bridge ). If device isn't accessable by means of ADB then you can NOTHING do with it, IMHO.

Ok, so how do I know if it is accessable with ADB?
And just for understanding, how do you customize a normal android device (smartphone), that it won´t act like a phone anymore? Just custom firmware, or custom chips?

You on Windows computer
install the Android USB driver suitable to this phone
install ADB
Then you connect Windows computer and phone via USB-cable, power on phone, and run this ADB command
Code:
adb devices
Look also inside here.

Thanks. I tried this, but unfortunately it shows no device. By holding up and home at start, it boots into a firmware update mode. From here I can connect with adb in sideload mode. Don´t know if this is helpfull...
@igel81
If you can boot phone into ADB Sideload mode

then you can flash a ROM as a whole.

Too bad, it doesn´t work. It says "footer is wrong" and "signature verification failed". It seems you can only install roms signed by that medical company.

Would any of you know what I can do about the issue below?

I tried it via fastboot mode ("Restart Bootloader" option and when in recovery mode I typed the command) and it leads to the initial video.

I think that is different. The adb command should have the device stay in bootloader mode so you might be able to flash the latest factory image.
Got it to work. For future reference I needed to install the USB drivers and the Android Flash tool worked perfectly, thank you very much!
