Does anyone know of an app that will activate the screen when the camera detects motion? I don't want to take a picture or stream video (all of my searches return "security" apps which do this). I just want the screen to come on.
I have an older tablet that I want to just leave plugged in as a weather forecast display. I figured it would be nice to have it turn off when nobody is around...
I had a cracked screen on my Xiaomi Mi A2 Lite before and I bought the component to fix it myself, (replacing the screen using service just cost too much in UK, I can almost buy another brand new phone) however the lower half of the screen does not work.
Is there any app that use to make my screen smaller so that I can actually use the usable section of the screen only please?
There is a app Screen Resizer (itdo.at.screenresizer) but i never tested it. But you can enable rotation for lockscreen and launcher, and for soft buttons you can install Auto Hide Softkeys (com.gmd.hidesoftkeys)
On my Samsung s9+, using the "Smart View" feature allows me to view the screen and video (from, for instance, the TiVo app) on my fire stick. On my M5, using the "MirrorShare" feature, the screen sharing works right up till video starts playing, then all I see mirrored are the video controls, but not the video itself, it is all black (the sound comes through though). Anyone know why this would be? Is the M5 screen resolution too high to display on a 1080 fire stick or something? (But the samsung has a higher resolution than 1080 display too). Just curious. I can stick with the phone for screen sharing for now.
Is there any way to use only the second screen? I am not talking about muting the main screen by lowering the brightness through the dual screen tool, I mean just use the second screen.
Yes actually there is. It's kind of a workaround but I'm working on an app for it. Since it's an OLED display, pure black with no action on touch is essentially the same as screen off, though gestures will still work. I will post the APK here when I finish the app. In the meantime, download or create a png or jpg file that's just pure black, a black square essentially, of any resolution. Open it in your stock Gallery app on the main screen and click on it to make it go full screen. This doesn't disable touch but it will essentially turn off your primary screen even while actively using the second screen.

Nice! I have been doing the gallery trick but the picture tools and the status bar still show up.
Wow I'm really pumped now.

Sweet, sounds cool!
Use black screen app
Also rgb for selfie light
I use the Black Screen app as well. Especially useful when watching landscape video on second screen. Plus it's accessible as a toggle in quick settings.

Hello.
I have seen many apps that can record screen and use main camera at the same time. My Galaxy S7 even had option to use both (rear and selfie camera at the same time).
I was wondering, if there is a possibility for an app, that does screen recording (well more like streaming) and makes it availabe on device as camera.
In Short terms - I would like ability to stream my android screen with second app where i can chose that screen as camera input. As we know, TikTok allows to use front camera and back camera but can not see screen. Would it be possible to make a so called "Software camera source" where input is the whole screen of the phone and output is like a 3rd camera on phone and would be selectable as source on Tiktok app or any other app.
