Snek Map (1.19.1, 1.19.2) – Classic Arcade Game - Windows 11

Snek Map (1.19.1, 1.18.2) is a puzzle map designed by Henzoid. If you are familiar with the classic sneak game, then you will probably love this Snek game! Snek is a puzzle map about three kids and their pet snake working together to win their school’s science fair. The map’s gameplay features tile-based puzzles just like the original arcade game, “Snake”, but with additional elements and level-specific goals. The mao also contains a dialogue system so that you can interact with the characters throughout the game. Enjoy!

At work I work with Windows 10 and at home I've been running Windows 11 since I could upgrade via the Insider program. I very much prefer the latter but I guess it depends on what type of person you are. I always instantly upgrade (with some healthy delay) whenever a new version is released and aside for Vista (what in the bloody *%$é§ was that?!) I've never been disappointed. I didn't even mind Windows 8! Once you know how to navigate, everything flies smoothly. So I'm the type of person that easily gets acquainted with new user interfaces but many don't like change. Personally I don't feel that Windows 11 is all that different from its predecessor. It's a smoother experience and all menus have been streamlined a bit more. The only thing that bothers me a little is that it's become more tedious to connect to Bluetooth devices (Win 10 has a connect button in QS).
By all means: upgrade! Out with the old, in with the new. As long as it isn't a Vista disaster, I don't see any reason why you wouldn't upgrade every time.
Is there anything specific that's holding you back?

Thank you for posting that - you beat me to the punch.
There are SIGNIFICANT differences.
Say, @Timmmmaaahh! , you wouldn't happen to be the same Timmmaaahh how does some dev work for CURA, by way of a plugin for Dremel Digimax series of printers (3D20~3D45) by chance, would you?
Sry for the off topic, and confusion if im just talking non sense lol!

Windows 11 is great if you care about performance. Microsoft talked about the performance benefits and optimizations in Windows 11 in a YouTube video. Overall, the performance benefits in Windows 11 pretty much come down to the way the newer OS handles system processes that you usually see when you open Task Manager.
Windows 11 has seen its fair share of bugs, while the much older Windows 10 is more stable. Microsoft has been quick to fix issues with its latest OS, though. We’ve seen a bug that creates thousands of empty folders in File Explorer, as well as a bug that would massively slow SSD speeds. But it will be good soon.
Starting with the Start Menu, in Windows 11, it is a bit more simplistic. You only see a static list of apps, followed by your most frequented documents on the bottom. That might sound familiar, but it is important to note that Windows 11 drops out support for Live Tiles. If you really want to see information in your Start Menu at a glance, then Windows 10 is best.
And many more such benefits. I would say.. Go for it!!
Regards,
J Wick

In general, the performance advantages of Windows 11 are largely reduced to how the new OS handles system processes that you usually see when opening the Task Manager. According to Microsoft, Windows 11 does a great job of managing memory to give priority to the windows of applications that you have open and running in the foreground.

This has been mitigated by the Win 11 widget menu that can be summoned from the weather button bottom left. It's essentially an expanded version of weather, news, traffic incidents and whatever you want on there. All while the "Start" menu now focuses fully on applications and documents. I very much welcome this separation as the older menu was just a cacophony of random tiles no one really used. So even in this area Win 10 is no longer an argument.
Aside from the fear of change, I don't really understand why there's so much resistance/hesitation when new Win versions are introduced. It's not like we have any choice in the end. I mean, one can technically still be running XP, but to what end? To risk pretty much one's entire online existence? It restricts technical evolution IMHO.

Program Name : 3D AltTab
System Requirements : QVGA\VGA WM5 and WM6
Memory Requirements : 5mg during animation
Other Requirements : Phone must be unlocked!
Compatibility issues : Wont work with 2003 OSes!
Author : Roozbeh GHolizadeh
If you liked this program please donate!
This way you help further development of this application.
Description :
This program brings you a 3D cube which will be used to switch/rotate between running programs.
This will be useful if you assign a hardware button to it.Currently program dont do that automatically!
Use Settings->Personal->Buttons to do that.(assign it to '3D AltTab Switcher').
You can also customize your animation effects from settings, and also animation speed.
If program doesnt show animation either you are low on memory or you have to manually assign a Graphic engine(like GAPI or DirectX) to program.(from settings)
For gaining Startup speed of program, use make resident and also start server.
this way animation starts a bit faster!
---------- What is the server in settings -----------------------
--------- This explanation below is not for newbie users -----
--------- If you think yourself as an advanced user read this ---------------
Program also includes a server program.Which normally you can run it from program's settings.
The main purpose of this sever is to make animation smoother.
This server also prevent some black and bad/garbage windows during animation which you will get sometimes if you are not running this server.
This server will remain resident in memory(only 7kb)and takes snapshot of programs whenever you close them.
So the only speed penalty is when you click X button(and only this way),and no memory footprint.
Program saves screenshots of programs as bitmap files(.bmp) into a location where you installed this program.(Memory or Storage Card).
So if you do a lot multitasking(and also keep them open) it will consume your disk space.
Each screenshot is normally around 200kb.So if you have more than 3mg of free space in your storage card or internal storage you are safe!(it can accommodate more than 10 screenshots which you never open that much programs!).
Note that program only keep screenshots of current running applications so whenever you close one,you actually free screenshot and space from your memory/storage card.
Program also dont take screenshots when you reach storage space below around 1mg.
Because this server uses lots of undocumented APIs it MIGHT hang or ruin or DESTROY your device. So beware!(although it is unlikely).
Server also doesnt start automatically with windows. You have to run it by Program settings or put it into startup folder(file name is 3daltserver.exe).(which i did myself).
Anyway from users experiences running server all the time in background is safe and no harms so far has been reported.
So all this warning after more tests in next version will be removed.
NEVER EVER UNINSTALL PROGRAM WHILE SERVER IS RUNNING.
Future versions will prevent this but for now dont even think about doing that!

Enjoy.
Ill try it right away
Sounds cool! A Vista-like Flip 3d would be sweet too! Trying it now.
please report if it does work with your pocketpc model.
well.. it works wonderfully on my wizard.. it's a bit slow but considering it's a 195Mhz and i'm running other programs as well.. it's really really great. i'm all in for putting it as a built in task manager in my PPC.. and i'm getting my new polaris tomorrow and itll certainly be on it. thank you very much.
Seems to be working OK on a Sprint Mogul (HTC Titan). Mapped it to a hardware key, and it is switching like it should. I did get one device freeze immediately after mapping it to a hardware key and activating it. Some programs in particular (Internet Sharing and WMWiFiRouter so far)seem to always show a black screen when rotating. Mainly sounds like bugs you already know about. Can't wait to see where this goes.
Seems to be working OK on a htc niki
Look my video here .
Screenshots or a video would be good.....
Sounds like a nice app.
also.. how do you reside it in the memory? i put it on startup and all it did is switch a window when i loaded the PPC... didn't stay in memory.
you dont put it resident, thats what i should implement!
it is supposed to just run once!
oh.. my bad.. i'm a bit stupid during the evenings
anyways.. it's working great.. and i assume it'll be ultrafast if you resident it.
Video available : http://fr.youtube.com/watch?v=gVA71AQrESU
oo.. you know what would be cool? if you made it a round scroll instead of cubed... will seem much more fluent. (just an idea)
Good idea! I downloaded to my Elf, and it switches between dialpad and last call review, not between programs running
Great idea! I think as a task manager, anyway to make it load faster would be great!
screen shot:
Great idea. I have a big interest in this, especially if it's just a Vista style interface where I could keep pressing the button to cycle through the running apps. I'd also like to see the ability to NOT show certain apps, like ActiveSync.
Please keep up the good work!
thank you very much great tool
Great app, I don't open several apps at a time very often, but installed it to test and report.
Running on a Hermes with PDA Viet ROM. After installing it and mapping a hardware key, my device froze, but after rebooting it began working like a charm, lags a little at first, but it definitely looks promising.

try it on your own!
Tried it on Elf, stock wm6 rom. Works quite well, both from internal memory and from Storage Card! Eats about 2MB of memory while running with 6-7 tasks. Definitely awesome for a beta version, didn't try to figure out skinning yet so I don't know if it works. Only complaint is the bottom bar, it would look much better full screen. Super thanks for taking the time to update the code!
edit: and about 1.5MB without any tasks open. Wheep, that's a lot!

well, can't argue on that.
even worse, not only it keeps snapshots of all running apps. It takes new ones from time to time, so some productivity overhead as well.

tiny bug
I have MWC2 cursors installed and everytime i use dynamo the cursor keeps on running and running... I have to either exit dynamo (completely stop it) or completely exit MWC2 cursors..
By the way THANKS for the update and its working perfect on my TMo wing 6.0
Hey gps-lover. Huge thanks for taking the lead on this. Couple of things that I think should be addressed. First of all, I agree that the bottom bar isn't really necessary. Full screen would be welcome here. Also, the re-addition of settings back into the program is needed, and I'd love to see the ability to set a background image, not just a color. Another thing I'd like to see is to have tap-and-hold close a program. Having thumbnails of programs, but then having to click a teeny tiny X if you want to close one kind of defeats part of the purpose to me, and since tap-and-hold presently does nothing, that seems like a logical choice. And finally, is there any way to have Dynamo take a screenshot of a program running in the background? I ask because sometimes (many times) it will take a screenshot of a program as it is being minimized, or else it won't have taken it before something significantly changed on the screen so that the thumbnail displayed does not match up with the program. If Dynamo could take screenshots of background programs and display those, it would solve this nagging issue.
Anyway, thanks again for taking the time to work on this great program!

I found this to be a bit on the slow side on Diamond, but it's still a terriffic start. Keep optimizing and you'll have a legend of a program that'll be included in every custom ROM on the planet.

Here is a xBox live stats app for Windows Mobile. Its called WM Live and is still in beta.
WM Live runs on Windows Mobile powered devices, and it lets you sync your Xbox Live friends career / status / gaming history on your device so you can look it up while online OR offline. NET Compact Framework (which you might already have installed) is required.
Plz note : I am NOT the developer, just promoting it.
Developers Page and download : http://m.zaamit.com/wmlive/ [ via 1800PocketPC.com ]
And here's the developer
Thanks for the post theone, hope Xbox gamers enjoy my little app. All and any kind of feedback / suggestion is VERY welcome!
thanks bout to download now
awesome
What versions of Windows Mobile are supported?
(Please say WM2003SE)
I know it runs on wm2003, possibly with some graphic glitches. Personally, I've tested it on WM5, 6.1, and 6.5 in both portrait and landscape.
Just smartphones are unsupported at the moment.
@ zaamit : glad to see you here
well, glad of being an ungreatful lurker no more
Great App
Thanks!
I'll give it a try
Edit:
Just installed it on my TP2. Works like a charm. I was able to add my Xbox Live account as well as my friends.
Updates are nice and quick, as well as the app.
I like the sliding in and out animation for the Avatars.
I did find a minor bug.
When displaying an Avatar that has been set to maximum height the top of the head is cut off, in both Landscape and Portrait mode.
Here is an example, my avatar vs. my friends avatar:
One suggestion is to add borders to the Game Details popup (unless its borderless intentionally), its a lil hard to tell that something actually popped up with everything being white. Not a real big concern though.
Over all a great app.
Looking forward to seeing this app evolve.
Thanks so much for your feedback and the kind words too
You're right about the popup panel: it's borderless just because it was the quickest way to get it done, but the plan is to spice up the graphics a little bit before v1.0, so I'll definitely keep that in mind.
Quick update, as v0.9.4 is now available for downloading at that same address. As before, any comment / suggestion is more than welcome
Also, if you really like the app a Paypal donation is always appreciated. Goes without saying that it's not required and I will keep up with development as long as people use WM Live

This is a homescreen/lockscreen app I made, based off of the Windows Phone 7 Series Metro UI.
So far, you can:
Set Phone, Text, Outlook, and People to a certain app
See upcoming appointments on lock screen
See information on live tiles
Launch programs
etc.
Instructions
1) Download installer at bottom of post.
2) Copy to device and install
3) Run wp7s.exe from start menu
4) To access settings, double tap on right side of screen
5) To lock, tap the top bar (near clock)
Known issues
* Animations are sluggish at times.
* Problems with kinetic scrolling
* Unlock can unlock in any direction, not just up.
* ...need more feedback
Requirements
VGA or WVGA device, QVGA is possible but looks bad.
Recommended: Snapdragon processor or at least a very new phone.
Live tiles
The live tiles seen are web pages that auto-update with JavaScript.
In the video/screenshot, one is the current weather in New York,
the second one is the current trending Twitter topics,
and the last two are random changing numbers.
To make your own, just design a HTML or PHP file, use JavaScript to auto refresh, upload it somewhere, and set it to one in the settings!
Also, here are some examples I've made:
Random Number (for testing) - http://jaxbot.com/livetiles/random.php
Top 4 trending topics - http://jaxbot.com/livetiles/twitter.php
Weather - http://jaxbot.com/livetiles/weather.php?zipcode=[ZIPCODE]
Upcoming features
More customization (background, etc)
Smoother animations/scrolling
Ability to rearrange icons
Social networking integration

Wow that looks great! I'll be testing this soon.

Awesome Development
The Windows 7 Series Phone use Segoe UI font and it would be nice to see it ported as well.
Great development.
this sounds good
i have tried in QVGA (HTC ARTEMIS) its look good
nice try buddy
Nice to see an early port.
However, I think this really highlights the a major issue with the current WinMo 6. That the graphics are on the whole incompetent - poor support for transparency, and horrible font smoothing.
it look pretty well, but it doesn't work on my lg-gm750, wen i execute the exe file says: there is a problem, please reboot your device or se more detaills

The reason why it says FileNotFoundException is probably due to it looking in \Program Files\wp7s\config.txt, but it may be something else (since it should just ignore it if there's no config and just use default settings).
I'll look into it, and hopefully I'll have a smoother, better running build out later today or tomorrow.
EDIT: Found the problem, it's trying to pull images from \My Documents\My Pictures, which is obviously only good for English devices. I'll give an option to change it and have it patched in the next build.
Thanks
iot works on my wwe hd2 and runs much faster than in your video. it crashes a few minutes after i use it but its nice progress

What's the error?

However, I think this really highlights the a major issue with the current WinMo 6. That the graphics are on the whole incompetent - poor support for transparency, and horrible font smoothing.

Exactly my point, I'm still trying to get around this, but it'll be some time.
Again, thanks for the feedback all, and look forward to a new build soon.
thanks for your work.
i can't get it to work on my hd2 (german).
already edited all the paths to match the german version.
still no success. "wp7s.exe DirectoryNotFoundException".
what directory is the exe searching for??

The problem is that it is looking for \My Documents\My Pictures\.
Try creating that path and placing a few images in there, or wait for the next build (should be soon).

Nice...Good stuff! Will wait for the beta or final version!
looks really nice and fingerfriendly. hope there will be a new keyboard too. the keyboard used in ubuntu isn´t really usable, good onscreen keyboard would be great.
This is very nice!
How can I be chosen to beta test? Would love to help out and have a lot of experience. Thank you.

now why would you wanna do that?
the only reason i can think of is that you failed to look up the many (free) alternatives to the programs you use on windows.
running things like wine opens up your computer to the many thousands of virusses and other bad things, which you didn't have to worry about if you wouldn't have installed it.
and no i'm not saying that there are no virusses for linux, because there are, not many tho.
when it comes to games, the good software houses have the linux executables on there site.
you simply get the windows version from the shop you like and use the linux binarie to install it.

Looking good

some misunderstanding...^^;;
I'm sorry, I didn't mean to like that.
The only reason I said that because I seen 'windows' in picture.
there's not other means.
Can we make and receive calls ??

No you can't on ARM.
From Wine's website:
"You cannot run "normal" Windows Apps on ARM yet."
Eg. you cannot run x86 Windows apps on Wine on ARM. I think they're preparing for the future as Microsoft just announced that Windows is being ported to ARM, thus some Windows apps will be compiled for Windows/ARM. Wine uses native x86 calls, that's not going to change. It's not really an emulator per se, just a compatibility layer so to speak.
very nice
if hd2 can run windows 7 will be perfect

sorry to if my response was to harsh, i can get carried away being a linux fan/user.
i tryed running gnome3 in a virtual machine but thats not useable on my setup.
so the next is sort of guess work.
gnome/kde/xfce are window managers, just like microsoft window has on top of there dos/shell (disc operating system).
(if this causes someone to start flaming, lookup blackbox for windows before you do so, thats a replacement for the standard (explorer) window manager on windows)
so the windows link you see would suggest to me the open windows on the host, nothing more.

Troll bait. I'm not going to bite.. hard.
I'm sure there's an app for that. If there isn't, there's probably a theme to dress it up to look like Win7 fully with BSoD and all.
