hi all,
i bought a Samsung Galaxy A10s which automatically updated to Android 11.
here in this forum i searched for A10s but nothing found. is there any difference or A10 ROMS and hacks/apps can be used on A10s?
i am facing problem that some of the downloaded apps (apk) i can't install on it. how i can? i have enabled 'MyFiles' in "Biometrics and security -> install uknown apps" but when installing apk it is showing message: "There was a problem parsing the package"
please help me. if I have to use custom ROM then i have no idea how to's.
regards
You likely can't roll back to 10 which is where I would have stayed. I block OTA updates, always.
If you want to stay stock, return for a replacement and this time block OTA updates at the get go.
Scoped storage is active on Android 11 and all the headaches that go with it. Older apps are may not be compatible with it...

I just received my J5 Create JUC600 Android Mirror Control device and follows all the instructions to mirror my Verizon Galaxy S4 to Windows 7. During the connection process, it stops and the shield icon notification on my Android says it blocked an app from attempting to reach a restricted area.
I've searched everywhere on the forums trying to solve this, I hear there a bugs in the Samsung KNOX app causing this message to pop up frequently. I went in the app manager and force stopped all KNOX activity and it the connection still gets blocked.
I set the Android to allow apps from unknown sources and checked the debugging mode on. I even did a factory data reset on my Galaxy S4 as I heard this help some users fix a bug in the 4.3 update. Still no success.
Please help! Thanks everyone!
You need ROOT

Bare in mind, the following will void your warranty and failure to follow instructions explicitly could very well brick your device. That being said...
If you haven't already done so, you need to root your phone (instructions can be found here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1963806).
Installing SuperSU or Superuser (I highly recommend SuperSU) which ever you prefer will initially fail due to KNOX, easy enough, Go to "Settings", "More", "Application Manager", scroll right to "All" and forc stop each of the four instance of KNOX (as well as clear data where applicable). Go back to your apps list and run SuperSU (or Superuser if you chose to do such). Please note that I do use and have only ever used SuperSU so I am personally not sure if Superuser will work the same. When you start SuperSU it will notify you that ROOT has been blocked by KNOX and ask if you wish to disable it. Select yes, you will have to repeat the steps above afterwards to force stop all instance of KNOX and clear all data. Restart your phone and run a ROOT verifier of your liking to verify that you have ROOT. After this process is complete your J5 Android Mirror will finally work for you.
Samsung phones running 4.3+ with JUC600
Samsung phones running 4.3 and higher have the signal from the JUC600 cable blocked. The latest firmware version will prompt the installation of a different USB driver called the AoA driver in order to get around this issue. As long as the cable's firmware has been updated to 14.01.0124.00.00 and the software has been updated to match this driver should install automatically. You may need to cycle through USB connection types in order to get that driver installed correctly. There will be a notification on the phone's screen that asks if you want to allow juclink to run and you will need to hit ok. From there the mirror should work.
Google has issued a brand new Android 5.1.1 Factory Image file that should patch the StageFright Security bug forever. If you want to install a clean Lollipop OS on your tablet, then you should check all the info listed in this post.
The StageFright Security bug should’ve been fixed with the previous LMY48I Android 5.1.1 release, but that didn’t happen as tons of Nexus 10 users have reported that the security vulnerability was still there. If you want to be sure that this bug is fixed, then you should flash the latest LMY48M firmware version of Android 5.1.1 Lollipop OS on your tablet.
Installing a factory image on your will always remove all the data from your tablet and you should create backups before starting the flashing process. Read the following guidelines first:
use this post only with the Google Nexus 10 tablets.
– don’t try to update any other different tablets with the files that you will find in this post.
by installing this Android 5.1.1 LMY48M factory image you should know that the flashing process will remove all data from it.
– however, if your tablet is running a stock Android 5.1.1 LMY48I build that hasn’t been modified in any way, then you can use a small workaround in order to avoid the ‘factory reset’.
– more info on the update workaround can be found when you reach the tutorial instructions.
backup all the important files before starting the installation process.
enable USB Debugging for your tablet from its Developer Options menu.
– if you can’t find Developer Options under Settings menu, then you should enable it first: go to Settings> About Phone and tap 7 times on the Build Number section.
– return to Settings, scroll down, open Developer Options and find the USB Debugging option in order to enable it.
use this post only if you are an advanced user.
we cannot be blamed in case you end up losing any data in the process nor in case you brick your device.
check your Nexus 10 battery charge level and make sure that it is over 40%, it will prevent your device from powering down during installation.
read the whole tutorial and make sure that you won’t be skipping any steps, so that you will be able to complete the factory image installation at your first attempt.
I've used three different browsers to read this page in case I have some sort of content blocker active, and I see no tutorial in any of them...?
It's always nice to see people trying to help, and notifications of new ROMs are always welcome (though I installed LMY48M weeks ago), but there are already hundreds of tutorials showing how to upgrade a ROM - maybe you decided not to go ahead with the rest of your post?

I've had the same problem, plus now I have battery issues. The tablet won't fully charge and will randomly turn off after some unknown time of use.
This update has killed my battery.
Beware of this update!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! IT TOTALLY SCREWS YOUR NEXUS 10!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I´m reverting back to LMY47V because the newer updates are bricking my Nexus 10! I have flashed and reinstalled it 10 times by now, it just can´t handle this update! I think they did it for you to buy a new Nexus device by killing the Nexus 10!

Are you referring to build lmy48m or lmy48t?
I can't get to flash anything. Even after flashing another version, the old version just stays. I've tried everything. Formatting, erasing, downgrading, nothing works. I think my Nexus 10 is officially dead. It will boot up and like 1 minute after it just crashes and reboots again. I have read that others have this problem, could be that the motherboard is shot. Since there are no motherboards available, I can't even repair it. It lasted exactly 2 years, what a waste!
Well I just spent hours going through all the ota update from original jelly bean that it came with up to the latest lollipop build lmy48t and everything is working fine thus far.
The 5.0.1 Android unrooted tablet was sent to a service lab, where it came back from having its motherboard replaced, when for some reason its OS was downgraded to Android 4.4.4. Since then some apps do not work, such as TV apps (that worked fine before) - the tab cannot play movies and shows on those apps, although those apps are supposed to work on Android 4.3 and so on. Moreover, since then I cannot update my OS, tab saying that I have the latest version (which is obviously not true) and when going to the Tool Kit saying that "An error has encountered when installing the recommended incremental update pack". Factory Data Reset did not do anything. According to the Root Checker, the device was not rooted, although it seems to me that the lab has messed with my OS. What do you think? The lab says though that my OS is "beyond their control" and that they could not have touched it, just replaced the motherboard with an original one, suggesting me "just to wait" for the update to come out, which I am sure will never happen. Any suggestions how to solve this? Do you think that the lab has messed with my OS or what do you think happened here? Thanks a lot, guys!
Can anyone answer that?
Can anyone answer that please?
Hello there,
I own this phone for about a year. I bought it with Android 6.0.1 and Google suite working - I was able to sync my google account on it and use Google apps with no issue.
Since I did not receive any updates, I upgraded to Android 8.0.0 using Odin and a stock image from samsung-firmware.org namely C7018CHM1CRH2/,
which immediately updated OTA to C7018ZMU2CRI1.
All because I did not wanted to root my device.
Unfortunately this version is for CHM only, and I am stuck with a really nice phone, and a really unpleasant situation:
NO google services available
add Google account impossible
Google store not existing.
I tried
some apps for installing the google suite (one of them for Xiaomi, one "universal")
apks for google services (framework service, play service, authentication framework, contact sync, calendar sync, etc.) and for Google Play Store, some were installed, some not(auth & contact sync), with versions for Android 8.0.0
The visible result was that in the "Add Account" in settings, google appeared as an option - not working, though.
Can you advise on an alternative solution?
Would C7010 / 701F stock images work on C7018?
Thanks,
You can try installing a custom recovery and flashing an OpenGapps image to fix that... or try sideloading the apps onto the device.
Downgrade from Oreo to Nougat - failed. Odin <Auth> error, sw rev check fail
I did try to downgrade the Oreo update to nougat in order to avoid the original issue of this thread - No Google suite on Samsung Galaxy C7 Pro SM-C7018.
And the result was very disappointing: soft bricked it.
Stuck on loading loop. Entered bootloader from recovery mode.
Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance
[Solved] - installed sammobile image of OREO - Still no Google applications

I wanted to avoid rooting ... I tried side loading, did not work.
Case closed
I returned the C7018 and got a C7010 instead.

And to others who are stuck with this variant -
C7010 and c7018 are literally 99.99% same the only difference is c7010 has tgy csc and has google services while c7018 has no google play service and has chc....
If you don't want to stick around with c7018 with no play services and stuff ... then you can install a custom rom for your variant (Sudo Rom , Eulah rom , etc which support c7018 natively )
But if you don't want to void your Knox/warranty then you can flash this official firmware via Odin-https://firmware.gem-flash.com/index.php?a=downloads&b=folder&id=18703
So problem solved ....
Years later, I am writing an answer to the subject so that it is necessary for my old phone to get a solution. I have a samsung C7 Pro SM-7018 Android 6.0.1 phone. Since an application that I use very often does not work with Android 13, I took my old phone back to use it. I thought I'd do an update while I was ready. I downloaded the latest version Android OFW 8.0 Chinese Oreo software and installed it with odin. But I saw that Google play services are not available. I installed google play services and store. But didn't worked. I downloaded Android 7.0 but Odin didn't installed it. I tried to install OFW 6.0.1 but no way. After all I tried to instal custom fw but there is no OEM Unlock option in developer mode. so TWRP Recovery installation didn't work. At last I downloaded Hong Kong version SM-7010 OFW and installed it to SM-7018 now I have google services and store. also firmware includes my region language Turkish. No need to patch language or else. Now my Phone is OFW SM-7010 and 8.0 Oreo.
You can use SM-7010 Hong Kong OFW in SM-7018 c7 pro.
I tried a custom firmware but it didn't work and my phone kept restarting on boot. After 2 days I ended up installing an original firmware but my Samsung services more importantly "secure folder" is not working due to security reasons. I was wandering if you could help me fix that. My phone is A7 2018
I tried cash erasing and flashing my phone with an official rom. it has the latest update.
but still the problem is remained.
